  • Just picked up the pressies :) and i have LOTS for both little ones so very happy :D I thought this year what with being on a dmp and no credit available to me (this is what usually pays for xmas. tut tut!) i'd only be able to afford a meagre amount.

But, I'm very happy :) as....

DD now has in her pile, a Dolls house (half price in sale) with all furniture & people in. A dora laptop (boot fair £4), lots of clothes all in sales, lots of books all in sales, lots of stocking fillers, a barbie doll head that you style, a guitar, some girly make up bits and a few other toys that have escaped my mind at the mo ...hmm.....

DS2 has a guitar, a work bench, a monster (reduced by £100!) which walks and talks, a chuggin.ton remote control train, lots of clothes again from sales/offers, books, and they both have a c.d player (kids one) with microphone to share :)

DS1 has his t.v, some new trainer shoes things, a wallet, books, and a few stocking fillers. He will get his £50 for the sales and the few other bits i mentioned earlier and that's it. I'd rather him have a few presents to open on the day and cash to be honest as he's at that age now where he hates everything i choose :rolls eyes: lol

Think we are going to say to adults in family that this year we aren't buying for them (but i will prob get them a small token gift anyway) and i have all the kids pressies sorted. SO by my calculations xmas this year has come in under £600 for 3 kids, 1 husband, 7 nieces and nephews, a few friends kids, & 2 mums :) much cheaper than last year! And to be honest i think i actually have more, just goes to show what a bit of bargain hunting can achieve!

On other news, DH has decided we may be staying put and not moving to Germany, he wants to try out for a new job. But he needs to prepare for it so it means 2 x a day in the gym as well as the stupid job he does at the mo, means all hours out of the house *sigh* I know better than to argue though!

Stew smells yummy :D and def enough for at least 2 portions so that will be another meal in the freeezer! Off to feed the kids soon as they are having a VERY early night!!! (both cranky). Also i may be going for a run so need them in bed as they will play dh up otherwise!

    Ciao :)

  • (TGI) Friday

Am so tired today. Could actually sleep sitting up i think. Have weighed myself and lost 1lb i think.....to be honest what with the kids trying to jump on with me i'm not sure if it got a little confused. I may have to weigh in again after the school run when i only have one child to fend off the wii board! That's if the batteries last that long, ds is trying to send morse code via the little blue light on it currently!

The stew is in the fridge decided we can have it tonight as hubby not here, he's got to work.

Have also decided i must have one of the naughtiest little boys ever. He found a permanent marker and marked the NEW table in the kitchen. All down one leg, and on one of the corners on top is Black marker. I am so unsurprised though, he is always doing things like this! He has also coloured in one side of my wall by the stairs. this time red wax crayon. The type that doesn't come off. And i tell him off and he runs at me (ok literally charges at me) and bITES me!! what the heck!!! Crazy child. Crazy naughty child!!!!

Hoping for a NSD today, don't need anything so should be easy. Weather isn't looking too nice here at the min so hoping it will brighten up a bit, two kids stuck in the house all afternoon leads to trouble!

Omg, speaking of my naughty child. He has dragged a chair to the cupboard under the stairs in an attempt to open the lock we put on. Think i best go supervise, Thomas the tank is not doing his job very well this morning :rotfl:he only has one child under control!

  • Ok so i ended up spending today. I must make a mental note to myself, if i don't need anything, do NOT check the grabbit boards!!!

I went to Asd@ and got an Itune voucher for ds1 for xmas, was £19 for a £25 one! had to get it as it was such a bargain :D ALSO got 9 box of babay wipes for £3.50 (pampers) which by my calculation works out at less than 40p a pack  so i had to clear the shelves for them....luckily for my bank balance someone had nearly beaten me to that and there were only 2 boxes left! So i now have 18 packs of baby wipes for £7 which should last a fair while :T

Also picked up 2 for £2 crisps, some rosy apples (Mmmmmmmm yum yum) and Diet cola ....can't tell that i am exhausted huh with the sugar cravings :o it only came to £3.86 so not too bad. Will add £10.86 to my grocery challenge total when i can be bothered to work it out :D

Hope everyone in diary land is keeping well, lots of my subscribed diaries that i read are hardly touched anymore, I guess others (unlike me) have lives outside of the home :rotfl::rotfl:

Hi just a quick hello again from me and i hope the LO's calm down a little for you and you get to relax a little. I have thought about just buying for family kids this year but think its a little unfair as we have 3 kids and all others up to 2 some have non. I know it shouldnt be about amount spent but i would feel bad if all my side of the family bought them gifts and i didnt buy anything as they dont have kids. Would still really like to do this though. Maybe i will have another think

  • Some good news for me today, money wise, :D just had a phone call and my house has two new people interested. Both students. And both willing to pay 6 months up front! If that happened i would be one very happy DFW :D And it is for £25 more than i was already getting with last tenants! Just need to wait and see what happens now!

  • Morning :) well so much for a lay in on a saturday, kids were up at 5.30! Luckily for me i was so tired last night i went to bed at 7pm and was fast asleep within 2 mins lol, so feeling much better than i was yesterday!

I'm hoping to hear from the management agency soon regarding my house and whether it has all gone through ok....they can't move in until the end of the month anyway as my current tenants don't move out until then so i doubt i will see the money anytime this month...

I ordered DS1 a new mobile phone, his birthday is next month and i felt so guilty that he had only had his other one 2-3 weeks when it was stolen :( so i'm down another £150...this means that all of my savings accounts are depleted now so really hoping the bonus due this month is enough to recover most of them back to where they were! Guess on the upside I have no more expense for christmas looming over me! which means my grocery budget for december can go up a bit ;) after all it is the festive season!

Today i am planning on doing nothing! I may take the kids to the zoo's soft play bit if they drive me totally insane but otherwise i just want to mooch around the house in p.j's i am feeling SO tired (even after a marathon sleep lol)

i hope you enjoy a nice relaxing day. OH's alarms woke me from 5.50 this morning - not happy and he is still unsure why i was shouting at him everytime it went off. He is still in bed as i am typing. Anyway enough grumbling from me, must get ready for DD's swimming and then get back to housework :)

  • :rotfl:well i've punished my two little ones for waking me, they are doing my washing up! *ahem* that's not exactly how it was, more likely they pulled a chair over, put the plug in, turned taps on, flood kitchen, and I come down to find them washing buzz and woody :rolls eyes: :doh:but never mind, toys away, i put the washing up in front of them, they seem just as happy :D :rotfl:
