Hello! Managed 40 lengths of breast stroke today in my 45 mins swim  My technique is improving everythime which is helping me to swim further. I have a q though. Im starting to get achy in my upper arms. Is there any warm up/cool down that I should be doing (or stretches?)
Mega busy tomorrow but WILL do my aqua class in the evening
Yes!! You wanna do a little neck stretch...bending your head to the left and to the right. Shoulder curls, basically rotating your shoulders with your arms down by your sides a bit. Then you want to windmill your arms. Then you wanna stretch the arms. Then do your legs. Probably a video on swimming stretches on youtube. Then repeat at the end. Start with a warm up and a cool down!! I'd do 4-6 warm up lengths. Then 4-6 cooldown where i just lazily swam!
Good work on the 40 lengths!! I need to sort my pubes out else i'd go swimming more often!0 -

Lol! Any excuse eh!:p
Thanks for this. I am going to definately do some of these stretches (in my changing cubicle). These are great AND Ill check out you tube as you suggest. Im seizing up all around my neck and shoulders tonight so thats definately the area I need to warm up/cool down at least.:money: Saving money, saving the environment and saving space (aka decluttering) - my motto this year!0 -

According to my BMI I am still overweight
How tall are you as 8stones seems very tiny to me :T:T:T Very well done:D. Hopefully, in the next couple of months, all things being equal, I'll be joining you in saying "I've finally hit my target" :jSECRET TO WINNING PRIZES:

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I see. I thought her target weight was 8 stones which she has now hit and wondering why her BMI would still be overweight :eek:SECRET TO WINNING PRIZES:

So according to my calculations that means I have finally hit my target weight loss of 8 stone :j:j:jConsidering at the start I wanted to loose 56lb and I have now done 112lb I cannot believe how far I have come
According to my BMI I am still overweight but I think I am going to have to accept that the BMI is wrong.
