Spent £25.16 in Te$co today and was quite pleased with that.

Brought 3 bags of the porridge oats - 3 FOR 2 so thanks to who ever posted about this or I would'nt have picked them up this week. Also brought 2 of the Flora spread they cost £1.70 each but are buy 2 for £2

Have made some celery soup which we have had for lunch and also prepared a cottage pie for tea. However the baking never got done so thats tomorrow if everything goes to plan.

Will need some milk tomorrow and must visit the greengrocers as only got carrots, potatoes and onions left and even less fruit.

hope everyone has a good weekend.

Have skipped about 2 pages, so apologies if I've missed anything important.

Having a really, really awful time with my daughter at the moment - or should I say my poor daughter is having a truly awful time and I'm just watching her go through the hell that each new day brings her. Doing my best (and it seems mostly, failing) to comfort her. I wouldn't wish Mental Illness on my worst enemy. It's soul destroying to watch your child in so much distress. I feel physically and mentally exhuasted :(

I'm sorry to hear you're not well Spiggs and require further tests and a CT Scan. Am sending positive thoughts your way hun :grouphug: How is hubby getting on cycling to work? Has he had to use a different route or has he managed to overcome his fear of using the old one after his accident?

miecherox, Really sorry to read what happened with your car. How upsetting for you :(

:grouphug: To all those needing one - and it seems to be a lot of us this month.

On the GC front, it's a NSD for me, bringing me up to 4. Shame my spends so far don't reflect that. I'm standing at £106.28 at the moment. Which is far from great! Just getting my online order together for the 20th of this month, and it's already coming to more than I have available for it - not sure how I'm going to tweak it to get it to what I want it to come to. It's only my 2nd month doing just the one online shop - I thought it all seemed a bit easy last month ;)

Anyway - let's not be downhearted at how well we aren't doing. At least we're trying :) and that's the main thing.

I have yet to convince my dh that one meat free night a week is a good idea.

  • Not sure if this is the right thread but I am trying to plan ahead and have bought a joint of pork at half price but it is huge. Am going to cook it all at once for a roast on sun (for 5 adults) but there will be enought left over for another family meal, but short of pork sandwiches really don't know what to do with it - any suggestions?

I make a pie with any leftover pork. Usually goes down well my gang.
