I haven't bought anything this month, I am planning on doing the same next month.

I am so proud of you all who have given some of your toiletries to Give & Make up. I am thinking of doing the same but planning on only giving away hotel freebies. Do you think they would accept that?

I forgot to say that from today until the 12th March Aveda is giving away a 3 step trial of your perfect haircare solution (You get a 30 ml schampoo, 30 ml conditioner and a 15 ml treatment mask). Choose from Be curly, Brilliant, Color Conserve, Damage Remedy, Dry Remedy, Pure Abundance, Scalp benefits and smooth infusion. Visit aveda.co.uk/stores for more info.

I am planning to do this during my lunch break on Monday.

Not been on the thread for a few days and its just taken all morning just to catch up, this must be the busiest thread on MSE.

I know what you mean - I have to check in at least once a day to keep up!

Also tempted in Wilko's with the 10p stuff, bought 3 items, aftershave balm, which is to go to DS, magic mitt to try on my newly waxed bits when the regrowth starts and a body spray - so 30p spend.

10p??????????:eek::eek: How come no one told me about this????????

Just nipping in to report some use ups
    No7 glossy locks spray-
    ellnette mini spray
    sleek cosmetics rose gold blusher
    clinique eye defining eyeliner

The eyeliner is getting replaced today as this is my HG product for lining my eyes. It's the last day of bonus time today at debenhams so have persuaded hubby to treat me to eyeliner and another product to qualify for the free gwp as I would like to try out some more products.I am quite impressed with clinique so will look out for the glamour mag offer too.

Have resisted the body shop offer, nails inc and also boots this week so will reward myself with a creme egg :-)

Luckily I'm immune to QVC (stop posting links - I am compelled to click them!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)

erm....*hangs head in shame* sorry that would be me:o. Should know better as I would have had nil spend this month if I had not "seen" the bliss offer and been so tempted.

    Hello Marie

Excellent choice of quotes and a very timely reminder to us all as we approach the milestone of the March challenge....although I really think there could be a few new suggestions for renaming the thread for March....!!

'Not buying as much in March as Feb'
'Not posting links to bargains in march'
'No saying how fab our products are in March'
'No straying to the grabbit board in March'
And of course the amendments to the PRCP - use it or you may not like it when you get to it....

Any other suggestions for re-naming....?? :T

I think you may be a good influence on us so please keep on board and posting!!

    great post julie!

Well done sonee2405 :T:T and enjoy the cream egg :rotfl::rotfl:

I have had a very leisurely day today and it has been lovely. I am attempting not to spend any money this weekend and have decided it is not safe for me to leave my flat. It is giving me the perfect opportunity to do some nice wee jobs about the house (I am ignoring the pile of washing that needs done too) and I am concentrating on putting together my box for Give and Make up. I will post what I decide a little later.

Also not long out of the shower and have UU Johnsons Shower and shave lotion. I only have another 2 left in my stash as I bulk bought this when it turned up at the pound shop a couple of years ago. I am trying to power through it as the consistency has changed slightly and I am worried about it going off. So one has been put into my shower caddy.

After having washed my hair this afternoon I got the following UU's to report.
*Origins Modern Friction facial scrub, this is a fabolous scrub might become my HG once I have used up the 2 other facial scrubs I currently got. Now using Clarins Gentle exfoliating refiner.
    * Also, used up Aussie's 3 minute miracle colour deep treatment, this is a great product too.
    * Also, used up a sample size of shower gel from a hotel, got another 3 to use up.

That's another £3 in my pot!

    Have a nice weekend

I bought some OPI lacquers this week but they are a gift for my daughter and I definitely won't use them - they are new Katy Perry colours and the Black Shatter top coat (I did try this on and it's amazing how it works but looks a little goth for my liking). These don't count as "ins" do they?

My Avon brocure has arrived though and I like one of the lacquers in there (a grey colour - I don't own any greys) and my brown mascara is spluttering I think cos it's making that sucking popping noise when I pull the wand out.

If I did order the above I would not pay for them until 4 March so technically not another spend in Feb! That means that unless I buy anything between now and Monday the only purchases I will have made this month are the goodies I bought for my birthday.

I have been good and avoided both the Groupon BS voucher and L'Occitane TSV (not difficult that one as the products are mostly rose scented and anything with rose extract in makes me itch - not worth taking the chance of ordering).
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

The woman who runs Give and Make Up has contacts at local refuges across the country, I believe. I know we have a couple locally, so I will contact her sometime to find out what they might appreciate.
Thank you to everyone who asked for a label - keep asking if you haven't yet. I forgot to mention (senior moment) that the boxes should have FAO Ailsa Illingworth on them - but I'm sure they will work out what's what when they open them.
Has anyone ever used BeautyBay? I hesitate to say it, but they don't look cheap - have never heard of most of the brands on there - or recognise them as being very upper end of the market.
