Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Friday 29th Jan. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.

Morning all.
Been a couple of days since I was able to read the daily thread. Have to go back now to read yesterday's to see why we are congratulating HH!!!!
BTW, what about CGs proposal? I did look through pages and pages the other day, but couldn't find if she said yes!
Quiet-ish day today. Actually managed to do a version of a meal plan yday. Well, more of a big long list of 30 meals, which we can choose and tick off when they are done.
Have to bake today. Did a lemon curd cake the other day and it was lovely with lots of lime juice drizzled over the top and a sprinkle of icing sugar.
DD1 left her black Science museum putty where her 3YO sister was able to reach it. There is now a bit of it stuck right in the middle of their new bedroom carpet. DH will go nuts if he sees it. The carpet hasn't even been down a week, and the black bit is right in the middle. Thankfully it is just about 5p size, but still......
Off to do a quick whizz around before the tennis.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...:D:D

Hugs xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Freeze it off with a freezer block that you use for sandwiches etc. I did this with chewing gum and chipped it off.I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

Anyone else on here wanting to add me on Facebook, I've just gone on the MSE page to give my name on here.
Ordered the wrong size pack of mince on my Tesco delivery so had enough for chilli the other night and have enough left over to make a shepherds pie for dinner today. The usual ironing to do today, which will be done while watching Andy Murray - hope he wins.
