New toiletries are always nice...I'm a Clinique girl too, when I can afford it!

    Hiya,

I might follow you along if you don't mind! I'm living in Kerry (and my name is mags too!) and it's great to see things from an Irish perspective on here! I never knew there were so many survey sites that I could actually use, thought they were all for UK only.

    Enjoy the long weekend!
  • When I did Avon I loved orders of any size - all gratefully recieved!

hope you are enjoying the time off

Thanks Buffy. Wondering why everyone is talking about having done Avon in the past but not any more? I've found the Avon thread on here (it's on the Up Your Income board) and had a look at the links to the future catalogues. I like having an Avon lady, hope she keeps doing it for a bit.

You are so welcome to join in. I found MSE over a year ago and I love it here. Loads of the offers apply for Ireland too as we mostly have the same shops and brands.

If the survey site pays by paypal or Amazon vouchers then you can do it from pretty much anywhere although I did stretch the truth a little by pretending I live in Northern Ireland when I signed up. Start with onepoll maybe, the surveys are short and it's popular around here.

You could do some mystery shopping too. The places I mystery shop have branches in Killarney/Tralee. If you want to do this I can direct you to the relevant websites. I'm in Cork by the way, city based, not sure if you've worked that out or not from my diary.

To be honest it takes a while to get into the surveys and mystery shopping because there are so many sites to register for. But if you got started now you could be quite established at it by the time your job ends.

No, I mostly move between Cork city and West Cork. Probably does sound like I'm in Dublin from all the shops I constantly mention.

Forgot to add that my hair was in gorgeous condition today after using the Avon products last night. I think it was the lotus shield serum in the orange bottle that did it. Wondering if small orders annoy Avon ladies  I gave her another order for €14 and while I'm happy to buy a few things from her I definitely won't be putting in any big orders.

@polesalot How much do you order from your Avon lady?

I might get some of that serum. My avon lady is my supervisor's daughter. I don't always order every time the books are brought in. Sometimes I buy loads (but mainly if it's been discounted) other times I might just buy a lipstick. Nearly every time I get my odre she has put a little extra in like a shower gel or hair mask :)

I don't think they would mind however little you ordered.

Oh you get it at work, that's really handy. If a few people are ordering from the same place small orders would add up. I was just afraid that with petrol being so expensive it would be a nuisance to deliver small orders. I think €10 or so should be ok, as I said I've ordered €14 this time but I really couldn't have her deliver something that cost €3.

I've been out all evening, walking mostly but I did run for a bit :T and I feel quite good after it so must do it again.

I went to the "Stations of the Cross" for Good Friday. Bit strange that for someone who marked "no religion" on her Census form but there's a reason. It was an outdoor event in a public park and it sounded sort of nice plus it was a reason to exercise.

Took me half an hour to walk there (in my Reebok easy tones :)) and I walked/ran round the park a few times before walking home. There was some absolutely beautiful singing and the sun was shining. It was attended mostly by older people but lots of younger people out exercising and dog walking were watching but not participating in prayers. Was a nice way to spend the evening.
