  • well i've woken up with a hangover head and i didn't drink yesterday  so going to hazard a guess that dd has given me her bug as well as ds giving me his. Such sharing caring children i have

I was going to go into town and watch the scouts/army cadets/guides/ whoever else takes part in the remembrance day parade. But i'm not dressed yet :o so maybe have to give it a miss!

DH has gone into work for a similar thing

I've found a whole cupboard of extra kit that dh has BOUGHT () and never even used!!! only bought because it's 'ally' and then thrown in a cupboard after either being used once, or not at all!!! So will ask him later what he NEEDS and try and sell the rest! He is now banned from that military shop near us :rotfl:!!

Have nearly run out of things to ebay :dance: that should clear my spare room a little (by spare, i mean the corner of ds1 room :o)

anyway need to get out today so thinking as it's not raining, park and hopefully a NSD!>!

Hope you feel better soon. I am too hoping for a NDS today. Have signed up for a free trial this morning with Lovefilm as they are offering a free £15 amazon voucher ( exactly what my sister wants for xmas). I am hoping that it is not a con, and have already put it in my diary to cancel in 25 days time to give me a chance to get it done before the month is up. Even if it all goes wrong i only pay £9.99 for the month so it would still save on the voucher :)

You mentioned about running out of things to sell on ebay. We've still got plenty but can't seem to shift it on ebay. :(

  • argh head still aching. I think i have worked out what is causing it though. Think it is the cold playing havoc with my sinuses as the achy bit is right where i had sinitus once before!

Just been to shops. I have around £40 to last till end of month on grocery budget now :rotfl:this should be fun!

    Shopping today:
Fruit & veg, juice, bread, cereal, potatoes, ham, diet cola, matches, yoghurts & popcorn/nuts. The sweet items weren't really on the list. BUT i had to bribe my children to shut up so popcorn it was. And nuts, well they kind of jumped in :p also had to get nappies so it should have been £28 for the shop but with nappies it was £34.89  still not too bad. If it lasts till next monday that means i only need the £40 to last a week and half which should be fine :)

Have been playing around with the budget for december. I think i will have an extra £200 to play with as rent is in from tenants in first week and the dmp isn't upping the payments until jan :T i asked dh what we should do with it. I.e put in emergency funds or use as extra for christmas. Of course he went with the xmas idea. So that is what we are doing with it! I also mentioned before that i'm not paying into the school fee fund next month. I think we now have enough in there to pay Jan's bill so i will use that £150 too towards xmas. This may all seem extravagent. But quite frankly, i don't care. I love christmas and even more so since ds1 has been away so much at school. We will now have money to take the kids out to panto, take them to the cinema etc and generally spoil them. :) Then come 2012 back to the frugal budget.

I've not had hardly any NSD this month :( I think i am failing because tis the season to be jolly, i [STRIKE]like[/STRIKE] love to spend at christmas time and am finding it super hard to be good. So i think putting more into the budget to spend is the way forward, so long as we get into no more debt, bills are paid and savings that need to be topped up, are done so!?! No sense in feeling guilty all the time about spending...........

Anyone think i'm bonkers and should actually save the extra £350 in the budget (£200 from tenants, £150 from school funds)

So next month: we will have £350 for groceries, £50 for alcohol, £100 for presents/ extra petrol fund, £80 eating out (think dh has said he will go to a party at work, and his family have also organised a get together without even consulting to see if we have money :wall:)

not much money in the current account, but that's because i keep transferring it out to emergency funds or my f&f pot! If i leave it in the current account I see it as money that has to be spent and the quicker the better :o hmm i guess i still need to work on a few old habits huh :o:whistle:

Hope everyone is having a lovely day :T
