Welcome to all the newbies, lurkers who have come out of hiding, and those still lurking. Don't worry about having anything being interesting to say, we all just waffle
Hope everyone has managed to find FB if they wanted it.
Had a very nice day, shame about the tennis, but it wasn't to be. Then had a nice sit on the patio, and went for a walk around, trying to get back to doing an hour a day. Just had dinner, which was steak out of the freezer, and now have the Antiques Roadshow on, which DH likes,. followed by Countryfile.
Tomorrow our good weather is due to disappear for the day, so will bottom the spare bedroom, and make the beds ready for our friends coming out to see us at half term.
Have a lovely evening. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club

Congrats to HH & family, will go & have a nosy at the pics next.
Halight - glad to hear twins are feeling better, & I'm not an axe murderer either (yet)
 to all newbies
Did a whole chicken in the slowcooker for the 1st time today, DP was not convinced it was cooked because it wasn't brown & crispy so I just stuck it on a tray in the oven whilst roasties were cooking & he was happy:) also made some scones,& some jacket spuds (for tomorrow) & a liver cake for the dogs_pale_. Also made a stack of bird cakes & treats as it so much colder again I thought they could do with some extras.
DS back from his dads, but he still seems to have the @rse with me, & I just cba with his attitude today, will try again tomorrow.
Have just realised I haven't posted my menu plan for this week:o so will do that & then go & look at HH's pics,
RR hope you get things sorted out for your dad soon.
Hugs, spoons & hi5's where needed,
Keep warm everybody.

julie67 & bitsy beans, hope you had fun on strike
i know how you feel with people ruining your cleaning, except this is full grown adults (older than me!!) who should be able to take care of themselves
rfedruby, good luck wtih your dad hope he's okay
I've spent most of the day prepping to go back to uni tomorrow. Getting equipment and time table ready, cleaning, did a wash(wish i'd done it sooner though so i had some dry clothes!!), did a huge batch of "green soup" (potato peel, broccoli stalk, frozen spinach) and an inventory of my freezer meals. I have a lot of late starts/ends this semester and know I won't always fancy cooking at 7pm. And so much computer work and modelling so there will be a fair few late nights spent in a computer lab
The rest of the house got back from Brighton around 4pm, looking very worse for wear. They don't go out often, but when they do they always seem to do something stupid or disgusting like cheating on girlfriends or throwing up on themselves.... urrrrrrggg!!Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -

Will need to do recap tomorrow morning before work and clean and tidy things, but was lovely to spend a day with OH when we just walked around and looked at things, we didn;t spend a lot of money he got new pair of trousers and me 2 work tops from primark, but it was just nice to walk about

Yay!!!!! Got the black putty science stain off the new beige carpet!!! Tried it with ice, but it was still really black and not enough to chip off. Used the amazing Xanto carpet cleaner stuff from Poundland. Flippin' brilliant stuff!!!! Off now to look for the pics of HH new DGD. Watching Shrek the 3rd with the kids before shipping them off to bed.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...:D:D
