i'm sorting out ds' old clothes. he has a wardrobe and a big chest of drawers full :o a lot of it he has outgrown or starting to so being brave and bag it up! have pretty much just left the new stuff he got for christmas

trying to decide what to do with it... i have kept everything from when he was a baby except stuff that was too stained :o the thing is we've run out of space to store anymore :( i could send them to a charity shop as most of it is in good nick. some of it has only been worn a few times so not going to throw it away! just the first time i've parted with any of his stuff :(:rotfl:

Is it any good for ebay or pass onto a friend....there my 1st choices before CS...

Kitchen done, must start hallway and front room now (rolls eyes)

Morning all,and Happy Birthday N9eav,enjoy your celebrations.

Redruby-glad your Dad is going home, bet he is too!
Bitsy- I've not had any probs with the site or internet-hope it sorts itself.

I think I am going to go to my nieces house today-I've not been yet, though she hasnt moved in properly yet.I think she wants me to alter some curtains that are in what will be baby's room.Sadly things don't seem to be working too well with the bumps dad-I don't think he's ready for the responsibility, financially and emotionally. He's moved back to his parents, but she'll cope as she's strong minded and will have lots of help from family.I did some more on the baby blanket last night.

I made some thick soup yesterday too, with l.o chicken, pearl barley and lentils and veg-thats my lunch sorted.I'll freeze some too.Not sure whats for tea-will dig in the freezer in a minute.Right off to tidy the kitchen.Have a good day all.x

  • Morning everyone!

Happy birthday nea9v!!! Sounds like you've got a lush day planned, I'm jealous of your steak.

esmf73 - What is your bosses reason for not paying you? It sounds really risky like you could keep working indefinitely and never get paid. With small businesses sometimes they delay paying wages just before they go into administration so if this could be the case be careful!

I'm very chirpy today. Didn't know what to wear to work today and picked out a jacket I bought in the New Look sale (last year) that when it came in the post was too tight and almost strained on me. Thought I'd try it on to see how it looked and if I was remembering it badly and....It's not straining. It's comfortable!! The cut is a bit funny so I pinned it together further down (needs better spaced buttons) and everyone in my office has been commenting on it and saying how nice it is. Am very very chuffed! I've only lost 8 1/2lbs but thank god it's come off somewhere!

I'm at work today with absolute heaps to do and I'm not in Friday as I have a wedding on Saturday. I'm going to have an evening of organising and tidying and packing for going away tonight. I'm very excited!

I have a homemade caramelised onion and goats cheese filo tart with baby spinach leaves for lunch and will be having a chicken breast stuffed with light philly, wedges and mushrooms for dinner. I'm really craving steak now though!!

, is it only you he pays in that way? I was paid in that month late sort of way at my old job, but everyone was there. Bit weird if it's only you being paid that way, get ear bashing!
rozmister, congrats, what a motivation booster

Morning all, had a glorious lie in with no alarms, no boys charging round the house, noone waking up ill asking me for help. Wonerful :) Going to shower then go get milk from tesco, I discovered a 2kg bag of pudding rice last night, so unless anyone can suggest any other uses for it, i'm going to be eating lots of rice pudding! Shall put bain-marie style rice pudding & chick pea pilaf in the slow cooker around 3(i knew keeping all those jars would come in handy!), should be ready to eat when I get back from uni at 7!

In my experience it's this stuff that sells the best. Mothercare, Sainsbury/Tesco stuff I've not always been able to shift. Oh and if you've got any denim dungarees on there get them on ebay, every single pair I had left from DS got sold with plenty of watchers.
I've got a load of dresses from DD, they are sooooo pretty BUT as much as I'd love to keep every single baby dress she had I can't justify the storage space so they will be listed once the weather warms up.

Kitchen cleaned so need to do the dining area now.

    Morning (Just)

Been shopping did Waitrose,M&S and Farmfoods and really pleased as only spent £47 in total. Got 2 whole chickens for £2.99 each in waitrose, they were reduced from £4.99. We will have one tonight and I will freeze the other one.

Just had an early lunch and then I will need to move my behind and get some housework done.

Sun is shinning but still a bit cold. Was blowing a gale last night but much calmer today thankfully.

    Have a good day all.

    Morning All

Happy Birthday N9eav :bdaycake:Enjoy your steak
A very merry unbirthday to you Julie67:p:p

Glad your Dad is coming home on Saturday redruby - Some of these SW are bloody useless - I hope you get things sorted in time (((((Hugs))))

I have been a busy bee this morning
First we went to our local freezer trade shop and got plenty of meat to last us the month and probably beyond - You have to get things when you see them there because quite often things sell out and they don't get them back in for another 6 months and sometimes not at all :(
We spent £48 and for that we got a turkey, 2 large joints pork loin, a large joint of gammon, 6 packs back bacon, 2 bags scampi ( without the batter), 3 bags steak mince, 2 bags diced chicken, a bag of minted lamb chump chops, a bag of chicken skewers, 2 pizzas and 2 macadamia and chocolate ice cream
( the bags usually do 2-3 meals as do the joints :D)

When we got back I made some home roasted potatoes and I will freeze them when they cool down, I am going to make some y puds and freeze them next. ( I do this so DS and DD can have a proper roast dinner while me and DH are on a Low Carb diet - so much easier than faffing around at meal times and I have made four seeded batch loaves which are prooving now.

Well I am off to wash up then to grab some lunch ( left over low carb cottage pie from last night with a bit of salad)
Have a good afternoon everyone x
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
