[toiletries arent rare or hard to get hold of and there's also lots of offers all year round

Thanks to PudseyDB for this pearl of wisdom...(quote thingy didn't work how I thought it would)

So true, must remember this next time I see a seemingly good offer.
  • Hello,

Just remembered 2 UUs today: mouthwash and Neal's yard rose oil (ended up giving in and using it as a body oil but my skin has been really itchy all evening - oops!).

One IN: my Glamour mag arrived today...alongside freebie of Take the day off eye make up remover - woop! I'm intending to go any buy the copies with the facial soap and both moisturisers once the copies hit the newstands - also tempted by the face scrub but think 4 copies of Glamour is enough! Thinking of dropping the actual mags into the doctor's surgery to hide the evidence! :D

    Hello Marie

Excellent choice of quotes and a very timely reminder to us all as we approach the milestone of the March challenge....although I really think there could be a few new suggestions for renaming the thread for March....!!

'Not buying as much in March as Feb'
'Not posting links to bargains in march'
'No saying how fab our products are in March'
'No straying to the grabbit board in March'
And of course the amendments to the PRCP - use it or you may not like it when you get to it....

Any other suggestions for re-naming....?? :T

I think you may be a good influence on us so please keep on board and posting!!
Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!
  • A UU for my major splutterer at last - James Brown London Intensive Mask For Hair (I was like this :j and singing a version of 'Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead' in the shower!). WIBA? Possibly, it smelt very nice but I'm not exactly sure it really did anything.

I have also tried my Boots Ingredients Honey & Jojoba Hair Mask and didn't think the texture was particularly good - I felt like it was a bit sloppy. This may be because it is about a year old and has gone funky but also just because I don't like it, so I'm dithering over whether to throw it out or stick it in my Give and Make Up parcel in case it's just me, although I don't want to give them a rubbish product...

I can also say no when something is readily available then the minute it's sold out or not on offer I decide I desperately needed it. This was the case with the big pink S&G tote bag at Christmas...(yes I got one in the end and love it) :)

I'm like that, which is why I am a sucker for anything marked as limited edition or discontinued. Make it rare and I will want it!

Actually as hard as it may seem maybe we should have a rule of no links to tempting offers - I mean most of em will be over on the Grabbit Board. This is supposed to be our haven :A

Thanks Julie, and to PudseyDB for the original post.

REALLY not sure about my being a good influence though!:rotfl:I do intend to keep on track for March though, that is once multiple purchases of a certain magazine don't count.:rotfl:

    Evening all...

    H ope you're all well....

Having a bit of a mare at the minute, household appliances are breaking down (think this is cos we've had em yonks and we're all at home at the min) had to dash out and buy a new microwave this afternoon before we could feed the new addition!! This is after buying a new camera and a new dishwasher :eek: Wonder whats next?

No UU for me, although I need to go 'shopping' in my stash for a new body scrub, ready for my pampering tomorrow....

I can do a box for the refuge as well, i'll email for a label, but if it doesn't come through i'll pm for one if thats ok? I'll put some baby stuff in that i've had bought in gift sets that I wont use, that would be ok wouldn't it? And i can find plenty in my stash to part with :D:D:D

  • My Clairol foam party hair dye arrived in the post today, plus two vouchers for freebies. I will give my sister one of these but might keep the other one for me. I also bought a John Frieda hair dye foam yesterday as it was on offer in Sainsbury's and I had a £2.50 voucher to use up before 28 Feb. I also have to confess to buying 2 perfume samples for 99 p in a Knights Chemist - one of these will become an immediate out though as I am going to give one of them to my friend.
