Have been using my Liz earle Aftersun today with lavender and Aloe vera in it to soothe some hives rashes on my legs and torso. Has helped with the burning feeling and some antihistamine has stopped the itching. Bit fed up as I have had chronic hives (urticaria) for nearly three years and have not had a flare up for ages - even came off the meds in January. I was all geared up to tell my consultant immunologist in April that I was fully better and that I've come off the tablets etc. and now it seems it's still there:wall:

Might have to go "shopping in my stash" to cheer me up.:)

Oooh I do feel for you - I get horrid hives but usually only in the summer although I did get it one time this winter after sleeping on my side - assume my legs got really hot stuck together all night! I also use calamine & Aloe vera gel (Holland & Barrett) + anti-hists. The worst thing is that it just takes forever to go. Big gentle hugs...I will look out for that Liz Earle cream you mentioned too, tx.

It's called Clinique All About Eyes Serum - de-puffing eye massage.

I find I have to use a serum under my moisturiser. I did go without when I'd finished my EL Ideallist and was trying an Elemis moisturiser from a gift set, but my skin used to start feeling really tight. Found a no7 p&p samplel and used that under the same moisturiser and it felt much better. I do sometimes skip serum if I'm in a rush, but my skin definitely feels more hydrated when I use both together.

95 and counting. And that's not even three shelves :(

I hope you feel better soon Bev :grouphug:

Tx for the No 7 P&P serum review - I'm wondering whether to add a serum to my routine and this is the one I'm currently leaning towards. Can't work out why they are so expensive though!! 3 for 2 seems the best offer but a large initial outlay and that would be no buying toiletries in March now.....hoping some knowlegeable person will start the next thread....

My bathroon bin is now overflowing with UUs - had to finally empty (housekeeping, pah!) it as it's bin day/re-cycling tomorrow: Champneys Citrus glowl(boo hoo), S&G mini hair conditioner, some weird green shower gel (original source), toothpaste, palmolive shower gel (honey and something - very lovely and great as bubble bath) ...so hopefully this sort of ish justifys my earlier confession of INs.

Had a lovely LUSH bubble bath and now feeling buffered and smoothed......ahh. Even the bf has admitted to liking the sickly S&G smell!
Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!

How are people packaging the toiletries for Give and Make-up? My first thought was shoe boxes, but I only have a couple of spare boxes and secondly they dont fit that much in or weigh too much. Are you then wrapping the boxes, if so with what? I have never done this before except for the christmas shoe boxes which I covered with christmas paper.

Also how are people managing to weigh the boxes, dont know if its my scales but when I weighed the first box it was 2.4kg so I tried taking a couple of items out and then my scales would not give out a reading, only way I could find around it was to weigh myself and then hold the box - felt a bit like packing for holiday and weighing myself holding a suitcase :D

I have emailed them to see if I can drop off instead of post, as I have 2 carrier bags full and struggling to pack, hopefully I will hear back from them soon.

Thanks for the label link Mccullouch :T
  • Well went into B**ts at the weekend foe some eye-makeup remover - my No.7 one hasn't lasted very long BUT that was all I bought :j
I also had a Fish Pedicure  must admit my feet felt soooo soft afterwards :)
