morning all
i'm glad i'm not the only who has baking disaters!
i made some twinks yesterday that turned out into one huge biscuit and some scones that went diasterously wrong! i took the scones out of the oven (after they had an extra 5mins cos i forgot about them
) and was wondering why they hadnt risen. it suddenly occured to me to check which flour i had used. yup! i used plain instead of self raising
:rotfl: so the boys had crunchy cheesey type biscuits instead
things are getting back to normal here (i hope!). my family are giving me grief and are probably reading this  but hey ho!
i had a bizzare dream that i went to pick my ds up from nursery but he was already home with his dad. they asked why i left my old job and i told them the story. one of the staff then told me that my reference was written by someone called sarah (dont know a sarah!) :undecided as i went out to the carpark to go home i found the car had been trashed. no wheels, windows or seats. so i tried to call alan but my phone had been trashed too even though it was on me the whole time. all the staff locked up the nursery and went leaving me standing there inthe dark
i woke up and didnt want to go back to sleep as i didnt want to know what happened next :rotfl:
anyway silly dreams aside! two loads of washing have been on and dried (in TD
) i cant stand having washing drying everywhere! roll on the summer when it takes 10 mins to dry in the sun. we have a south facing garden so sunshine all day long!
i have taken some mince out od the freezer so spag bol for dinner tonight. well i have it without the mince. just add peppers and more mushrooms to have with the spaghetti and sauce. the boys will have garlic bread with it as well and i'll sit with a peg on my nose for the rest the of evening
happy birthday to nea9v :beer::beer:
hope everyone else has a good day!
ETA esmf hope you get paid soon!
hester - i have done that before and nothing come of it!! obviously wasnt intentional! could possibly be the same garage i used as we're in the same area!"I have learnt that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one""You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.”Maya Angelou0 -

dont you just hate it when you have such random dreams that feel so real but when you tell anyone they sound stupid :rotfl:"I have learnt that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one""You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.”Maya Angelou0 -
Morning all
Quick one from me, long working day yesterday and today so looking forward to Thursday off :j.
HM soup for lunch though it's so thick with veg and pulses you can almost cut in in slices
, just got something and rice out of the freezer for a quick dinner - hmmmmmm no label :rotfl:. Ingredients out of freezer also to add to flour etc for parmesan and sun dried tom bread in the BM.
WM on but it's wet so it'll be another drape around the radiators.
Well done to the weightloss people - mine is dropping very slowly but in the right direction so I can't complain!
Have a good day.

January was complete carp as far as watching the pennies, GC, dejunking etc went - none of these really happened properly!
However, new month, new start, so am starting new GC, have done food stocktake & meal plans last night, got a load of bin bags ready to sort stuff into sell, charity shop or throw piles. It's a bit less cold here this morning & DS back at nursery after Fri & Mon being INSET days - blooming long weekend! - so got to hit the ground running this morning.
Hope you all have good days - missed a month's news, so congrats and/or hugs to whoever needs them.
A xxoo
this is what puts me off decluttering really, I end up with piles of carp I have to shift there and then (which never happens). House always looks worse after a decluttering session. I've got a couple of bankers boxes in our bedroom of stuff I want to take to table sale we're going to end of this month! I would really like to just get rid but if I can make some money from it I'd rather do that. <sigh> shall just have to suck it up for the time being.
Morning everyone
Wet and rainy here so not too cold (although I wouldn't want to break the shorts out just yet :rotfl:)
Plans today are to clean and scrub kitchen a la my very own Flylady rota and might make some cheese straws with DD. All that will probably mean the kitchen has to be cleaned twice :rotfl:
I really ought to do some decluttering in my wardrobe, what with CM paperwork, shoes, crafting stuff there isn't room for it all
Some of it's got to go.........
Tea is a makeshift tonight as I have 3rd week of my Autism course.
N9eav - Are you now officially a grumpy OLD man?
;) Happy Birthday hope you have a good one.
Nic1 - Hope you're OK xx
esmf - Sorry but I wouldn't be going back until I was paid. He's not showing you any commitment financially and he wouldn't work for free so not sure why you should have to. Wouldn't be so bad if he tried to meet you half way and offer you a partial sum of your wages. Is he having cash flow problems??
Redruby - Hugs, just seems more unncessary stress for you all xx
Hugs spoons and high fives all round. Have a good day OS or not.
Anyone else having problems with MSE? Internet kept freezing when I was on this site yesterday and again this morning

i'm sorting out ds' old clothes. he has a wardrobe and a big chest of drawers full :o a lot of it he has outgrown or starting to so being brave and bag it up! have pretty much just left the new stuff he got for christmas
trying to decide what to do with it... i have kept everything from when he was a baby except stuff that was too stained
the thing is we've run out of space to store anymore
i could send them to a charity shop as most of it is in good nick. some of it has only been worn a few times so not going to throw it away! just the first time i've parted with any of his stuff
