So much for our day in!! Decided to make use of our very underused National Trust membership & went for a good walk around Clumber Lake instead.
It was lovely to just stride out without chasing after a toddler or waiting for an elderly lady.I'm not really horrible but as we hardly go anywhere without another member of the family in tow it was nice to spend time as a couple.
Not very OS as we had some overpriced parsnip soup for lunch (although it was scrumptious!!). At least we can have today's pork chops & veg tomorrow.
And look at the health benefits - free fresh air & exercise!! I spend too much time sat on my ever increasing posterior in a stuffy office!!! :j
Welcome to all the newbies!!

I thought of you yesterday as I had a chat to my hairdresser who was out with her baby twins who were born at 22 weeks:eek: they are still on oxygen but at least they are at home - they spent months in hospital at Bristol, real little fighters they are.
Oh my word I think they've done incredible to survive from 22 weeks. Not kidding they're little fighters, well done them x How old are they now?
Busy day as usual, feel knackered and my back is playing up again. it's always after I am bending forward cleaning or stuff like that. Discovered I'd inadvertantly sucked up a 2p coin in the hose of my vac, no wonder I couldn't suck up the bits off the stairs properly
Flutterby - ooooh I like a bit of rock, we'll have to see if his band have anything on Youtube
Hester - New GD is beautiful. I must stop looking or I'll be getting broody again :eek:

-Julie67,- we love Being Human too, watched it from the pilot episode :j:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Just back from seeing the Kings Speech - brilliant brilliant film! I liked the historical aspect - watching the backdrop. Absolutely fascinating!
More people have added me to Facebook - many thanks and no Im not a mad axe wielding murderer xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Welcome to the Newbies, I don't ever have anything interesting to say but I say it anyway!
Bought some FirFir yarn to try to knit a scarf. The woman in the shop kind of told me what to do but I can't do it! Will have to take it into work tomorrow as there is someone very crafty there. Hope she can help!
Went to supermarket to top up with fresh food and had chicken and stir fry for tea. Stir fry was reduced so bought another pack for tomorrow. Rubber chicken and reduced veg, very OS!
Enjoy your evenings! Take care. XX0
