Hi Alli :-) You're on holiday so I'm glad you're not being too strict with yourself. If you can't let yourself have the odd hot chocolate after skiing then when can you!
The weight vest isnt coming out on walks at the moment. I think that would just be too much - and anyway we're walking during the day and the vest looks like a suicide bombers vest, so outdoors i tend to only wear it when walking at night when people cant see me!!! I've set an indoor challenge in my head to do through March and it will be geting worn a lot then, it's the same challenge that i attempted in January but failed after a just few days (climbing mount everest but without leaving the house!)
Fred :-) can you add a 9lb loss to England team's scores please for this week
This puts me back down to 25st 8lbs - which is the lowest ive been in recent years and just 8 lbs away from getting a £500 cheque off my Dad! Next weeks target is therefore 8lbs!!!
Thanks Puddings yeah I was not strict but the voice in my head kept screaming at me " WHAT ARE YOU DOING EATING THAT RUBBISH!!!!" But I had to let go a little
Your comment about suicide bombers made me giggle :rotfl: But I still think I want to get one of those for myself and will look into it again.
So how many steps do you have to climb to manage Everest? I fancy joining you on that challenge if I may
And I must say that is an amazing loss well done you :T:T:TRestarting C25K in 2014 - Week 8 - 1/3 completed

I am reporting a 1LB Loss Thanks Fred :A
I have to say I am really happy with that as I thought from the rubbish I had eaten that it was going to be a gain and I would have been over the moon with a STS :rotfl:
Eric - Sorry you are still not feeling very well I hope you get to the bottom of the problem soon
BrightonBelle - It is a shame that the personal shopper didn't work out. It sounded like the ideal answer to your plan so I hope you manage to find what you need.
Betty - I hope you manage to sort your head out soon, I am sure you can see where you are going wrong. And do I need to still pester you about Davina ?? I think I am going to dust her off tomorrow myself
Victory - safe journey tomorrow and keep thinking positive/ Happy things about your Mum. You have many small steps to take and I think you need to get this out of the way before you can start taking them. Don't let your brother and other siblings push you around in so far as the plaque is concerned. If that is what you want to do then I would say do it. Take care of yourself xRestarting C25K in 2014 - Week 8 - 1/3 completed

Definitely glad I'm not anywhere near Lancashire this evening! I hear there's a large gap in the ozone layer just over Blackburn tonight...
Betty, I hope you settle into a way of eating that suits you and your lifestyle better. I think just adopting healthy eating principles, exercising more, and enjoying doing so is key. You're right that SW gives us so many good eating habits anyway, and I'd say that the best way to adapt from that would be to keep an eye on your portion sizes initially. Maybe use a smaller dinner plate, which his what I'm doing this week to help things along. You already know what is good/bad for you, and what needs to be seen as an occasional treat. What exercise are you planning to incorporate, will it be a mixture?
Victory - have a safe journey tomorrow, and I hope the service proves to be a celebration, and full of happy memories for you and your family. There will only be this occasion to mark her passing, and as hard as it is to find the money, there will be all the years ahead to have summer holidays. Take care, and try not to be too overwhelmed by it all, as you'll want to look back in years to come on this day when you said your goodbye with some clarity.
Alliwant - your holiday sounds fab. Glad you had a great time.
sgtg - there will be other weeks when you can get out for a walk. Sometimes i'm sure the children conspire against our best laid plans. Try incorporating extra trips up/down the stairs each day... say set youself a target to do 15 trips before mid-day, and 15 trips before 6pm, etc. It all helps!
DebenhamsBoss - oooh, do you have the CCTV footage of that personal shopping experience available to put on Youtube?:rotfl:
I'm still immersed in a cake wonderland at the moment. Struggling a bit because I need to get, or am awaiting arrival of equipment. I have the opportunity to have some cakes included as part of an exhibit at an exhibition in London next week, so I really want to get this sorted. The 'client' has an ornate design in mind, so I do need to work hard on that. Nothing ventured, nothing gained though, eh? It was very hard baking cakes today and not licking the spoons/bowl, but fortunately I have used a new spatula that gets pretty much every last bit of mix out, and into the cake cases. Phew!
Oh, and for anyone who uses my dyno-rod soup recipe, I can thoroughly recommend using some of it as a base for slow cooked beef casserole. OH has requested that we have that more often. I'll have to cook up another batch of soup later this week, and do another casserole next week. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
