  • Morning all :)

well i'm feeling much better this morning. no heart palpitations, or high blood pressure, nor the headaches so maybe the withdrawal symptoms of the medication have finally stopped (perhaps i shouldn't speak so soon lol) still waiting for other ones to kick in properly though so maybe this time next week i'll be back to my old self.

I got my first NSD yesterday i spent the whole day listing things on turbo lister (thanks to white iris for reminding me about that app) and am going to upload them to ebay this morning :)

Need to pop to pharmacy and asda today but want a lsd so not going to bring card with me! just need a few bits for ds1 for school and that's it then back home to sort out school bags! boring! hope everyone has a far more fun filled weekend than me!

pretty much it for me too. have been meaning all week to sort out dd's school bag so definately a job for today. Just got a letter from OH's insurance. We cancelled his policy about 2 weeks into it as truck now being sold. They are now charging us at least 4 months worth to cancel it £445 ish pounds that we dont have - they will have to wait. Feeling quite low as everyone just wants money that we dont have. I will get over it soon

  • morning all :)

I hope anyone reading has a nice cuppa in their hands as it's a long one today sorry ;)

slm i know exactly what you mean :( i feel like everything here all came round at once, dd & ds2 birthdays, holidays, car insurance, new car, car tax (due this month) ds1 phone being nicked blah blah, god i could whinge for england i could :o i hope you are feeling a little brighter soon about things. I had a look for your diary and saw that you had one but don't use it any more, do you have a new one?

I didn't do ds1 bag yesterday as he disappeared out with friends to have a water fight! So that is on today's agenda once i get my backside into gear already had 2 :coffee:and want to go back to bed (o.k half way through i went back to bed- headache too much with 3 noisy kids) not do jobs :rotfl: am feeling slightly under the weather at the mo, think it could be the change in weather (again!) have sore throat & cough & headaches.

I have been reading through some threads on here and 2 in particular have given me real inspiration :) one is called acts of random kindness (or something like that if you put those words in search forum bit it will find it) and you should all read it, i was crying through most of it!! Believe me though you will need tissues and another drink as there are lots of lovely heartwarming stories on there to restore anyone's faith in human nature :)

The other thread was about a lad on here that started a challenge not to spend anything all month unless it was a neccesity. what an inspiration!

Think i may have to take a leaf out of his book and try this myself! Perhaps not this month though as i have a birthday (hmmm actually maybe 2 need to check) and a party & ds going back to school tues but i think next month i will organise myself and try to do it too! We do have a little break away to norfolk for ds1 half term but it's only a few days and i will try and save the money for that this month!!

I am 'owed' my pocket money from the tax credits due on tuesday as i spent mine on another bill that had to be paid in cash....I will only take out £35 instead of £40 though because i bought a book on amazon for 99p and postage was £3  anyway it has arrived so i will start on that one this week. It is called the Power of Now. All about positive thinking. If you were to search my bookshelves i would say 10% at least are self help/ guide/ positive thinking type books. Dh would like to know why i'm still a misery :rotfl:even after reading them.

I need to take £50 out of the bank to give to ds1 housemistress for his pocket money for the term. Need to transfer that from his school fee fund as current account completely empty! I've also allowed him to sign up for music lessons which at £14 for a half hour, or £7 for a shared half hour are not cheap but he tells me he wants to join the school's marching band in yr 9 so i feel guilty for saying no to that. Just because DH and I have got ourselves into financial bother shouldn't mean the kids go without :( but still another expense to be budgeted for

Food is lasting well on the shop we did last week, we may need bread half way through the week but I do have bread mixture & yeast in so i should really make it myself :o hmmm

Can't think of what else needs to be paid for this month, head full of aches :rotfl:

As for weigh in I will do that next friday now as then i have given myself a week and bit to get back to normal eating etc after the holiday ;). I have to say since starting new tablets and stopping old ones my appetite has decreased by half  it is now pretty much a normal healthy 3 square meal a day appetite! It's amazing how a tablet can make you so hungry what on earth do they put in them to do that to you????

