Ooh, could just have a slice of that jam rolypoly! I would be happy with that, at least it looks home made!

    Evening all

Not much OS going on here - didn't get too good a night's sleep so took a while to get going this morning. Work was really manic, the usual Monday business along with the school photographer! Took some of the children for after school games and that was good fun, they were so well behaved too.

Just off for my YS stir fry with some of my rubber chicken and then a nice warm bath as it is freezing here. Very windy and quite wet, just the night to cosy up by the fire.

Hope all your problems are reducing, take care. XX

Add me to this gang too!!

I was on a course today - Food Hygiene. It was a little boring in parts but was pretty simple. I got 100% in the test at the end :D. Oddly I was absolutely starving all the way through it :rotfl: the trainer said this is normal!

My letting agent rung to say the plumber is now not coming til Friday  (meant to be coming tomorrow). They can go jump if they think I'm not using the shower til then! I've taped up a couple of binbags around the area where the water is going behind tiles, and it was dry after a shower last night so should be ok. The LA will be here whilst the plumber is here cos I'm in work, and refusing to be here after last time.

OS wise - not much :o DW will go on overnight. Dinner will be out of freezer. Oh I did slice up my HM bread and freeze it earlier.

I'm a bit :( cos I probably won't be able to see date boy til the weekend due to his silly shifts. He is on evenings or nights all week bar Weds, and I have plans on Weds with friends. Boo.

    Have a good evening all

    I'm so tired
I just got in, finished uni at 5 but had to go sort out my place for next year, all done and it's smaller, but i have GCH, a lock on my door and my very own sink :j they moan at my friend when he doesn't rinse the bath after his shower and they have grit for when it's icy. All this sensible clean goodness makes me so happy :o

I forgot lunch so I'm absolutely starving and waiting for the rice and mung beans to boil to go with the LO curry- if only it would cook faster!

halight, but then i have to pay for a meal! I will give it a try next time I go to one though, if I can resist polishing off however many dozens of roast potatoes I might pile on the plate :rotfl:

BargainBird, being a Norn Iron lass, I have never actually seen jam roly poly. I looked at your pic and thought, MMMMMMMM that looks delicious, no wonder all the English love it. Then I looked at what you wrote underneath and burst out laughing!!!!!!!

Evening all! can't believe how late it is! Worked a full day today, walked pup when i got in.

WM is on, curry is simmering - smells lovely. I have also made tomorrow's lunches, cleaned the bathroom and framed some photos and put them up around the house (i'm trying to make it a home :) )

Finally got my p45, i was on emergency tax at my last place so should get a teeny tiny rebate with any luck.

I'm going out for dinner and lunch on Weds, dinner will be in town so we'll go for a 241 or 50% off deal. Lunch is at local pub so will opt for a soup or jacket potato, what ever is cheap to keep costs down! My social day for February :) I don't tend to go out much so it will be nice to see 3 friends in one day.

OH is on his way home so night infront of the telly once dinner is finished

Lovin the jam very roly poly!

loooooooooooooooong day at work. POS change (point of sale) so spent the last hour at work getting static electricity shocks and up step ladders. not very management-esque.

looking forward to my day off on Thursday... but then its working all the way through until next wednesday... ARGHHH!

A*da home delivery on the way, £3 delivery charge, cheaper than driving! payday so paid a few bills, organised spends diary and got receipts for all today

had reminder letter for holiday balance payment which is due on the 8th. Gulp. ebaying like mad to pay for it, (last time we raised over 2k to pay for our hols in 2009!)

DH off today so he has made HM chicken and broc soup for lunches, done the errands to various places i left him and just about to dish up lamb stew and veg, nom nom nom!

Sold a blackberry to an 80 year VERY switched on lady today, away with it instantly she was! never fails to amaze me.

Hugs to all who need them, and lots of OS thoughts out to all of you! x

  • Good evening all,
woke up this morning freeeeezing cold!! Minus eight out and unable to put the heating on due to the leaky pipe :-(. Took the morning off work to let the plumber in and they arrived about 10.30 am - two nice young men!! ;-) They were literally here 5 minutes, all that was wrong was the valve on that attatches the radiator to the pipe had come loose, so the plumber tightened it and that was that!! Feel a bit silly, as really I shouldve been able to figure that out for myself!!
At least I didn't have to pay, as I'm in a rented flat so all plumbing problems are paid for by the landlord. He also said it had happened before with that radiator. Though I didn't tell him about the dancing.... Just that I'd knocked into it!! Lol.
So then I went to work, rather begrudgingly as i was engrossed in wife swap: USA before the plumbers arrived :-(
busy day at work, but was nice to come home to a nice warm flat, as I'm having to leave the heating on now to try and dry out the carpet.
Had two HUGE grilled pork chops for tea, with veg and yummy thick gravy. Mmm
now an evening of relaxing and thinking about doing the accumulated pile of washing up, due to having no water yesterday. Hope everyones had a nice day, and wishing everyone a pleasent evening.
1st of feb tomorrow, spring shall soon be upon us!! :-)
