Yes when we got there we were told we had to go to Splash landing as we were booked in there even though confirmation said Alton Towers.
The room was really tired, smelt damp and one of the bunk beds was full of crisps! We went back to the Alton Towers and asked could we be moved. The lady sorted out a room for us. The Alton Towers one was much nicer than Splash landing. I would ring before getting there to check.0 -
looks like we will be in the splash landings :-(
do you guys think they will change our rooms if we want to..to the towers hotel??
i think i read somewhere that the spalsh landings was sposed to be the better hotel..
think ill go with what msers think best :-)0 -
Just call them. I think they will change you no problems if they are not full. We were told they were full, but they did find us a room.0

I`m pleased I found this thread as I`d forgotten about this offer. Anyway booked two nights next week thru Lastminute. What great value!
We`ve stayed previously at both the Alton Towers and Splashlandings hotels and I much prefer AT, however last time we were paying £150 per night so I`m not too worried.
Has anyone eaten at the restaurant lately? Last time I gave the family potnoodles in the room - boy we know how to live it up!0 -

I think the room was fairly nice but was expecting a spectacular bathroom for the normal price of the rooms and it was dissapointing - a little grubby like you say, I have to say the bathroom in the travelodge we stayed in lately was nicer and you even got a heated towl rail there too.0 -
In one of the earlier threads, breakfast for children was mentioned at 5.95, is this available as mine don't really eat much and I don't want to pay 8.50 when they only nibble at a slice of toast.
Additionally, I booked an extra night and have only got the internet confirmation, as anybody else gone without the official booking letter? What goes around - comes around
give lots and you will always recieve lots0 -
Hi my parents used the £10 room offer while they said it was a nice break they would never pay the full price and said they didn't know how they got it to be a 4* hotel as it was shabby .OK for a £10 but thats it .0