I still need to get under bed to sort out gifts, will have to do that soon as need to find something for MIL as it is her birthday soon. All kids pressies are in the wardrobe so can find something there for other birthday which i think is right at the end of this month and not october (will check!!!)

Plans for next week are to finish organising school bits tomorrow, pack car up and Tuesday drop DD off for her 1st day at nursery :) and then pop to london to take an old car seat to a friend (selling for £25, but i feel kinda bad taking the money off her so may just give it for petrol there) and then onto Dover to take ds1 to school. LONG day on tues, so think wed i may just have a rest day ;) as once we're all settled into routine again i plan on visiting the fly lady's thread and deep cleaning the entire house!!!!! :rotfl:

anyways enough boring rambles for now :) hope everyone has a great sunday!! :A

Hi there glad things are getting back to normal for you. I wish i had a reason for over eating and i could change it - i just over eat full stop!

I see so many similarities in our lives, such as the need to get house decluttered and kids into a routein asap. You are right i do seem to have stopped using my diary and really should get back on track with it. I think i have been using your diary too much as my own. I will update mine in a little while :)

well am trying to clean up today i really couldn't bare the mess anymore  I'm full of cold too so will just keep myself dosed up and try and get an early night!

Have got little uns dressed and put their wellies & jumpers on so they are happy playing in the garden for the mo whilst i do the beds upstairs and just have a quick general tidy up.

Did ds1 bag last night, ironed & sewed all name tags on. Sent dh to a$da this morning to get out £110. £50 transferred from ds1 school fee fund for his school pocket money. £35 of my pocket money and £25 for dh pocket money that we were owed. I asked dh to get ds1 a c.d to take with him too now 79 or whatever it is atm lol :rotfl: so that is coming out of my pocket money!

Anyway best get on and clean...i had nsd 2 here yesterday so all good :)

:T i've been over to say hi lol :rotfl:

I also did our bedroom this morning how strange! You couldn't get to the window nor the wardrobe for love nor money if you had tried haha. DH is useless at putting his clothes away so he had 4 yes FOUR wash baskets of clothes on his side of the bed waiting to be put away. So muggings here did it  he also had a bag that still was not unpacked from afghan :eek: he got back months ago lazy g1t!!! grrr so it's nice and clean in there now -oh and i have to add i have hoovered and polished in those months in between pmsl i just kept putting his stuff back in place after hoovering under it hoping he would get the hint........seems not! DH also needs new fat man clothes. He used to be a 32 waist when i met him just the other day he had to change work trousers for a 38 :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: he tells me it is all muscle :silenced::whistle: i'm saying nothing haha!

  • well dd has gone to nursery, neither of us cried, but I can't stop clock watching!!!! I'm desperate to go get her to see how she got on!

Car is all packed up ready to go to london then dover. Mum is going to have ds2 & dd whilst i drop off ds1 at school. I'm also selling an old car seat to a friend in london so will drop that at same time. The money though i'm not sure what to do with, we're tight this month but i'm thinking of giving it to mum to get herself something nice. She's been a bit down lately so it will be nice for her to have a treat. It's only £25 but when you have nothing (as me and her are both in same boat financially) it is a lot to us!

Am going to get dd at 12 then leave to go to london straight away. Will order a quick pizza i think at mums so ds1 is fed before starting school this evening. I can't believe that he is already in yr8 where on earth does the time go. I still remember his very first day at nursery and he was so happy to be going in! He'd asked me since he was 2 if he could go to big school lol. Now of cuorse he hates school as most teens do ;) no pleasing some eh!

Money wise i have taken cash from entertainment budget to pay for pizza. Nursery is free now so no fees (yey) petrol already in car, just need money for toll on way there and back. Hmmmm oh yes and need mobile top up for ds1 but have cash as that is in budget. So aside from pizza i'm hoping for a minimal spend day!!!

Be back tomorrow with news on how ds1 settled in! He will be in charge of a new boy this year as he's older....how odd! My son being in charge of someone else hmmm i expect that to be a challenge for him lol
