as a side note situps are a very naff exercise, there far too low calorie burning to be effective for weight loss and there a poor exercise for core training, its also impossible to target fat burn

The only things that situps are effective for is back strain!

    Hello

I couldn't agree more with what Eric says. He really knows what he's talking about.

I've found I need protein. That means, if there's no time for anything else, an egg. Eggs whether boiled, fried or in the form of an omelette, are excellent protein. A slice of ham or a bit of cheese adds more protein and fills you up better, keeps you going longer. I never eat so-called 'breakfast cereals' any more. Most mornings we have an egg in some form or another with a slice of wholemeal toast.

Biscuits are useless to you. You mention drinking coke - is this the kind with huge amounts of sugar in it, or is it the 'diet' kind? Whichever, you'd be better drinking water with some Robinson's. We keep a jug of filtered water in the fridge and add Robinson's no added sugar.

With little ones, walking is the best exercise. I was the slimmest I've ever been when I had 2 littlies, but then, I was for ever sticking them into the pushchair and walking half a mile to the village. Running in and out hanging washing, bringing it in, all that is good exercise. Just keep active, knock the biscuits and coke on the head, eat properly and you'll get there.

    uggggg head spinning

FS posting 3.2 miles in 36 mins 15 seconds

I think I shaved off just over a minute on this try, put the speed up to 5.2mph, almost passed out about 34 mins in, honestly I had to catch myself on the hand rails :rotfl:

this fat lump is not made for running :D

gonna be hard for me to clock up the rest of the miles before the end of the month, been so busy lost nearly a week :(

Am I admitting insanity by saying I can hear Jillian shouting at me pushing me on when I work out?

I defiantly hear "let go of the !!!!ing treadmill!" although I cant hold on and run ;)

    2.3 miles run today :D

Still enjoying it, though i'm not very good at regulating my breathing. I try to breathe slowly but then I get in a panic and gasp for air :(
    practice makes perfect though! :)

Had a bad few days food wise, just can't seem to stop munching all day long. I think it's because i'm not getting enough sleep - it's making me want to snack and eat bread, etc.

Still, at least i'm gettin out and doing some exercise - a sts would be fine by me this week. I am getting going on the exercise front, the food will come next. I can only battle one thing at a time else I get overwhelmed and disappoint myself.

I'd never manage a 2.3 mile run!! Well done betty. I think my running technique is awful as well as my breathing, i want to jog but it feels like im [uttinf more effort in. Perhaps im a sprinter and not endurance!!

Well done Beanie on your mileage on the bike, i did'nt realise you were joining in on the challenege!

I had a little cheeky two legged dance today, nothing too extreme but it felt good!! Will be back to the gym on sunday :D

Yes, I did mean the crank one, though I have never heard it called applied K before (though it is a number of years since it regularly crossed my radar).

Thanks to everyone for the feedback and I'm sorry the info I have is very vague.

Sounds like I should go to keep an eye on my mate - I'll let you know how we get on.

hey thanks all for the support. I am trying to get rid of the coke and now the sun is starting to shine, i will be taking advantage of the park with my youngest. Also i live in a small village where there isnt much and the nearest shopping town is 2 miles down the road so i have done that walk before and will start doing it alot more for when i need to do shopping etc (plus it saves on busfare).
All of the gyms around here do not offer a creche service, but may have to brave taking my youngest swimming. My kids are 23months and 4years. I am a single mum so dont have a partner to watch the kids while i go out or to the gym. my ex has the kids on a sunday for about 4 hours and this time is spent an hour on the wii, then i go and meet and catch up with friends.
And unfortunatly, i dont have a garden to put a trampoline in, i live in a flat/maisonette.
