Redruby - Sainsbugs had a 6.5l slow cooker on offer at the weekend - not sure whether you feel that might be too big for you? Its what I use all the time but there's seven of us!
D-Day!!! or should that be R-day? handing in my notice today.....I'm really nervous about it - I'm concerned that because its a small business the Partners will take it personally and its not personal at all. I need a reference of them so I don't want them to get moody on me
Happy birthday N9eav
Enjoy your day

Yesterday my boss said I wouldn't be paid for January until the end of February - he said the same about December at the beginning of January. So I thought about it and decided that I was worth a bit more than that. So I'm not going in today. He's been on the phone trying to convince me otherwise. But (fortunately) I now have two sick little boys and a house that looks like a bomb has hit it - so I've MORE than enough to get on with.
x
I'm afraid I think he is taking the mick too , you cannot work for nothing, you have bills to pay and food to buy, I would not be going back until some pay was forth coming. Your lads and OH need you a lot more than some bloke who has not paid you for months, hope you get something sorted xx0 -
Happy Birthday, N9eav! Have a great day! :bdaycake:
I've just woken up - a bit later than usual because I didn't sleep too well. Will pop back later when I've caught up with myself!
One thing I do know - it's b****y freezing here this morning!

Dinner was fish, chips/jacket, beans/veg. Work was horrendously busy yesterday - was really ready to come home last night, have to see what today brings!

Happy birthday Nea9v!
Day is cold and sunny--max of 9 forcast but down to zero at night.--our combi is earning its investment--its a year old now but only sees heating mode in january and february. december's gas bill was 5 quid for cooking and showers.--the gas meter reader is overdue but i expect he will come today -as will the water and electricity meter men---they give you a print out of your usage for the month which gets paid by dd so its a mix of old fashioned and modern--its much better for keeping control of things.-Before we had gas we had an oil heating system that was impossible to tell how much was left in the tank--when it was removed there was over a 100 quids worth of fuel-i syphoned it off and gave it to the in-laws.
Mrs De is heading towards ikea later for office furniture at the school-its end of term holiday and she get things done like this.i get a new desk and the secretary is being moved to where i sit now! İ also get my new laptop to accompany the desk--the electrician is also coming to do all the wiring and telephony movements--there are 5 credit card machines that need moving with the secretary--it will be interesting to see where i end up sitting!--i liked my old seat which had a view of all the passing people but i was being mistaken as someone who could help as people entered the business!(i dont even speak Turkish so i was basically never going to help anyone).
My day is dotted with 3 lessons which stretch from 1pm til 8pm so its going to be another day of waiting--i will be about here watching what goes on!
your boss---has he been paid??? last year i went 12 month without any money so the staff could be paid--thats what bosses should do!mfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.0 -
I wrapped up in thermals to walk the dog...and it's not really that cold! Dog had a good run though, and is now sleeping on the sofa.
I have hit the half stone mark today
Aiming for a 6lb loss in february. 21lbs left to go!
Happy birthday N9eav

Good Morning All,
Happy Birthday Nea9v:beer:
Thank you for the birthday wishes but its not my birthday until 21st Feb. When I said its my birthday, I meant in Feb :rotfl:sorry
Redruby glad your getting sorted with your dad
Well still no car as DH is not working so he is still taking mine. It means more NSD though.
I need to walk to the post office to post an Am@zon sale and will list some more books today. I have more cookery and diet books than anyone could ever possibly need. Will list the ones I don't use.
Tea tonight is leftover pork.
Did you watch baking made easy last night. I really like the recipes she makes. I might have a go at the salt and pepper breadsticks on Sunday as mum and dad are coming over for lunch, supposedly DB and SIL as well but they are having problems at the moment, again, only been married a couple of years and its not looking good.
Have a good day peeps JStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.
