Why was your husband tailgating in the first place? I assume he was since he would have had plenty of time to stop if he was keeping the correct distance.
This is irrelevant. The OP is asking questions about insurance.
OP - it's too late now but it's always a good idea to take a couple of photos if you have an accident.0 -

I have always been told to never make assumptions, if you dont know the full details you shouldn't make acusations.
I came on here just for advice, not for anyone to be accused of anything.0 -

What can I say.. I'm curious. If the husband was worried so much about the cost of insurance, why would he put himself in the position to cause a crash and thus face higher premiums? I'm just trying to understand the logic. We’ve had to remove your signature. Ok so let's say the car slammed on its brakes, your husband still would have had time to stop should he have kept to the 2 car lengths assuming it was a 30mph road.
I'm not making accusations - I don't need to but the evidence is pretty clear... He was tailgating the car infront, she braked for whatever reason and he rammed the back of it. This accident could have been completely avoided. We’ve had to remove your signature. He was too close to the car in front, it stopped he hit it. Not much of an assumption is it?0 -
It is your fault if you hit someone up the chuf!
However google "crash for cash" it is a pretty lucrative pastime! Plus seeing it now could be a different model and reg No?0
