We won't eat turkey so will prob choose a nice joint of something else & christmas cake i thought was a little expensive so haven't decided on that yet

well had a fun day and managed to scrape another NSD :j and by fun, i mean i spent the afternoon in a&e with ds2 (& DD) because he had hurt his wrist! we were there hours
and i was starving, as were the kids! I fended off their starvation with crisps & their juice cups (filled up with free hospital water!) & i just starved :rotfl:on the way out was pretty dangerous, i nearly caused an accident drooling at pizza hut, mcdonalds & pizza express on the way home
........I was SUPER good though!!! :j:T drove home and put on chicken nuggets for kids with carrot & mash waffles
! DH & I are having jacket potatoes which are in the oven! i'm starved but may as well wait now, and i feel all good and mse now :A
Need to check bank though.............i've had withdrawal symptoms not being able to check whilst at hospital :rotfl::rotfl:
oh and wrist not broken. Just bad sprain. Lots of calpol, nurofen whatever they gave me and he'll be right as rain!

So glad your little one is ok and well done on not caving in on expensive hospital vending machine food. Fab news about voucher - must feel great to have some of next christmas sorted before this one is here. I have today wrapped the 1st of my pressies. They are being delivered to my nan and uncle this weekend by my brother. Wish i could go too but would overwhelm her plus no money for extra petrol so will stay home for now.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Thursday!
Well it would have been a NSD BUT I saw an offer on groupon that i decided to take up ...£25 for a full head of colour, conditioning treatment, cut & finish :T so this is coming out of my christmas fund as is an early pressie to meand i always cut my own hair so thought it would be nice to have it straight just for xmas :rotfl:
No spends apart from that though. I had friends over this morning instead of going out for brekkie :money:....spent the afternoon cleaning, doing jobs & screaming at Husband (no darling about him). So I have a sore throat now, cramps, headache & can't be bothered doing dinner. Kids had soup and I think i will just have good ol' beans on toast later!
Got confirmation in the post of my new CCCS payments, my bank sits at £46 now so i really can't spend much else this month. <<<- somebody virtually slap me if i spend on un-needed things again pls!MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. I feel like i wasted their time at the hospital yesterdayhe is fine now! But at only 2 he doesn't speak brilliantly so i couldn't ask him how much/where it hurt and get a sensible answer so took him to get checked
! I also avoided hospital car park fees i parked out of the hospital where it was free and had a 10 min walk
I know how you feel about the petrol money situationi wanted to personally deliver my sisters pressies but have no money to get there this year
boooooooooooooooo!

Friday- at last.
So tired. Kids were up before dawn. again. so fed up of this. i put them back to bed. they got back out, so i put them back, so they got out, this went on until 6.30 when hubby alarm went offi was so tired i stayed in bed till 7.20 when hubby left
grrr! going to have to do something about these kids sleep patterns.
This morning am dropping a spotty daughter off to nursery and walking into town. Not sure why I am even contemplating doing this considering the mood i am in. It's a 25 min walk in the cold, so that means i only have an hour in town once i get there anyway. HMM. Need embroidery thread though, i can't finish my monkeys without it, and i want them finished. So that i can move onto bigger things. Such as where to put the christmas tree.
Bank has 2 pending transactions one in and one out. Thankfully both on monday, and the one going out is less than the one in ...
hubby and i had a spectacular row yesterday. Was worthy of an oscar on his behalf i thought (although he probably thought the same about me, and i did have a sore throat after) DD fell down the stairs, i couldn't grab her so i screamed for hubby..........he took that as me screaming at him that it was his fault and he needed to get there quick. He ignore my screaming, didn't even ask what was wrong, checked his computer and ambled out of the kitchen. To a crumpled up daughter & hysterical wife at the top of the stairs. She had caught her foot on the hoover lead, and was wearing stupid 'princess' shoes, and i had the hoover in the way and couldn't get to her in time. hubby told me it was my fault. so we rowed. I won't speak to him until he apologises, why on earth would i want my daughter to fall down the stairs. idiot man. She is fine, by the way. luckily she is made of sturdy stuff, and got up and walked away a little dazed if nothing else.
Then yesterday evening if i wasn't having a carp day already, some 'friend' msgs me on face book demanding to know if i have been saying to people not to talk to her, and that she has changed. !!!!!!? Why would i bother, we rarely speak anyway apart from the odd hello and how are you at nursery runs i'm certainly not going to go out of my way to play chinese whispers and stir up troubleso all in all, today HAS to be better than yesterday. It just has to. Or else I will be super upset and cry
Tomorrow is mediation day. Husband is at work, at last minute he tells me. Doesn't bother to find me a babysitter. That is my job. So i've had to go begging people to see if someone will have the 2 kids for 2 hours so i can go do 'my' thing otherwise i have to cancel because husband's job is all important and I am not ...
yep this is a very 'feeling sorry for myself' thread. Sorry. perhaps after another cuppa i will be more perkier and in a better mood (don't hold your breath though!)MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. It seems I still can't be trusted around shops
went into town, meaning to get embroidery thread have a wander round charity shops and go home. Well got thread by 9.20am.............then went and bought myself my moisturiser i had run out of (ok did need this) but instead of getting one for £9 i bought a xmas box set for £18 because it was a 'bargain' :wall::doh:which it was........but i didn't NEED the night cream nor the cleanser nor the face cloth. Hmph. Then went to charity shops spent around £10, then a fiver in claires acccessories
and i am now £40 lighter (or there abouts)
