Bargainbird maybe try cutting circles out with a scone cutter/glass then serve with some cream. Seen some right disasters in catering kitchens 'prettyfied' in a similar way. Left overs would make a scrummy trifle.

Right, decided to have a pop in here daily again like I used to. Well most days. Keep me on track and having inspiration from other OSers.....so.....I'm back :D

FREEZING cold here, not defrosting as quick as the last 2 days either. Need to do a meal plan today, in fact something for dinner first would be a great start so I shall pop off now and consult with Freddy the fridge freezer and Polly the cupboard *DP insists she isn't a pantry*

Hope you all have a nice day
One day I might be more organised...........

Have leftover lamb for dinner and that reminds me - need to meal plan for the week as well.

Ditto! Except the lamb is only for DH. I don't eat meat so absolutely no idea what we're going to have tonight. Must sort out a meal plan tonight, stocked up in Morrisons yesterday. Really must start to meal plan before going shopping! :o

    Hello all,
bit of a lurker, but wanted to pop in and say a Big Thankyou to the OS'er who a few weeks ago sugested popping a spoonful of Chili Jam into gravy to liven it up. I tried a spoonful in the stock for my Blind Scouse last night, and it was absoutley gorgeous!! So thankyou very much!

    Welcome kittypimms! :hello:

I hope everyone is having a good day. :A

  • Hello

very cold and icy here too, can't wait for spring and longer
    days.

Hester Maggie is beautiful :) don't know where your DD
is getting all her energy from, it was all I could do to look
after the baby when I had my two!!

Dinner tonight is lo chicken, bubble n squeak n baked beans
    with lo jam rolly polly.

Thanks for all the adds on Facebook :) but think I need to write
a list of every bodies real names and their names on here as I have
a memory like a sieve these days :rotfl:

Hope everyone has a good Monday

    hugs xx
  • Hester - congrats on the arrival of little Maggie! :j
  • Hello all!
Well I am pleased to report that I'm much better! :D
I went to Slimming World this morning & had lost 3lbs as well. So got my half stone award. A bit of a cheat this week though as I've not eaten much.
Been to greengrocers (not cheaper than the supermarket though) & to Asda so I am generally stocked up for the week. Will been milk/bread/bananas through the week though.
DH going away again tomorrow. Think he'll be back on Saturday. Then hopefully he'll be around for a while. He's travelled for 3 weeks in a row.
Need to do some swishing, will get on with proper housework tomorrow when I'm on for the day.
    Love (((hugs))) & Spoons

    Lisa x
