oh how strange i was over in your diary saying hello whilst you popped in here :rotfl:i definitely find the mornings easier with only one little one to look after now. I can tidy and keep an eye on him, with the little princess around (as she has taken to calling herself) i have to have two of me to follow both of them round lol

Well today has turned into an admin day, have been on the cccs online and made sure they had correct figures for all my debts on there. Was happy that i got to take £300 off one that we had originally over estimated :j however as i went down the list that £300 (and then some) was lost to other debts that had charged us an arm and a leg in charges! C'est la vie!
Am going to call talk talk in a mo and see if i can reduce my package, i feel i am paying rather a lot for my landline, considering i rarely use it! And i can always get my mum/sister/friend to call me as they are on free packages during the day...well so am i actually...but i want to save money and i rarely use it so surely it's not too cheeky to ask them to ring me instead
Also got hubby to call Aqua as they have nicely () decided to put on interest again. So we pay £20 say and they charge us £30 so we aren't even paying the interest off never mind the actual debt! They were very unhelpful anyway, and so we've had to call the cccs in to help us with this one.
:T
edited to say: Now have cancelled the HD subscription on my sky package so saved just over a tenner a month :T
Also reduced my talk talk to basic landline/internet which is £12 a month so saved nearly £20 a month :T
So in two phone calls we've saved £30 per month yey! Might have to do a new SOA for myself soon to see if i can make any more savings/cut backs and also if i can afford to pay more to the CCCS to get down these debts any quicker!MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. Tuesday
My little princess went off to nursery no tears again today  think we may have this one cracked now (nothing to do with all the peppa pig stickers the teachers use to bribe her with, lol nothing at all) it means my mornings are a little more productive this week now I don't worry constantly about whether she is settling.
For example this morning i went to my friends house for a cuppa and got to natter away without giving dd a second thought (last week i sat there nearly in tears!) :rotfl:yes anyway back to the productive side of things, i am making the most of the gald force winds and hanging all my washing out to dry :T hopefully this will last till next pay day when i can buy a clothes horse if we have enough spare pennies. Have also cleaned downstairs and hoovered. Need to do upstairs but my back is killing me so i don't want to carry the hoover up and make it worse, will wait till hubby back so he can do that for me. Have cleaned all the garden toys and ready to put in the garage for the winter. Might hold off on a few for now though as the sun keeps coming back out!
The money i made on ebay has gone on a new inner tube for my double pram ...so I didn't have to fork out for that at least. Next target is to make £15 so i can buy a new raincover (one last year got totally ripped so is RIP in the bin!)
Oh actually i need to post those items out :whistle:completely forgot about exchange of money for actual goods there. Hmmm will do that tonight! Only have 5 parcels maybe so not too much. Will post on the school run tomorrow.
Am going to pick up dd and use the free community computer with printer so i can get me some of these vouchers on here (only found the thread last night!!) saves me buying inkjust yet anyway!
Must go anyway DS2 drawing on the wall AGAIN!MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Have been on the couch most of the day with a sore tummy so spent that time reading lots on the net about re-claiming bank charges and think i may give it a go, i've nothing to lose and potentially i could get £100's back which will help get the debt down quicker...
Also re-did my budget and decided to factor in christmas over the year, birthday presents & holidays etc. It worked out that without tenants in my house i would be £117 into the red every month :rotfl:hmmm, but with tenants i would break even. Even better would be my dad decides to take my house off my hands for meno more mortgage and stress from it, and i still break even because i won't have the mortgage to pay :T
But back to reality. So i paid for my car insurance in a oner, xmas this year is nearly paid for so i think i would like to start putting money aside every month now for both of those things so it doesn't come up as a big surprise! I can't always rely on a bonus from DH (of which i don't think there are any more due for a long time anyway) so am going to have to take the budgeting to another level (for me anyways, you normal folk probably do all this anyway) :rotfl:
Also have done all my surveys (didn't qualify for a lot thougham starting to lose heart!) and updated my profiles on them. Will see if i get any more suitable ones through.
DH is making hm pizzathankfully, as i really am so tired from DD & DS waking up at all hours last night (in fact all week) that i can barely stand up never mind make a dinner!
Oh and i have a little mystery my bank account has been charged with 2 transactions to itunes in the last few weeks, i don't have an iphone or ipod but ds1 and dh does. How can i find out who has been charging my account? Have sneaky suspicion it is ds but both have denied it !

