Hi all, new stash-tragedy to report from a newbie... (true pink candle moment), just opened a tub with lush soaps and a shampoo bar (my favourite!) only to find out theres mould growing on them ... should i throw them away or would they be ok if I cut off the affected sides? Good lesson to self, as I was about to give in to 3 for 2 offers in Boots :(

Worst thing is, I've been putting off using the Lush shampoo until I finish a massive bottle of not very nice shampoo I got from TK maxx ages ago... (I took it as my penitence trying to use that one before moving on to something I DO like!).

Anyway, well done everyone for resisting, and I envy the purchases of those of you who've fallen off the wagon :p

Just a thought - should they have gone mouldy? Maybe you could email Lush? If they went mouldy in an airtight tub, that's a bit naff.

I would be a bit wary of using anything mouldy as inhaling mould spores isn't a good idea to say the least. The other thought is, is it mould, or is it just the chemicals /products leaching out of the soap/shampoo bar?

Thanks for the lovely comments on the room and my puss. We weren't ever getting a cat but I went to collect DD from school in the last week of summer term 2008. There was a mum there holding this teeny tiny kitten so I was chatting to her with DS (I was a little concerned about her having brought a kitten so wee to school. She explained that another mum had found her earlier in the day but couldn't find anyone who had a missing kitty. So she was taking her to the RSPCA but had been warned by the one holding her not to leave her in the car as it was too hot. Soooo, we came home with a kitten and I phoned DH who went mad. I just said look at her when you get home. So he peered down the back of the sofa and said well you'd better go and get it some toys and stuff then hadn't you? I had told the kids that we weren't definately keeping her unless DH was happy to. She's lush though and quite quite mad!

Lynseydee, hope you're OK? Sounds like you've had a day of it. I take it you and your OH haven't been able to work things out yet?
Tonight we have UU the raspberry alberto balsam shampoo. Green one removed from stash for next use.

Haven't been able to work things out at all. We did start going to counselling but then I found out something that made me think why were we bothering.

Anyway, things are quite amicable, well we're not talking to each other much, but better that always arguing with each other.

Just trying to make the best of a bad situation and do what's best for me, one of which should be to do more pampering :rotfl:

I received my Glamour magazine with the Clinique gift :j but got the mascara, which I don't need as I swapped 2 old mascaras at the Clinique mascara exchange at Debenhams last month.
Had hoped I'd get the mosituriser.

:TSorry to hear your news lynseydee, sounds like a spot of you time is a good idea :grouphug: sending loads of dodgy hugs to you
Kaz, your room is GORGEOUS! I want! :T
Well, I think I should have an escalator all to myself toninght :(

I went to BS to spend my voucher (knew I should have got 2...) and also went b**ts and fell for the 3 4 2 offers. Have picked up the No.7 tinted moisturiser for face. Has 5*UVA protection aswell as SPF15, need this as getting brown marks on my face due to sun damage (damn that beachut :) ) Felt nice when testing it, has anyone used this?

Can't believe sainsburys stopped stocking Champneys stuff - started to hyperventilate as sat here in my champneys clay mask (lush!) when I read that :eek: Will have to sweet talk my bff to going there again ;) xx
They have a table at one of them full of samples, you can sit on the couch and try them all and take them for overnight to try, it's toiletry heaven!! :T:T:T

  • Hi All,

I've got another UU to report BS Black Velvet Apricot Shimmer Lotion (125ml) - WNBA, (not overkeen on the smell - it was ok to begin with but didn't enjoy it too much towards the end of the bottle) Anyway I don't need anymore body lotions, body butters, hand creams or footcreams for that matter - still working my way through my stash.

Sorry to hear about your situation lyndseydee, hope you're doing okay

I think if Sainsburys have discontinued Champneys, then they are replacing it with some other spa's range (can't remember the name) but saw it was on special offer when I was ordering my shopping (didn't buy any! Just an OS lemon and tea tree shower gel on offer for 90p!)

1 UU today - Tigi love, peace. planet shampoo - lovely, but expensive, so I would maybe buy again if on offer

I've been planning on what to spend my groupon/bs voucher on - definitely going to buy a £20 gift set for my cousin, then I'm not sure whether I'm going to get tea tree face wash, spot stick and soap or a foundation brush - does anyone have any experience of BS brushes? Is it even worth it? I've used a sponge to apply before and didn't like the effect, so is a brush any better/different? It kills me to spend that much on a make up brush even if it is technically 'free'!!!

VALM - loving the sound of the OPI black shatter - I think Barry M do a similar one too, so might pick one or the other up!

Had a funny day at work today - the local football team's mascot popped in my shop and was just hilarious!! Got me a cuddle and a photo! LOL
