I am going to splash out on a SmartPhone, in particular i like the HTC Desire with its high res screen and sat nav etc.
But just a little cheaper is the HTC Wildfire with a low res screen,
Can i ask the members is the Desire worth the extra money ???.
At the moment i have a Nokia 2700 i have just got hold of a cheap Tesco Sim and find the small screen a real pain when used for internet browsing, so i am hoping the large screen of the HTC Desire/Wildfire will be far better.

Don't know anything about the wildlife, but I love my desire.£400+ in my £2 coin tablet fund0

personally i would look into the galaxy s and htc desire, both excellent phones, not so much the wildfire as some apps cant be used on such a low res screen. I love my galaxy s and the large unboard memeory storage 8gb helps with all my apps. the htc desire is also good.0

I had a HTC Wildfire and my husband has a HTC Desire, got fed up of mine being so slow compared to his and upgraded to a Desire well worth the extra imo.0

I have only heard good reports on the Desire from the people I know who use one. I have the Wildfire and love it because it's small enough to go in my pocket. I don't notice the low res screen (didn't even know it had one LOL)0

Best way to get a feel for the phone the galaxy s is 4 inch (quite large) but i love it.0 -
I have the wildfire cos it was all I could afford and the desire is way too big for me. I've tweaked the speed with a few apps like Advanced task killer and APNdroid etc...does me fine...
However this wee MSEer has a which sub and I can tell you confidently that the Desire is the 1st HTC to be a which best buy...so if you can afford the desire I'd go for that...
However...if you really want the wildfire it doesn't score too bad (I think 63% on which. The LG Pop beats it with 80% but don't know how they can call it a smartphone when it doesn't have a heap of net features like wifi etc. As does the Nokia 8 but that has an antiquated platform in the symbian platform which limits apps)...the desire is like 72% or something...
How much are they charging you for the desire out of curiosity? I think I paid £150 for my wildfire though you can get it lower...
