Hi i'm in hampshire and get mine from ebay for 59 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251715966410
they deliver all over never had a problem with them0 -
Just enquired for a price from two branches of Cam Gas. Sandycroft and Ffynnongroew £56 and £55 respectively.
Guy at Ffynnongroew said the price had been the same for two years. The upside was that he would not charge a bottle deposit..
Which branch of CamGas are you using?
Apologies, only just read this post.
I use the Sandycroft branch. I'm still paying the same, it's actually £47 per bottle not £48 like i originally quoted. I'm an account holding customer and have been for over 10years, wonder if that is why it is cheaper for me. I only get through about 6-8 bottles a year incidentally so my rate is not from bulk buying.
Price includes next day delivery and removal of empty bottle too.0 -

Hi to everyone, Had some junk mail in the post today. If it helps anyone then this was from Flogas.Up to £40 off your first order on 47kg cylinders. Order upto 4x47kg and receive £10 off each cylinder on your first order. The promo code for this is OCT47. Valid on first order only, purchased between 20/10/2014 and 11/12/2014. Max 4 bottles. Bla bla bla. Not open to existing customers. Maybe use a different name!. Reason for posting this is that it may help someone over the winter and saves them some money which I would doubt, but you never know.0

I am astounded at some of the prices that people are being charge fo 47kg bottles of gas. So I offer this tip so that you can make a comparrison as to what you should be paying with what it is that you are being charged. There is roughly 93 litres of propane gas in a 47kg bottle. This is important to remember. Propane is also known as autogas and LPG. So have a look at what is being charged at your nearby petrol stations for autogas/LPG. Not all petrol stations sell Autogas/LPG. You can also use the internet to check the local Autogas/LPG prices at your nearby petrol stations:

I hope that this info is of use to some of you and that you make good use of it.0 -

Am not sure how this is meant to help - my local petrol station sells LPG which a few of my friends fill up with as they have LPG conversions on their cars. However, there is no method of filling up a 47Kg container directly yourself at the local garage.0 -

Hi, there is a method that is employed to refill bottles direct from the filling station autogas pumps. The purpose of my post was not to allude to this, but to show people the difference between what people are being charged for a bottle of 47kg 93 litres and what the same 93 litres of propane aka Autogas aka LPG would cost them at the forecourt. Also consider that the autogas sold at the forecourts has road fuel duty added to it at 5%. At this moment my nearest petrol station is selling Autogas for 61.9 pence. Lets round that up to 62 pence and times that by 93 litres. £57.66 is what it would cost you for the same amount of propane from the petrol station and that is with road fuel duty included. As some are paying £71 and even more in Northern Ireland then it becomes clearer as to the extent that they are being ripped off. The rip off is not the fault of the retailer as it is the supplier who is dictating the price to the retailer. So to conclude. People should take note of the price of Autogas at the petrol stations in order to compare the price of a bottle of gas and use this as a guide as what they should expect to pay.0 -

There must be some sort of regulation to prevent that here (Northern Ireland) because I have asked before, and have been told definitely that you cannot fill a gas cylinder at a petrol station. As for NI being ripped off, well, at over £90 for one cylinder, yes, we are, but without any real competition, it's hard to see prices ever coming down...0
