I'm lactose intolerant, but find that cheese doesn't affect me in that way for some reason.
Yep, no cheese, cream, milk, yoghurt and icecream. When I first cut it out they wanted me to have none, not a morsel, for 3 months and I couldn't even eat biscuits or pot noodles (I had only been living away from home for a year and a half so hadn't masted eating properly). I used to have dairy binges too when I'd eat a whole pizza's worth of cheese topping (but not all the base) or a whole tub of Ben and Jerrys and then lie feeling really really ill curled in a ball thinking was it worth it! I just grew out of it though! I think I've got a poor digestive system cos I had IBS for a while and then that calmed down as well.
Do you have the lactofree milk and such? I used to have the milk but the cheese was lame so I bet you're glad you're not allergic to that.0 -
Hi adelightHappy birthday n9eav!
esmf, is it only you he pays in that way? I was paid in that month late sort of way at my old job, but everyone was there. Bit weird if it's only you being paid that way, get ear bashing!
rozmister, congrats, what a motivation booster
Morning all, had a glorious lie in with no alarms, no boys charging round the house, noone waking up ill asking me for help. Wonerful
Going to shower then go get milk from tesco, I discovered a 2kg bag of pudding rice last night, so unless anyone can suggest any other uses for it, i'm going to be eating lots of rice pudding! Shall put bain-marie style rice pudding & chick pea pilaf in the slow cooker around 3(i knew keeping all those jars would come in handy!), should be ready to eat when I get back from uni at 7!
I have used pudding rice to make risotto it turns out just as creamy as the aborio rice that is normally used in making risotto.:DWW start date 31/8/2011 :j
weight lost so far:- 32lbs :T0 -

I don't have milk, cream, yoghurt or ice cream really, the odd small amount occasionally is usually ok but I try to avoid it. I have IBS too, but it comes and goes as to how bad it is.
I haven't tried any of the lacto-free stuff yet, I don't think it was in the shops when I first had to cut out lactose. I have soya milk and yoghurts. I actually quite like them! Especially the yoghurts as I was never keen on dairy ones anyway.

The milk is really good, can't tell the difference just like real milk (because it is) but it's pretty pricey. I don't know about the yoghurts because I didn't used to eat yoghurts and I like the chocolate alpro pudding things but the cheese was a definite no-no when I ate it. It was like plastic cheese, didn't have any real flavour and wasn't that great!
How long have you been lactose intolerant?
I want some penis shaped baked goods!!0 -

I've got a load of dresses from DD, they are sooooo pretty BUT as much as I'd love to keep every single baby dress she had I can't justify the storage space so they will be listed once the weather warms up.
Kitchen cleaned so need to do the dining area now.
he has 4 pairs of dungarees but still fits in them! he was given them bya friend who little boy is 5 now and he was given them by another relative and they are still in good condition! so can see why they sell well"I have learnt that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one""You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.”Maya Angelou0 -
