Only thing I know about it is that it's £8.50 if you book it when you check in.
Oh and almost forgot... Thanks 306notout for your original post x
No problems at all!!
When I was there the breakfast was excellent. It was buffet eat as much as you like.
Bacon, Sausage, eggs, Beans, Tomato's, all the Cereal's, coffee, tea, fresh fruit. Etc etc
And on my other plate I had ToastWe took on Mr T and we won:D
Shame it had to end, will have to get free stuff from comps now :beer:0 -
do you have to book the Spa or can you just turn up? and where do you pay - at the Spa or at the hotel reception. Also where would I find out if it was at a reduced price on the day if it wasn't busy?0

Spent the weekend there - fantastic Waterpark - the kids loved it. Only disappointment was Secret Garden Restaurant. Found the food there was quite pricey and didnt really enjoy it. Excellent breakfast in the hotels.0

just found this on the almanac website - the alton towers hotel is closing the rooms on the 6th december due to this -
The proposed extension to the Alton Towers Hotel, which was sent to the local council in September, has been approved.
The development will see 36 executive suites built adjacent to the existing Hotel.
i think people who have booked after this date to stay will be in the splash landings hotel - cool if you want to try both out0 -
was any1 elses bathroom a bit old/ grubby looking?0

I have just been told that the Alton Towers Hotel will be closed on the 6th of December by Lastminute, for how long they have not said. Has anyone else heard this? I will phone Alton to find out why and for how long, as it seems that its another piece of important information that should be on their website.......

I have just finished talking to Alton, they have confirmed that the Hotel will be CLOSED on the 6th and other dates during Decemeber which i didnt ask for. When i say Hotel i mean sleeping accomadation the other Hotel facilities will be available (food/bar etc). Just wanted to let people know who would be expected the Alton Towers Hotel only to get the Splash Landings Hotel. So call before booking on Lastminute to confirm with Alton. hope this helps
I have also just called the hotel direct as i booked four rooms for this friday and saturday ! ( weeks ago )- i made a request on last minute.com for the rooms to be together and also a cot to be added to one of the rooms - no of this information was passed thru to the hotel and
the rooms are spread across both hotels and one of them has friday night in alton towers hotel and one night in splash landings with a 6 hour gap in the middle !
all sorted now with a 20 minute call to the hotel using the expensive number - i bet the call costs more than the room !
still looking forward to our weekend away - watch out splash landings here we come ! ( alton towers hotel is fully booked for fri night by the way so some may be in splash landings like us )0 -
