I enjoyed my six weeks at curves but did get bored of it towards the end. I was quoted £36 per month with a £150 joining fee!!!
No power plate either. I think I'd rather pay for a gym membership where I get pool, gym, classes etc but that's just me.

I did 2 months (I think, it was a few years ago now) at curves and I was pretty bored at the end of it.

The other thing I didn't like about it was you couldn't adjust the intensity of the toning machines. There was one (can't remember which one now) that I found really easy but couldn't make it more difficult, and one I found quite difficult but couldn't make it lighter.

It was good for getting me into a routine of going though. When you know it's only for 30 mins 3 times a week. When I was going to the gym I felt like I hadn't been there for long enough if I only went for 30 mins.

So Curves is a short term hobby for everyone, maybe I could do my 2 months and move along to something else then. Undecided, no exercise today, if I do 3 times a week for now that will be an improvement and I'll work up to every day like @LittleBoots. The rain isn't helping, it's not nice going outside.

I used the rain today as an excuse to not go for a c25k. I'm not that committed yet!
I did do a shred and have had trouble getting on and off chairs all day !! Nice
If you enjoyed curves then go for it, there were people in the club I went to who had berm going regularly for years

Just saw on the news that gas and electricity prices are to increase by 10-20% in October :( Things are supposed to get better going forward, not more difficult with every passing month.

Then toxic friend rang me earlier and I barely had a chance to say "hello" before she was demanding that I call her back. The calls are included in my bill anyway so I can call people back no problem but it's just on principle. The girl is 34 and has never paid for any kind of household utility. She only spends on clothes, hairdresser, beauty treatments

Plus the rain is pouring down again tonight.

Just thought of another problem (sorry for being so negative tonight)- the checklist. Is it actually possible to do all the things on it in a day? Exercising, drinking water, taking vitamins, surveys, mystery shopping, studying, listing on eBay, housework, skincare, inspirational reading, keeping in touch with friends, outfit planning and loads of other not particularly huge tasks I can't think of just now. I'm sure other people could do it but I'm overwhelmed by it.

Mags are you being forced into these activities?? ;)
If you like a list then make it of things YOU WANT to achieve, not what you think you should.
Things like skincare (basic), drinking water and taking vitamins could just be incorporated into your daily routine so you don't have to make a big deal out of them

Hmm not sure if that made sense but the iPhone won't let me delete!!

Thanks :A I'm typing on the phone too!

Loads of the things on the list are basic things which should be easy to incorporate into daily routine but today I didn't drink water, I did my proper skincare in the morning but then just used a face wipe tonight.

I don't like doing surveys, ebaying or mystery shopping but I need to do it for the extra income. I don't need to do all 3 every day but I'd feel very productive if I did manage to.

The study and exercise I want to do but usually one leaves me too tired to start on the other.

Confession time: I don't always brush my teeth before I go to bed
    Minging I know
Give yourself a break, prioritise the things that are most important then slot in the rest if you can
I know you do a lot of surveys etc but are they really worth the added stress? Try look at them as a lil extra for treats, not a full on necessity

Went back to Curves today, enjoyed it and paid €39 for a months membership. No joining fee although if there was there's no way I'd have paid it. Bit strange though because the girl working there today was rather large. She was offering me loads of advice of weight loss and I felt slightly uncomfortable because I couldn't stop thinking "you really need to hop up on a few of those machines yourself :o" It is a bit strange having someone who's much larger than you offering weight loss advice in a gym. I didn't ask for any of this advice by the way, I'd feel wired asking someone much larger than me for weight loss advice. She was really lovely though and mad to chat.

Also got my hair trimmed. Paid €12 for a quick dry cut, just to straighten the ends. That combined with what I paid Curves still comes in at less than the €60 the other salon charges for cutting.

The council were out today with the police (or guards as they are called here) checking and sealing manholes in preparation for the Queens visit later this month. There is blue spray paint all over the footpaths where they have sealed the manholes. I can't imagine how awkward this will be for drain cleaning companies or phone companies who have underground cabels.

And speaking of royal family I'm loving the pictures of Kate out with her shopping trolley today. I'm so obsessed with her.