Wednesday
Well the bank account isn't looking too healthy:o i think it must be the extra presents i have bought, and also DH bill at work because i have bills due out and only just enough to cover them
Today I have taken DD to nursery & picked her up, printed off some coupons (not on my printer :money:) and had a trip to Te$co. £40 later :eek: I came out with 4 boxes of honey shreddies for free :rotfl:(hope kids like them!) a toy for ds2 christmas pile, new pants for DH & £22 worth of shopping! For which i didn't really get much  so may have to look through the bills...!
Also posted off my ebay items this morning (slap on wrist should have done this mon/tues) and bought car tax which is due end of month :T:T This is the first time EVER that i have bought car tax early!!! I had enough in the saving card (post office card) so thought i may as well whilst i was there!
House is a tip again. Seriously i give up.
Stew for dinner, need to get that on, also want to go to zumba tonight so waiting to see if dh will be home form work on time! Am also re-listing items on ebay and have one bid alreadyonly 99p but not a loss and it's out of my house lol so win-win!
Hope everyone is having a good week (quiet on here, where are you all!)dfw

still here
well done on the car tax and the vouchers and the free cereal. i think i am addicted to it now. got another few cans of soup free today. went to the car boot as friend needed some bits. only spent £3 but i wasnt looking for anything so could have done without them. Never mind i could have been a lot worse.
Mum bought DD a walker the other day and she is currently exploring all those places you dont want her to. We have been a bit relaxed about moving stuff out of way as DS is obviously old enough to be allowed bits on table. LO is now removing dished and cups with juice in onto the floor and finding it very amusing.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

oooooh my silly computer keeps deleting my replies......3rd time lucky!
Last night I had my first go at zumba! I loved it! I wasn't very good lol but it was fun nonetheless! Will have to see if they do it anywhere nearer and a little cheaper though, £5 a class is a little expensive i think!
Kids loved the free cerealgood job seeing as though i had 4 boxes worth :rotfl:
Am off on the school run today, should be a little more fun from now on as one of my friend's little ones starts nursery today so we are going to walk together (may distract dd from remembering where she is going too!)
Have already done two washes this morning, dishwasher is on, tumble drier is on (not very Money saving but it's a duvet so would take forever to dry outside!) stew in on in the slow cooker, and hoping there will be 2 portions out of it at least! Also hoovered all of downstairs apart from living room where kids have most of the toys strewn all over the floor currrently (a job for later me thinks!)
Breakfast this morning with the girls but not sure i want any, not much money left from pocket money and i'd rather save it. They do free tea though lol so i'll have that instead
Hoping to get some more vouchers to print off for cereal so when i do my shopping next week i can get a few more boxes :T already checked bank, £30 left in it  at least the DD due has gone out now so i know that £30 should last until tax credits are due next week! Hopefully we have enough food in now, if not it will be cereal for breakfast, lunch and i may be able to stretch to soup for dinner :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

lol yes that cereal certainly hit the spot, ds2 was asking for some when we got back in from our morning out
I know i said i only had £30 to live on.........BUT (always a but huh) argo$ have their 3 for 2 sale on at the moment so i have reserved £90 worth of toys (6 toys) and only have to pay £60 :T so i have just been onto my online bank and raided another savings account(with promises to pay it back!)
This now means that I have ALL of the two little ones christmas toys :T:xmastree::rudolf::xmassmile:xmassign::santa2::snow_laug:snow_grin :j
And next month if i have enough money I will pay for ds1 birthday present (again) and then End of October i can get ds1 last christmas present (only getting him a dvd to go with his new dvd/tv and £10 itunes card...so £20 tops!) and i am giving him £50 to spend in the sales so technically i don't have to give that to him until end of dec
Feeling very smug with myself now thoughthis is the earliest EVER that i have paid off christmas! AND Without a card, without a loan, without an overdraft :j!!!! :A *slinks off to polish halo*

well done on paying for xmas so early. i am still working my way through pressies slowly! As long as you pay back the savings it makes sense to get gifts while they are cheaper.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19
