Oh, where's my motivation gone!!! I was in the middle of a whirlwind of cleaning, had to bring something into the office to put away, saw the computer and ended up reading this thread. Now I suddenly feel quite tired and need to sit down for a while!!!
DH is not at work today, he cant do the job he was booked in for because its too frosty so another days pay lost. Best not think about that too closely. Still, he has taken DS off my hands for a couple of hours while he goes to get some decorating stuff so that he can finish the lounge which we started before Christmas.
I have actually achieved quite a lot this morning, been for a run, done 2 loads of washing and hung them out, hoovered most of the house and blitzed the kitchen worktops. According to my own flylady plan I am supposed to be doing room, hall and stairs today but not got very far on that so need to get moving before DS2 comes home.
HM pizza for tea so need to dig the breadmaker out - right - back to it - hope everyone enjoys the rest of their Monday.0 -

Afternoon all! Haven't been here for a while, been in bed with the flu, and most unpleasant it was! Feeling a bit better today, so have blitzed the kitchen and sorted out the ironing mountain- if I see another white shirt this week I may cry!!!
Bought a new loo seat but can't get the old ones bolts loose, so thats a job for himself when he gets home from work, that'll put a smile on his face, not!;)
Oh well, off to raid fridge for veggies to go with the LO piri piri chicken!RIP Iain

Afternoon.
Didn't post the last few days as was back working. 3 days off now so plan is to tidy, do a meal plan and food shopping.
DD (9) got a greenhouse for Christmas and has planted tomatoes and sweetcorn. She still has carrotts, lettuce and potatoes to plant. She is really looking forward to seeing them grow then picking them for us to eat. Really trying to get her and DS into an old style way of living. We also try to discuss money with them and how savings are important. We really want the kids to learn from mistakes we have made in the past. Whilst we are lucky to both have okay paid jobs and are comfortable it hasn't always been that way. So any tips and receipes I pick up here are currently going into a great journal I picked up last year so I can pass this on when the time comes.

Hi Everybody
I am having a nice Monday off-the first for a long time. (OH doesn't work Mondays). We had a chat with our daughter and her husband who live in Japan. She didn't receive the last parcel (her birthday present and some chocolate bars) !! Rushed out and rebought to send off again. We did some food shopping.
Had had a nice lunch in a pub with an open fire and came home to a £25 present from Ernie! Then I got online to get a cheaper house and contents insurance quote-result! Saved nearly £200. I do love this site!
OH is now haggling with Sky.......fingers crossed!
Hester congrats on the birth of Maggie.
Have a good evening everyone.

First day of the new job today. Thank you for your messages of good luck on here and FB it went really well. A lot of information to take on board but im sure it'll be second nature before long.
Gonna need to re-adjust my cleaning rota again! I planned (rough draft for test run) and no its not gonna work without running myself into the ground and skipping lots of corners. and then its dinner so...weekly flylady for me and back to the beginning!!
On a brighter note many thanks for the FB adds so strange to see faces and now i have two names to remember for everyone...i struggled with 1 :rotfl: I'll get there.

It really winds me up people like that in care homes? Why do people go into that line of work if they dont care about the folk that are ment to be looking after.??
Iv looked into going to work with adults who have more needs than most. Adults who have had brain injuerys (vested intrest) Also adults who have lerning problem. Iv even gone as far to have had an intervire. BVut iv never really gone out of my to get a job going that sort of thing. Even know i really would like to do it. One day maybe.
Dont have a clue why iv just writen all that im rambering now.

Morning all, so jealous of all your sunday roast leftoversJust sitting in bed trying to warm up before I get up and get ready for my first lecture of the semester at 10am! I'm sure two of my house mates should be leaving for Uni in ~10 minutes but haven't heard anything from them yet. I'm in until 5pm, then going to sort out my accomodation for next year.
Lunch will be avocado sandwiches thanks to the pile of avocados in the fridge! ~20 for £1! Dinner will be LO veg curry w/mung beans and brown rice. Yummy!
Bit of a tip if you wont sunday leftovers but dont wont to cook the dinner. Go out and have a carvey at a pub. Put plenty on your plate. What you dont eat ask them tp bag it up for you. Most will do this.:j:j

Give it a go:j:j:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0
