  • Have just put together my boxes for Give and Make Up. Thought it was a really worthwhile cause and seemed a good way to donate the products that are not my faves but will be good for someone else, so have put together the following:

Sanctuary bath float, body scrub, hand sugar scrub and body lotion
    Colgate toothpastes (22ml samples) x 6
BS and Boots Meditteranean soaps Next and 3 x Boots body lotions
    Boots facial wash
    Oilatum cream
Frizz ease, Umberto Gianni and Charles Worthington hair styling products
    SJP and Kate Moss perfumes
    Maybelline and Rimmel foundations
    Rimmel nail varnish
    Boots Chilli Pepper bath set
    Flannel
    Wet wipes

These are mostly minis but some are full size. do you think this is OK? Just wanted to check before I go to the PO.

    MM x

That's a nice collection that I am sure will be appreciated.
  • Muddled_midget, I think that sounds like a really lovely selection of goodies you have put together. :T I'm sure that every single thing that people send will be really appreciated.

I am still enjoying sorting things out to send (and using it as a general de-cluttering exercise too!). I have so far thrown away 5 dried up mascaras, and a dozen or so sample sachets that are very old/dried up/don't look right!

Right, off to do a bit more sorting out - I feel so much more motivated to do it now there is such a good cause involved. Thanks again everyone x

I haven't seen a points voucher in my Tote bag :(
Was it just lying in the box, or in bag itself under box? Not that I want to use it of course.!/QUOTE]

I may be mistaken and it might of been in the S & G Vanity Case?! Either way I got two of em so might have to use the other one to! :D

Just remembered need to declare a UU Toni and Guy volume conditioner WIBA - same as shampoo I love the smell of T&G but as my hair is long id didnt really volume but its nice and soft!

I am also working my way through the scrub your nose in it as a foot scrub due to the spot breakout it caused and this morning decided to use it on my legs - it was v tingly!

RE: the Give & Make up - is posting on Monday okay? I understand the last date for free postage is Tuesday 1st March? Just realised I've got a stash of Soft and Gentle deodorants I'm not going to use (cos I've gone off em! :o ) and a hairdye that belonged to my OH before he gave up and decided to go grey :rotfl:

Taking a quick look at the website, they'll take them - I assume it doesnt matter if its not a wide range, but several of the same items?

Right...I'm off to find who's got the link for the labels........! :D

Could you not buy the Clinique GWP and buy lots of Glamour magazines next week instead? :)

I have so far thrown away 5 dried up mascaras,

Don't throw out dried up mascaras, keep them for when Clinique do the mascara swop thing again:)

Where's Tara? Is this the week she was going on hols?

    Have a good weeked everyone,

  • Mags30 - I did think about keeping them for that, but they are VERY old and none of them are Clinique.

I did manage to do one of those swaps last year at Boots, but the woman was SO uphelpful and made me feel SO embarrassed about my old Avon mascara I was handing in! I thought I would just keep hold of the Clinique one I received that time (which is just about finished now), and use that next time, if I'm brave. :o

Thank you for the reminder about the mascara swap tho ... I'm sure some Clinique ladies are nicer than others, and don't make a person feel mortified about taking part in an offer that THEY are running! :)

    legs waxed today:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Got my full body wax done earlier in the week, paid £10 off KGB deals last month, never been professionally waxed before and no where near as bad as expected, maybe because I have been epilating most areas recently  The strangest part was having my eyebrows and top lip threaded - really weird, but good sensation, always wondered how they did this and so quick. Not sure if I will pay to be waxed again depends if any more deals come up. To be honest I dont have that much hair to wax, according to the beautician, considering I was told not to remove any hair until my appointment which was made almost 3 weeks prior.

I like the re-naming suggestions, lots of us fell of the wagon this month, me included, but not to a great extent moneywise.

Thanks for whoever originally posted re the Give and Make-up, intending to look out some stuff later on to send. I am wondering if I can actually drop the stuff off (it does say send/drop off) as I only live a couple of miles away from the Trafford Park address and think I may have quite a bit, has anyone done this? If not, I may ask for the labels from mcculloch. Does anyone know if its just the free postage that ends on 1st March or the collections as a whole?

I resisted the Goupon BS vouchers (rarely spend money on BS), also resisted the Lloyds so far, though I do have a shop 2 mins walk away at work which is taking all my willpower to resist, hopefully if I do secumb there wont me much left.

Did want to try the Tesco 21p wipes, but my store was all sold out - would have bought a pack to try if they had them. Down to my last couple of packs of face wipes, never thought my stash would get so low as had a drawer full at one point

Had 2 £5 Boots mocs that I resisted using before 22nd, did look but nothing that really appealed to me - they have limited it so much what you can use them on now and not willing to pay the expensive prices for stuff I dont really need. In the old days I would have used them on the cheaper/free items, which is why my stash is so bad!!!

I did get some of the 25% off deodrants/shower gels mocs the other day in boots but so far have resisted, but mainly as I am trying to get the best out of them:o Bought 2 items from Boots on the same shop, a Miss Manicure nail buffer (60p) and a Ted Baker invigorating sugar scrub (£1.60) paid for both with my points. I am keeping the buffer myself, but scrub is to give to DD so I dont class as an in as not adding to my stash.

Also tempted in Wilko's with the 10p stuff, bought 3 items, aftershave balm, which is to go to DS, magic mitt to try on my newly waxed bits when the regrowth starts and a body spray - so 30p spend.

One last in was a bottle of my HG mouthwash Dentyl the blue more expensive one, which was £2.12 in Tesco as it was 1/2 price.

I also bought a deal for a fish pedicure - not sure if that counts as an in as nothing added to my stash - have always wanted to try this.

A few UU's DS finished a toothpaste, only a couple in the stash so may need to buy him more toothpaste soon. Dove showergel, WIBA - yes if my stash ever gets low and its on offer - but can resist for now as have a box of showergels still to use up. A few samples which I am slowly working my way though, nothing that I would actually buy.

Couple of uu for me today, Boots lemon body wash, this is from their old style range, oddly it didn't smell of lemon at all but geranium which was fine with me as I love that smell, wba but not for a long while. Also travel sized Crabtree & Evelyn La source body lotion, wiba? yes this is my HG light formula lotion, but I have a full size one already.

Been to boots today, didn't buy anything, was hard though, I can resist the 3 for 2 offers its the bl**dy £5 No 7 vouchers which are killing me, I use lots from this range and have lots in the stash but it's a good saving. Went to Wilkinsons then and they were doing the garnier 2 in 1 eye roll on for £5.97 ish so got one of them, tried it and it conceals really well, also they had Dove silk body creme in big pots for £1.47, normally £4.75 or something, got 2:eek:
