  • Sawan and Lyndsey - I hope it all gets better for you soon, sending you strength and good vibes!

No UUs to report for me, been a bit off for a day or two. Found out on Friday that I have to have a little op on my foot, fairly standard operation but I am stupidly worried about it. That's what you get for looking things up on the net and seeing pictures :(

Will be sending two boxes of bits off to Give and Make up on Monday, and plannign the challenge for March! Have been a good girl and not bought anything since I joined, and I think I can get through March without adding to the stash either. Well, I don't need anything, but the willpower night take a battering at some point!

Have planned things for most weekends in March to avoid shopping for stuff I don't need, but it is likely to involve hotel toiletries being added to the pile - perhaps an automatic OUT for the army and refuge boxes though?

    Happy Sunday everyone x
Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

My daughter (who has seen the Avon lady this week) says that the order did arrive after all so she's going to have to return that one. I will order a brown from her though.

Haven't been on here for a few days and have just caught up - so pleased so many of you have found bits to send to Give and Make Up or are finding places locally you can donate too - this is what I love about the internet, someone I follow on twitter posted the link, I shared it here and now more people are sharing it and thanks for mcculloch29 for sending the label to people.

Having said I don't have a very big stash I have managed to get the following bits and pieces together - partly thanks to them accepting things that are lightly used.

Just put it all in a shoe box and checked weight and I'm sending off:

2 x S&G Daily Smooth - My OH doesn't like the smell of this but I've been trying to use them both anyway (one in the bathroom one in the bedroom) but my skins gone a bit spotty and patchy so back to righteous butter for me.
1 x S&G Endless glove pump of hand cream. Only tried it a couple of times and don't like the smell
(I'm usually an S&G addict but I'm happy to get of these bits I don't like!)
1 x Tresemme Instant refresh waterless shampoo - I bought this for camping, but it didn't do a lot for my hair and we had proper showers in the end so I could wash it normally!
    1 x thermal protector spray
2 x John Frieda Hair Spray - free with coupons at Boots I think or certainly very cheap, one used a couple of times, 1 never. I just never use hairspray.
    1 x Avon Clearskin blemish treatment - didn't realise I had this.
1 x mini bubble bath sachet in the shape of a duck - was in OH's Christmas stocking and he won't use it!
1 x sachet of Sanctuary Salt Scrub - got in a gift set last year and haven't used it, so much Flake Away to use! Won't miss it.
2 x box of veet waxing strips, buy these every now and again, use once, remember why I don't wax & then leave them in a drawer!, one normal, one face.

Wow 12 things, and this is someone who said they didn't really have a stash - oops!

I've not bought anything at all in February - I investigated the BS coupon and then thought I haven't bought anything there for ages and ages so I'm just getting it because it's a bargain so I didn't buy it - result!

    Mortgage as of 1st February 2024 - £159,134.98

I UU a botanics body scrub last night. WIBA?: Nope, it was too moisturiser like for me. I felt like I should be rubbing it in not washing it off!

Kaz both the room and your cat are gorgeous. I have a botanics body scrub like that, in a tub with a metal lid, I abandoned it but must am forcing myself to give it another go next week.

Went into Sainsbugs to get some Champneys stuff (lovely lavender pillow mist) and ....... Sainsbugs no longer stock Champneys!

I haven't tried any Champneys products yet but on reading your post thought I must try the pillow mist (I had a lovely healing garden one years ago)...shame it's discontinued. In the spirit of the challenge I had also resisted buying one of their citrus body scrubs that I read about on here...I would really have liked to try it.

Lyndsey sorry things have not improved for you.

we will be flying to tenerife the day it comes out so no idea if it will be on sale at the airport or how many different ones they will have ....I love moisture surge so hope they have that one,got loads of lippy and mascara so hope not them!
  • Can I ask how often you guys use a body scrub?

I have 3 unopened ones, plus one spluttering one. I'm not a fan of them, they were all either gifts or part of a set. Really want to use them up! I am only using them once a week at mo, on a Sunday. But wondered if I could use them 2/3 times a week to speed up getting through them?!

    Cheers

PRCP = Pink Rose Candle Philosophy - basically use the lovely stuff now, today, don't hesitate. Read Mc29's sig.

Erma Bombeck: "If I had my life to live over ..I would have burned the pink candle sculpted like a rose that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' or 'for a special occasion'. Every day is special. Cherish it and make it so.
:) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage
:cool2: Cherryprint: "More stuff = more stuff to tidy up!"
Less things. Less stuff. More life.

I wouldn't recommend too much body scrubbing, you only want to get rid of dead skin, not scrub so much that skin gets raw or sore. Once a week sounds about right, maybe more if you have dry/flaky skin. Body scrub is good to use the day before waxing or to get rid of fake tan.

Oh and I've bought no toiletries all weekend:A

I do it before shower and once dry slather on lots of body butter an old nightie and dressing gown then sit and watch tv before bedtime so hopefully the butter will sink into skin really well.I have psoriasis over most of my back and tops of legs so it is good to scrub the old skin off but agree once a week is about right.

We can't decide whether to go dancing or swimming tonight!DH said well now we have joined the social club maybe we should dance BUT I said well the pool membership is a lot more!!!Told him I need to know as not only will we eat earlier if we dance rather than after a swim but I will need to shower/wash hair/redo nails plus choose an outfit for dancing:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:(and we did go to a dance on friday!)
