Hard frost here and heating is on - I am dreading the bill. :(

Still screaming at DS to get up, he will be late at this rate.

Haven't had brekkie yet, I will have that when DS has finally left for school, so that I have a bit of peace and quiet.

Not much planned today apart from a continuation of the washing mountain from yesterday - it has gone down to a hill today :)

Didn't lose anything this week but then I did have a blow out last week and I haven't put anything on so that is a bonus.

I hope the meetings ref your dad go well today redruby ((((Hugs))))

Yaaaaaaaa DS has just left the building I am off for some bacon and eggs

    Have Good days all x

Morning all, so jealous of all your sunday roast leftovers :p Just sitting in bed trying to warm up before I get up and get ready for my first lecture of the semester at 10am! I'm sure two of my house mates should be leaving for Uni in ~10 minutes but haven't heard anything from them yet. I'm in until 5pm, then going to sort out my accomodation for next year.
Lunch will be avocado sandwiches thanks to the pile of avocados in the fridge! ~20 for £1! Dinner will be LO veg curry w/mung beans and brown rice. Yummy!

    Morning All,

Hester the pics were lovely. Your DD is obviously a hard worker like her mum.
Redruby Good luck with the docs today
Butterfly Brain I know exactly what you mean. DS2 is 21 and works for his dad. We still have to get him up every morning. It drives us both mad:mad: I have no idea how he would manage if he ever moves out
    Beemuzed How organised are you:T
I too am glad its the last day of January. We have had a terrible start to the year with a broken DW and 2 cars not working. Plus I hate the dark dreary days. I will be glad to turn the calendar over tomorrow. I know February is not a huge improvement but its a month nearer spring and its my birthday:)

Seriously need to find a way of making some extra money from home. Need to think of something else to sell in my ebay shop and put things on a more professional level. Will do some research today.

Busy week this week with family visits and babysitting duties.

OS wise tonights tea will be a roast pork dinner with leftovers made into some kind of stew for Tuesday. I also have chicken leftovers to use in a pie and need to make some biscuits for the tin, I have had a request for Ginger ones Yum!

Have a good day people. Hugs to those who need them J x

Me too. Life time membership me :D

    Morning everyone :D

Gorgeous blue sky and sunshine here with a VERY heavy frost brrrrr. Just dropped DD off at pre school so I am heading off to do the weekly shop. Wonder how much prices have shot up by this week
Got one load in WM will hang that up when I get back and then need to start some dusting. Going to try and stick to a Flylady type list each week to stay on top of everything. I always somehow manage to get distracted.......:o

Redruby - Hope meeting with your dad's Dr goes OK

Nic1 - Haven't seen you post for a few days, hope you're doing ok x

OK had better get a move on before Mr S gets packed.
Hugs, spoons and high fives all round. Have a good day OS or not.

    Morning All,
    HH GD is gorgeous.
RR hope today goes well re your dad.
Moliere Nice to "see" you, & I owe you a thanks as I posted for an oven chip method & was given one that originated from you

DS off to school :T just a few grunts before leaving, but he did shout "love you" through the letterbox as he left :) DP says this is still not enough to make up for the upset he has caused lately, but it gives me hope that things are going to improve.
DP is off to sign up with a different agency today, it's a bit further afield and we could really do without having to put extra diesel in the car but needs must, we counted up the penny jar last night £23 so he's off to change that up at the post office & that will go in the car:cool:
Young pup was running around like a mad thing this morning, couldn't work out what was bothering her until I opened the kitchen door, she went straight for the worktop where the slowcooker had been on all night making chicken stock :rotfl::rotfl:so I gave her a ladleful with some biscuits & she's now snoozling away on the sofa next to me.
WM is on & will hopefully be line drying today, once DP is off I shall be attempting to make myself presentable as I have appt at the hospital eye clinic today:(
Have put birdie treats out & the cat is now sitting on the windowsill "calling" the birds :)
Dinner tonight hm beef casserole from the freezer with jacket pots (done yday) & green beans.

Hope everybody has a good day x
    Hugs, spoons & hi5's as required x

It's only a bargain if you were going to buy it anyway!
  • I feel like I also am a founder member of The Forth Bridge Gang. Mount Washmore has risen once again and the kitchen & dining room look like a bomb site. They looked presentable yesterday morning - now CHAOS! So I had better get on WM, then DW & wash up anything that can't go in there;)
I shall poach a couple of eggs first to have with fried lo potatoes:) DGDs both fed & watered:)
    Happy Monday, Silver x

Have cleared kitchen, WM on again DW finished emptied and part re-loaded, Hae just made Jam Roly-Poly 1st ever attempt, need to make biscuits i was thinking ginger too, but looking around you don't get as many as twinks and as tight as i am think i might just add ground ginger to twinks ;). CBA's to do toddlers this morning :o.

Need to sort freezer/cupboard/fridge to see if i can do a REALLY cheap shop this week :o.

HH - Childbirth is the only excuse i have to have a proper rest :D.

  • Good Morning all,no rain but a bit cloudy at the moment .Well last day of the month thank good ness.I have got £31.00 to put into my building society book for my 2011 Christmas fund.I have a small account with a tiny building society which is awkward to get to so if I stick it in there it won't be 'borrowed from during the year. Its where I put odd bits of cash that I build up throughout the year from
    a.left over change
b.bits I have found in the street
    c. dug out from the back of the sofa
Its amazing how it all adds up over the year.So tomorrow I will start again on the 'Sistercas £1.00 a day for Christmas save'. My little account has around £165.00 in there at the moment so with todays £31.00 plus I will top it up with a few quid today from my left over Food purse money I will have £200.00 already tucked away towards next Christmas.I really haven't missed a pound a day over the past month so I'm very pleased.Once its in the account it will stay there until December.(I get a not bad rate of interest as well from it.)
This afternoon I am taking DD to yet another interview so fingers crossed she may get lucky.Tonight I'm off to Uni ,and having finished my essay I am feeling quite virtuous at the moment .
Hope everyone has a good week and thank goodness we are nearly into February and the spring will soon be here
    Cheers JackieO xx
