Sorry to hear you still have a headache, they can be terrible. I occasionally suffer from aural migraines (visual migraines). This is where you see a white blind spot and zig zagging lights. These are a couple of the symptoms.
We have an artificial tree, although we do have a proper one about 12 feet high in the garden. Our tree is about 145 years old. The children think we should buy another one, although they want us to buy a fresh one. On the subject of fresh Christmas trees, I heard on Radio 4, the other day,(embarrassed listening to Radio 4), that because there have not been enough frosts the pine needles may drop off trees before Christmas.
I think we will stick to our old tree this year and we usually put it up a couple of weeks before Christmas. Can't afford a new tree. After all, I am trying to reduce my debt and not buy something I already have.
I hope your head will be clear when you read this and that you have a great week and some decent sleep!
:jhi bonnington, i wish i could say i had the energy of that avatar there doing jumping jacks lol but i've woken up with another headache. I'm thinking these are migrainesi used to suffer very badly years ago and then didn't have any for years, and now i fear they are back as they last days at a time and the light is hurting my eyes. My daughter banging on plastic drum kits does not help neither
My christmas tree was bought in woolworths years ago! I got it in the sale for £25 and it was reduced from £100+ it's a big thick one with pine cones on & is still bushy now even after cats & kids climbing up it :rotfl:Hi DFW
The potatoes should be fine so long as you don't let them freeze like we did last year, they go mushy when they've been frozen. We kept ours in the garage and the freezing temperatures last year ruined them. If yours are in the porch they should be fine, just throw a cover over them or under them when the temperatures plunge and they should be fine. They will start to sprout (seed) in the spring but you should have eaten them by then xxx
Thanks choo! Now to go get some at bulk price :T fed up of paying £2+ a week and we are still running out before the 7 days is up :eek:MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. I think i will still need to transfer money from savings for petrol at weekend but that is ok as i put extra in savings at beginning of month so i wouldn't spend it so technically that is petrol money budget as i know i haven't gone over on this

well finished shopping and it came in at £18 exactly. The extra money (budget was 15) was on ds1 advent calendar (£2) and kleenex tissues (£3 ) so i actually came in under budget :T
Am feeling very fed up today. Someone has been spreading a rumour that i have been slagging off a friendwhich i haven't been. what i did say was,' i don't really speak to her anymore or see her much.' this was turned into 'don't talk to her' in a mean way...if you see what i mean. I really am so fed up of the pettiness on this army estate sometimes it is unreal. I have to see these people everyday so thought i best patch it up. But i was so angry and hurt i ended up sending a msg on fb to the one we think has been spreading the gossip and twisting my words, and also the one it was supposed to be about (you still with me?) and i have probably made everything worse i should have just ignored it and forgotten about it. next week someone else will be the target
oh well done now. I have knots in my tummy and feel ill from stressing about it. Wish we were debt free. I'd save up to buy a house off this bl00dy place
!

I'm sorry to hear that you think you may have migraines again. That's terrible. Thankfully I don't really get them as such, just visual ones.
Look on the bright side with your bank account. It's in credit, yay!

:eek:I got a nice surprise this morning! My tax credits were paid in to my account :j
SO have transferred: £91 to car funds, £50 emergency funds, £10 to insurance funds, and £25 on to the post office card for car tax.
The rest of the money i have transferred into a savings account until dec 1st otherwise temptation is too strong to spend
I also made that sale on facebook, i turned up to their house and they handed over £12  even though we had agreed £15 before turning up! They looked in a pretty poor state though so i let them have it for £12 and free delivery and hope in turn i will get some good karma from this :rotfl:
I then went to the bank and took my change jar & £12 and now have £24 in my bank processing :T this will cover the talktalk dd due on on 25th.
NSD today. Shepherd's pie for dinner. Need to clean house. That's my lot for today!MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. EVENING all
Well i've listed more things on fb, we've about 6 local selling pages so i make an album up on my profile and make sure 'everyone' can see it & then post a link to each selling page. I always, hands down, make more money from selling through there than ebay! Have got around 15 things up for sale atm.
Also tonight i put 4 things on gum tree, never really used it before but hoping that may generate a sale or two (only listed a few as wasn't sure how busy that site gets???)
Am going to buy the panto tickets soon as i think all the dates wil probably get sold out .......christmas eve already gone and that was our first choice! just need to check budget and see what i can reign in to pay for it with!
Had a lovely evening walk tonight to try and wear the kids out. We got home and hubby & I flopped on couch and kids had a new burst of energy. Hmm. not really how i'd planned it to go lol!
Aiming for a nsd tomorrow too.......
