    Hello
Last year we went a couple of days before Christmas.
It was a lovely clear night and the stars were brilliant - being as it's in the middle of nowhere with no light pollution. The reason we know is because there was a fire alarm at 2am and we had to walk a mile around the building only to end up just down the corridor from our room. Fire engines turned up - we then couldn't sleep.
    Drinks
We went along to the family disco think that was two years ago - at one point they do a children's trasure hunt and the children ran around collecting things beginning with 't' - one child turned up with beer cans and the entertainer said we don't sell these. The Dad just sat back and said no it was a lot cheaper than buying your own from the bar! So you wouldn't be the first smuggle in drink - this group just sat drinking their own - not sure if anything was said. Everyone just seemed really happy.

I'm very excited 2 nights away from home.

Did you have to wear the tin foil blankets - thats what we got when the fire alarm went of. Funny how it's alwaysthe middle of the night!

Tin foil blankets - that would be a luxury. No and it was raining!
Apparently it was someone smoking in the corridor!

We're keeping it a secret from the children - I'm finding it really hard and can't believe it's so soon!

How come this has moved into 'It's gone' ?

Okay Fridays are £20 and Saturdays at £30 now (down a little from £40) but there's still loads of £10 rooms available in the week.
  • Hi,

Just got back from two days there, we loved it, of course water park was closed.

We spent all saturady in spa, OH loved it.

Breakfast was well worth £8.50 each.

Evening meal pretty poor choice of menu, turned sat nav on and picked a toby carvery 11 mile away and it was the best carvery we have had in a long time. £8.95 each.

Rooms value for money. Movies were not working.

We enjoyed it a lot and will book again.

    Keep smiling

Thats what we are doing there this Saturday.

I'm really looking forward to it.

We've stayed in the hotel before so we know that'll be good but its good to hear some positive feedback about the spa.

I've booked some treatments for us both too :D
Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...

Don't know whether I can make it this Friday with the kids. Does anyone know how much i will be charged if I don't cancel the reservation and just fail to show. Won't know till later this week, possibly Friday which is the problem. Thanks, Shaun
  • If you don't turn up, you'll prob just be charged whatever you paid. Try calling them and see what they say.

I have just booked this to stay on sunday nite. It's currently at £10.00 again - so grab yourself a bargain!!!

I haven't had an email confirmation yet but I have a reference number. Do I need to be concerned or will the reference number suffice???

Also I was hoping to go to the Water Park or Spa - is there any cheap turnarounds for this???

    I ain't being a penny pincher guys - I just love a bargain!!!

    All replies muchly appreciated!!!

    Thanks,

    Love
