Good luck Puds! Today's walk does sound like a killer  Is there no way you could do it the other way around? 5 miles AFTER a meal would do me in but you're evidently much fitter than I am! I don't know if I'm going to get out today after all, my plans may be scuppered by a poorly 5 year old.
thanks sgtg :-) it must be difficult trying to find any time for yourself when youve got children to look after especially if theyre a bit poorly and needing extra attention. All i can say is, if the opportunity arises and you find yourself with a couple of hours to yourself, then just get your shoes on and go, ideally aim for a half way point where you can take a break but it doesnt really matter where to,or who with so long as your feet are moving.

I've got a few BL episodes stored on my sky box so may try get my bike and power plate out tonight and watch them while I'm doing it - as seeing their efforts always makes me realise that I can/should do more, and that I will see results... if I put the effort in!
Hi Lolly :-) me too, i find biggest loser so motivational. Seeing giants (like Mike on the US show) doing the work outs that he does, and getting the good results, sort of keeps things in perspective for me.
:T do you wear your weight vest too ?
Hi Alli :-) You're on holiday so I'm glad you're not being too strict with yourself. If you can't let yourself have the odd hot chocolate after skiing then when can you!
The weight vest isnt coming out on walks at the moment. I think that would just be too much - and anyway we're walking during the day and the vest looks like a suicide bombers vest, so outdoors i tend to only wear it when walking at night when people cant see me!!! I've set an indoor challenge in my head to do through March and it will be geting worn a lot then, it's the same challenge that i attempted in January but failed after a just few days (climbing mount everest but without leaving the house!)

Fred :-) can you add a 9lb loss to England team's scores please for this week

This puts me back down to 25st 8lbs - which is the lowest ive been in recent years and just 8 lbs away from getting a £500 cheque off my Dad! Next weeks target is therefore 8lbs!!!
  • Morning :)

    It's a STS for me I'm afraid.

Thanks for the links Eric, I've been wondering what everyone's been talking about! Seems to be a pretty controversial subject but interesting. The only diet plan I've ever followed is WW, before they changed the way it's all pointed from carbohydrate content, so I've been thinking about counting calories as I currently have no idea how many I'm eating!

I'm not doing very well this week, it's half term and with the eldest having an ear infection we're stuck at home... and they're both driving me crazy... so I eat. I can't really exercise at home because the big one hassles me and the little one finds it hilarious to run in circles around me, and neither of them stop talking long enough for me to concentrate on anything. *Sigh* bring on Monday!

  • Victory - it all sounds so horrendously painful:( There's nothing I can say really, other thanI am really sorry youare having to go through this:(

Puds - what a great loss - well done.
Eric - sorry to hear youare still feeling so rough. Not fun, I now when it goes on and on.

Sary - fab loss:T. You have been patient and persistant with sw during the sts weeks:T
    -1lb for me please fred.

Went for the free personal shopper service with Debenh^ms. I think I could safely say that it was not sucessful...I looked hideous in everything picked out for me...and they kind of agreed, lol. And the harsh lighting made me look paisty and horrible. I would still recommend the service as worth a try: I think I was a difficult case.

Betty - good luck with the new plan: how you describe it, it all makes sense. And you're right, if you can't stick to sw then you do put weight on because of the portions etc. It's not something you can dip in and out of really so isn't suitable for your needs and lifestyle. I'm sure you'll get there.

alliwant - glad you had a fab time - sounds wonderful.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

    hey all

STS today, fine by me as I am just getting my head round the new 'Betty lifestyle plan' hehe.

Been to the gym, knackered now!

had porridge with skim and 1.5 tsp sugar and a banana for brekkie, gonna have brown toast with low fat cheese for lunch and some more fruity. dinner will be veggie risotto. trying to stay low fat - bit of a carby day but I have decided I am only going to restrict carbs on the days where I dont do any exercise!
