Afternoon all
I haven't been on here for a little while as we seem to have been so busy with the new dog! He seems to be settling in well, apart from a few snarls and snaps at Holly (other dog), but that's top be expected.
We've also been frequent visitors to the vets  First it was his neutering, then a post-op check up, and then we thought he had kennel cough, so it was back there this morning. Luckily it wasn't, and appears to be a sore bit in his throat from the tube they used under anaesthetic. They were really lovely as they only charged for an anti-inflammatory, and that was half price - so a bill I expected to be about £50, came to £7 :j
So, still no more moneysaving. However, the weekend looks like being a good'un as I'm off for a snooze (OH's friend came last night and didn't leave until 1am = bed at 1.45am - I was up at 7 to go to the farmers' market ), then it's a good long dog walk, and mum's making dinner (baked onions with beans and brown rice).
Tomorrow looks like a long hill walk then we're at mum's celebrating their 46th wedding aniversary
Have a good day all, and hugs to those who need them.

Afternoon all! Just in from shopping then took the dog straight out (hadn't put shopping away and forgot i bought some frozen things!!)
Stuck to my list mostly except for hot chocolate and pineapple chunks - basics so total over spend was less than £1!
Tidied the shared hallway - other tennant looked rather greatfulSmells nice and the carpet is a couple of shades lighter now too!
Bargainbird - Thank youhe's lovely. Can be a right terror though but he's fast approaching the terrible twos so i suppose it's to be expected.
I think the job thing will work out, it's always been our intention to move away from where we are just i think now we will stagger it over a year or something like that.
Silly question - my recipe tonight wants plum tomatoes. does it mean fresh or tinned? I have no idea and it doesn't really specify!!Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

ASilly question - my recipe tonight wants plum tomatoes. does it mean fresh or tinned? I have no idea and it doesn't really specify!!
in the other SW recipe I saw for curry it stated a 400g can of tomatoes so I'd guess they mean fresh tomatoes or they would have said a can in the ingredients. Bit confusing isn't it.
If the toatoes are for the dahl - I've just looked at the recipe and I reckon they mean fresh. HTH.Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Yess for the dhal, I shall go for fresh ones and see what happens
thank you both! I'm getting hungry, i want to make it now but OH isn't due home for hours!
