Well, went to the DEntist today, went in Boots and LLoyds Pharmacy and...bought NOTHING!:j Hardly anything in the buy 1 get 2 free deal so that was good! I did buy a new bag and nightie, though I don't think I need to 'fess up to that on here! I really need to be a saint and not waste any money next month as I need (want) £450 worth of treatment. So no buying toiletries, books, magazines, takeaway coffee, lunch out, clothes, shoes, bags, accessories, expensive food, or gambling next month! Basically, no fun  I suppose I could cut down on smoking too, but then it would be a BAD BAD BAD month...I need one pleasure!

To those who are worrying about what to send to Give and Makeup...I think Juliebunny got it spot on...even if you send one thing, it's going to appreciated no matter what, no need to feel bad about it :)

Two INs courtesy of my Mum yesterday after Dad bought her the wrong stuff and she's palmed it off on me: Simple Pore Minimising Toning Cleanser x2. Not bought anything personally for a while now on the toiletries front, just the usual time of the month stuff (and Feminax) today but can't help those spends!
ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)
  • Oh my goodness...

I have been sent here by my mum! She's challenged me to join in for March - after just moving house with help from the parents, I've been declared a hoarder and keeper of far too much rubbish... they're probably right...

I will do my best to UU! and not buy any more toiletries... but they look so pretty.....!
  • Well my Lloyds Pharmacy online shopping has gone to pot - keep getting an error message :( well maybe that's not a bad thing :o

Anyway hopefully will UU the Cherry Liqueor Body Butter tonight-Next don't make the best toiletries IMHO

My Sure deodorant is definately on the way out too - just wait till the Lloyds Pharmacy (ok...I did more than 1) delivery comes:j I'll be on the esculator to Hell :rotfl:
Don't walk behind me; I may not lead. Don't walk in front of me; I may not follow. Just walk beside me and be my friend...

Move over on the naughty step ;) I ended up buying 2 x Groupon offers for BS but decided that it was a pretty good deal. By the time you took off the cashback, LYB card, I eneded up getting £30 for just under £6 :j Now I have to work out spending it get the best deal :rotfl:I don't need anything though.

Thanks for posting about the boxes, I have received my label and plan to make up at least one box of goodies.

I have 1 IN the Foam Party hair dye but need to get mine cut first :)

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Hello, good evening and it's the weekend, yay!

    Lots of use ups:
Clarins hand cream - wiba no - on price. Lovely stuff. It was a gift with purchase one. Will look out for it in future gifts.

Clarins firming day cream - wiba no - on price. But if in a GWP yes please. I may, at a push, and if stash is really low buy it in one of those gift sets (they do for Mothers Day etc).

    Ins (planned):
Liz Earle eye serum - use this at night. Ran out ages ago.
Dermologica daily exfoliant - use this every day. Its a powder you make into a paste, lasts ages. Its pricey stuff but love it.

    Wasn't tempted:
Look at the offers in Superdrug today and was good and didnt get anything. Need to update the stash list.
:) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Less things. Less stuff. More life.

    :)
Well thanks for the Give and Make Up link ladies, have just sorted out a parcel that is about 2kg of things that i would be happy to give people but not my favourites - I feel so virtuous and it has given me much more pleasure than forcing myself to use stuff up!! Plus I now don't feel at all bad about the BS voucher - in fact i don't really have much of a stash, just a couple of extra things, wll carry on using up before I buy more though!

Have posted the link on facebook so hopefully some of my friends will make a parcel too.

    I feel good :D

Ah this is lovely.:T Actually I was thinking that my stash isn't going to be that bad at all as well once I've pulled out my parcel bits - feels a relief to be getting ridding of them, where I didn't feel able to chuck them away because I'm trying not to be wasteful. Now I'm getting into the swing of it I actually realise how many of my products I would happily get rid off.....it's been eye opeing...

I have a tall cabinet in my bathroom (4 shelves) where I keep all my toiletries 'for use next' or 'to be used up' - as you sit on the loo you can open the door and browse through/sort it out, so I've been multi-tasking tonight - sorry is this TMI :rotfl:- can't wait to get my lovely BS stuff in their instead of all the toot I don't need or appreciate!

:grouphug: Ah thanks (embarrased but along with everyone else on here feeling warm and fuzzy)...

I am totally on board with you for March frugalities. I want to have some money left at the end of March. The buying stuff has to stop. I told someone at work today to take the Daily mail away from me because I was just about to cut a buy some homey magazine for a pound out of it. He enforced this even when I begged for it back!

I want to learn to appreicate what I have without forever looking for something better. Well, I mean I can look - but have to learn not to buy. Luckily I'm immune to QVC (stop posting links - I am compelled to click them!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:) so far as I think their charges are too high and I have problems getting packages at home so am more a store shopper.

If you could give up smoking that would be the most amazing thing...not going to nag, I know that doesn't work...but imagine each packet of ciggies as a toiletries/clothes item of that price :D

Oh that is so true about Next toiletries - they are soooo boring and nothingy. Except I like their perfumes. I have 2 Next mini items straight in my OUT donation pile.
Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!

  • Hey all

2 UU's for me this week - more travel shower gel! Slowly working through the pile :rotfl:

2 intentional INs this week - 2 x tesco toothpaste, I was at the end of my current tube so now have one in use and one spare.

One unintentional IN this week. A friend came to stay for few days and has left an almost full bottle of Alberto Balsalm Raspberry shampoo here as she had no space left in her bag! :) A free IN that will get used eventually so not too bad.

I do need hair dye but that is an essential not a luxury in my eyes so it's allowed!
