My upstairs was sparkling now it's a dump cos of dust etc grr!

I am suffering from EXTREME pmt :( just want to cry and scream and shout all at once. My poor kids :( hoping it goes by holiday time!

Spend day again here although a LSD one on wine and chocolate :o although think i may have made another £14 on fb sales of old clothes :T just waiting for emails bk. My laptop is driving me to bl**dy insanity it is so slow so i think i need to clean it (best ask dh i'm not techy enough to know what i'm doing) annoying me though :mad:

  • Thanks slm :)

I'm all ready to go but waiting for a wash to finish atm, didn't want smelly damp/wet towels clothes etc hanging around the house in this heat so doing a quick wash and going to hang it around house to dry! Kids had a water fight yesterday so mud and water all over everything lol!

DH being a moody git as per his usual self so think i might just have to spend the entire holiday ignoring his moods so i can have a good time. Will be doing some serious thinking about it too, i hate being married to a moody selfish person that is away most of the time anyway and when he is home all he does lately is make my life miserable! SO will see how he is on hols but not holding my breath for any sign of change!

Have spent £120 of holiday money already  £86 topping up petrol and the rest on some books for us to read, and food/toiletries for the hols. I don't usually buy new books anymore but thought i would treat us all :) i got the new dawn french book hoping it will cheer me up!

Anyway hope everyone has a fab few weeks. We are forecast rain for the next 5 days oh joy! if we had stayed put at home we had brilliant sunshine from monday !!! never mind!

  • :T hello diary!

I've missed writing down my mumblings....so have instead taken to talking to myself and people thinking i'm even more barmy than they originally thought :o

I'm still on holiday in Wales (Rainy, wet & windy wales that is!) and we've blown all budgets, savings and so forth out the window! :o:o

DH is due his four yr retention bonus in this pay pack so i hope it is enough to cover at least most of our spendings as the school fees and car tax are also due in september !!!

I will be back to home on Sunday evening to get everything ready for the new school term and bringing ds1 back to school, also need to sort out dd wardrobe as luck would have it (OR NOT) she has had a growth spurt - all you need when you have no money!

Sooo anyway just a flitting hello and goodbye from me i'lll be back soon and promise to visit more often and get back on track and also challenges (they seem to keep me on the straight and narrow!!!) :D

Hope everyone has enjoyed their hols and wohoo only 1 and half weeks till new school term :j:j yeyeyeyeyey!!!! :D

great to hear from you. like you i am very happy kids going back to nursery and school soon. enjoy the last few days of your holidays :)

  • Well the holidays are over for us, DH is back at work tomorrow and DS1 back at school next Tuesday, and DD off to nursery every morning from next Tues also  feeling a little apprehensive about that one! She is not happy at the idea and although i was hurrying this moment along in my mind so i could have a break now it comes down to it i am actually quite sad to be seeing her off :(

Well money wise, we spent around £1400 in all (maybe a little less that is a bit of a guesstimate) for the holiday & petrol etc, so over budget by £400 :o

I had to 'borrow' money from school fees fund and also another savigns fund for insurances :o

DH is due his bonus and it is all going back into getting them up to where they should be! And hopefully we will have a few hundred left over to add to the savings!

Have done a huge HUGE shop today  spent £320 in the wholesalers, have got meat for the month ( i hope is enough anyway) veg,. fruit, bulk rice, pasta, bleach, toilet rolls, and other bits and bobs. Also have done a meal planner for the next two weeks so have enough juice, milk & bread in i hope to last! we shall see though lol

I wanted to do the grocery challenge this month but as i buy in bulk every few months i have a few very spendy months hmm i think what i shall say is that aside from that bulk buy i would like to spend £250 this month. SO £70 was spent in a$da so until our next pay day we have £180 left!

I am also back on the diet :o unsure how much i weigh and don't even want to look if i am honest. EVERYthing is tight though so def have put on!!

DH is in a better mood now after i threatened to leave him one day in to our holiday :rotfl: but still not brilliant. Men are so good at not talking! they should compete for the olympics at it, dh would win hands down

anyways so my targets for this month:

    September:
    grocery budget 70/250
    weight loss 0/6 lb
savings 0/2000 (big one i know determined dh won't waste the bonus though)
try and keep track of spending !!!
make a proper list of what i have for everyone for christmas and work out what else i need EXACTLY! really need to stop guesstimating!

I hope everyone has had a fabby summer even if the weather was rubbish! will try and catch up on diaries over the next few days :)

glad you have had a good time and are ready to start again. I too have also spent a lot at Mr A's today and have managed to get a lot of bits for the amount i paid. Also bought myself a pair of jeans in the sale as all my others are worn through (feel guilty even though they were only £10).

I am sure you will get your savings back up to correct levels soon and be back on track. Look forward to reading your journey :)

Aww thanks slm :o it's nice to know a few people read and can relate to my moans & worries lol

I feel guilty also if i spend a tenner on jeans :rotfl:how hard up must we both be :rotfl: my last pair was £2.50 in the charity shop ;) and i was debating whether or not that was expensive :think:!!

How is everything your end slm? have you found a way through yet without resorting down the dmp route?
