FS posting 3.2 miles in 36 mins 15 seconds

I think I shaved off just over a minute on this try, put the speed up to 5.2mph, almost passed out about 34 mins in, honestly I had to catch myself on the hand rails :rotfl:

this fat lump is not made for running :D

Well done Eric that is a good time  It seems the fat lump is made for running :rotfl:

    2.3 miles run today :D

Still enjoying it, though i'm not very good at regulating my breathing. I try to breathe slowly but then I get in a panic and gasp for air :(
    practice makes perfect though! :)

To be honest Betty breathing never bothered me until I heard the voice telling me I should breath in and out in 4 so I tried and kept getting out of breath :( So I don't worry about it and just breath as my body see's fit and it doesn't see to bother me now. But I think now I am going longer I need to breath deeper but it will come with time. I'm glad you are getting out and enjoying it :D

I had a little cheeky two legged dance today, nothing too extreme but it felt good!! Will be back to the gym on sunday :D

Perhaps you should order that Hoop now Vix ;) Glad it felt good to be back on two feet.

Did my first 20 min run today without stopping :D I am so proud of myself as 5 weeks ago there was no way I could have run for that length of time  So my Race for life training is coming along really well :T

Fred - Can you put me down for 2.49 miles today.
    Restarting C25K in 2014 - Week 8 - 1/3 completed

as a side note situps are a very naff exercise, there far too low calorie burning to be effective for weight loss and there a poor exercise for core training, its also impossible to target fat burn

Totally agree. And yet we still live in a society where people think it's a quick fix whereas it's anything but. I don't think they realise that for your abs to be defined, the fat has to first be removed lol.

Anyway, day 30 of Insanity done. Even though it's supposed to be recovery week, they don't lay off at all. Make it sound easy and relaxing, but boy does it burn like hell. :rotfl:My shoulders ache. Weigh in tomorrow, dunno what to expect. Started my totm today, but still really hoping I get to at least 64.6kg so that my total becomes exactly 4 stone lost.

I'd never manage a 2.3 mile run!! Well done betty. I think my running technique is awful as well as my breathing, i want to jog but it feels like im [uttinf more effort in. Perhaps im a sprinter and not endurance!!
That was my problem vix I used to try to RUN and then get too tired and discouraged. The NHS podcast that i'm using lets you do interval training - a combo of jogging and walking - to ease you into it. there's a heavy focus on keeping a steady pace, not rushing. I still can't believe i'm managing it! I have NEVER been a runner!!!

except that the world record is under 13 mins :eek::eek:

tbh thou that doesn't bother me as they destroy there muscle structure to be able to run like that, they look like little girls :rotfl:I will be happy with a sub 30 min :p

gratz on running none stop :T:T:T

interval training is far more efficient way of building up cardio stamina or getting the max cal per hour burn, just wack the treadmill on full speed and do 30 seconds on and 30 off :rotfl: my poor knees wont take it, they just about cope with a 5k :(

slowing down and going for a high incline also hammers the heart rate (if you have a treadmill)
