Day 1 Fit test: (next fit test will be at Day 15)

    1. Switch Kicks - 85
    2. Power Jacks - 68
    3. Power Knees - 107
    4. Power Jumps - 62
    5. Globe Jumps - 19
    6. Suicide Jumps - 18
    7. Push-up Jacks - 40
    8. Low plank oblique - 49

Just did my fit test today:

    Switch kicks: 100
    Power jacks: 51
    Power knee: 91
    Power jumps: 30
    Globe jumps: 10
    Suicide jumps: 12
    Push up jacks: 10
    Low plank obliques: 35

As you can see, I hate push ups lol, especially push up jacks which are really hard. I have to say though, that I didn't even know how to do a push up at first when i started my fitness journey, and now I do. :D I'm disappointed in my globe jumps though. I know I could have done way more, but I stopped to catch my breath lol, so just aimed for 10. Oh and another one I hate is power jumps, as you can see from above :p

Hopefully my next fit test will show some improvement.

    I'm knackered now haha.

I have spent ages reading through past posts and feel that I am in very good company here - all determined but not perfect!

I am not following any plans I am just going down the "healthy eating and exercise" route. I have just about tried everything over the years, some sucessful (WW) some not so sucessful (atkins, hypnotherapy, Alli (the strong ones from the dr's) those tablets that speed up your metabolism (from a dodgy dr) detox) and thats just what I can remember off the top of my head. Since my sucessful time at WW I have also had about 5 unsucessful times.

    So now I start again.

I know the nutritional value of everything I eat, I have all the support I could need, I am very unhappy about my weight - yet - I have still got the weight. So I am going to try really hard. My downfall is wine, lager and eating! I eat when sad, happy, ill, bored etc etc. But yesterday and today I feel like my head is in the right place and I can make a real go of it. Only drinking on special occaisions (is Monday a special occaision?) and eating homecooked healthy meals.

I just have a couple of Q's (I have only managed to get halfway through previous posts so far so forgive me):-
    What day is weigh in?
    How do I climb everest?

Welcome onboard (I'm a semi-newbie too) and best of luck this time around.

I was told weighing day is Wednesday i.e. get your weights in on/by/before Wednesday so you can go on that week's chart.

Not sure about the everest question. Doing the Insanity workout at the mo. Not sure I can also climb everest

That's what brought me to this forum :rotfl:I was at home one morning, sipping my cup of tea and watching the telly when along comes this advert for Insanity Workout. It promised to give you a rippling body in 60 days. I was mesmerised. Upon googling it, it's quite costly (over £100) but it does have about 10 DVD's and some other stuff.

I did a search in MSE, saw that some people in this thread do the workout, and Princess_x did the DVDs for me. I started yesterday and I must say, it is a killer

oooohhhh! "A rippling body is 60 days" - thats different from the wobbly body I already have! I may have to work up to that one. I have the "Wii Your Shape" I do 15mins and I'm a mess - I suppose every little helps! Good Luck with it!

My friend said she went to zumba and found she didn't even break into a sweat. Dunno if its for me :/ When i did dancing lessons inc salsa i didn't get to a point where i felt it was working me out.

My friend also told me she didn't break into a sweat when she went to zumba and didn't even feel she needed a shower afterwards. I zumba twice a week and I am soaked with sweat when I am finished and so worked out that the sweat is trickling into my eyes. Believe me, with the right teachers (I do two very different classes), its a great workout and great fun! I have tried some teachers who were less good though so they do vary somewhat.
