Morning all.....quiet here,dd2 home yesterday for a rare weekend.came with out boyfriend and obviously needed a dose of home and mum and dad.

house smells lovely as I bake granola cookies....91 cookies made so thats a big box for dd2 to take with her,a few in the cookie jar and the rest to be frozen .....next time will make them a tiny bit smaller and aim for 100.
just sitting here with my sat. face mask on while waiting for last batch to come out of oven....then it will be time to jump in the shower......

It rained last night and I had left some washing out....{it hardly ever rains here!] so popped that in a quick wash this morning as clothes were dirty from being under pergula[sp?] Its stopped now and am moving small airer around trying to catch some sun.......dd2 wont be able to catch bus home this afternoon until her jeans are dry!........

hope everyone has a good weekend..........hugs to those in need and wishing Hesters daughter an easy birth!.........

Will do taplady - we made the fajita salad from there the other night and that was delish. Really really tasty, will have it again, so i have high hopes for the curry to be just as tasty. They have veggie samosas as part of it too, but thats too much food just OH and I so i've skipped them!

I have paid my rent :) got some bills to sort out but OH needs to get paid first then those can get be done. He brought up the fact that if he gets this job full time he iwll need to live away. So checked online and you can get a studio flat for £350 (after haggling) there, which even with bill would be cheaper than a b&b so will look into getting a deposit saved for him once it's been confirmed. He has spent £80 in diesel so far this week, so i think moving really is a better option. Although i shall get very lonely in the week.

I texted him to let him know our joint account was showing up on the internet banking and his was response was 'so we're a proper couple now' - I thought the engagement ring meant that!!!

I'm not passing the time till my mum comes to get me at 11!

  • Good morning! :hello:

Very cold this morning! Have had to put the heating back on for a bit.

Plan to sit here and watch Saturday Kitchen, I do like [STRIKE]James Martin [/STRIKE]the food they make. ;)

Need to do some tidying up, washing and cleaning, might leave that until tomorrow now. :o Also need to box up some DVDs to send to Music Magpie.

I'm out at the radio course this afternoon and DH said he'll do the washing up while I'm out. :T Got a party to go to tonight, no idea what to wear!

Hester - look forward to news on the new arrival! :j
Halight - sorry to hear that the twins are unwell, hope they're better soon. :)

I hope everyone has a good day!

    Taplady's son - happy birthday!!
Hester - oooh looking forward to hearing the news. All the best for your DD
mmmm who posted spicy potatoes? Thanks - I've copied the recipe into my file.
Dogs been walked. Need to do DH's shirts. May or not do some bedding after that.
Tea tonight - steak and gravy pies, mash and veg. Nice and easy.
Plan to do another batch of Twinks today. Have a couple left from the other day as I gave a tin to DD and took some over to DS yesterday, along with things I thought a 24 yr old son might be grateful for - toothpaste (!), some packs of spices and a few A Harriett couscous packs. Oh and a pack of cold remedy sachets just to have in as he's bound to have a cold sometime! JackieG we didn't go far from Queen St station and went to Niall's pub for lunch. The food was fab!
Might get some daffs today - have been meaning to get a little pot of them for a while.
have a good day folks and hope those who are unwell, tired or sad feel better soon.

Good Afternoon All! Not sure where the moring has gone already!
Have bought and posted card and pressie to DB who has a birthday on Tuesday - should be there in time I hope. Also visited Mr T's and felt pleased at the amount of stuff I bought either BOGOF or with extra for the same price. have WM and TD on at present.
Lunch will be some roasted mackerel I bought earlier in the week, not sure what DH has organised for supper!
Very cold here! Three of my friends are sleeping in our barn of a church (largest in Essex!) overnight, being sponsored for Homelessness Sunday tomorrow. Rather them that me! However, they have over £500 in sponsorship so well worthwhile.
DS sent a text last night to say he'd probably be back in hospital overnight... ho-hum...Not heard anything yet today. Keep telling him things will get better but it is a very hard road.
Hester - looking forward to hearing the baby news!
Hope you all have a good w/e, take care of yourselves.
