hi i hope today is going a little better for you. Just an idea have you tried printing vouchers off, using this site and many others. There is a thread somewhere which i have been reading for the past few days. Nothing like the extreme couponing that is available in the USA (google it and be very envious or if you have sky its on a monday night on discovery realtime) but it might save a few pennies on bits and pieces. Cant put a link as no good at that but sure you are clever than me at things like thatMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Afternoon
Abba- phone wasn't insured as was paygdh tried to claim on his kit insurance and they told him he wasn't covered ...
it was kinda my fault too so i feel obliged to buy a new one now for him for his birthdya next month. poor lad didn't even get to use it up to his b-day! We were in the restaurant and i told him i had picked it up when clearly i hadn't so told him not to go back to table. anyway got to caravan (5 mins away) found didn't have it, called restaurant straight away and they checked, someone had had it in those 5 mins we were gone. and thing was it wasn't all that busy so was either staff, or one of 2 tables that were there
totally gutted!
Slm- i keep meaning to get new ink for my printer as it's totally out and keep forgetting *doh* will make this a priority now i think as seen loads of vouchers i could have printed off to buy things cheaper! I went to shops today and spent £200:o £135 in primark alone:eek: got a lot for my money though out of that £200 got, DD 4 pairs of tights, 3 pairs of leggings, 2 cardis, one jumper, pair of ear muffs (she already has coat, scarves and gloves from last year). DS1 i got him pants, socks, 2 pairs of jeans and a jumper, ds2, 2 pairs of trousers, 2 sweaters, one really thick warm fluffy cardi (wanted one for myself!) a pair of trainers, wellies, a coat and i also got myself 6 pairs of tights/ socks. 3 pairs of p.j's (in fat woman size
) and a few other bits and bobs that i can't recall off hand. so i think i did quite well! The kids all have enough clothes now i hope to last through till spring, plus obviously they have some in their xmas pressies. I don't have much but i want to see if these tablets work and i stop putting on weight and perhaps lose a bit .....horrible buying clothes when you don't know what size you are going to be in a month's time
(let's hope not fatter )
When i got back i had to have a nap as was exhausted i think that is the sudden stopping of the other tablets tbh as it happened once before when i forgot to take them a few days. Also had severe headaches all day so hoping to feel a bit better tomorrow. would just love to hand the kids to someone and say i'm back off to bed for a dvd day! :rotfl:

Hi DFW,
Been a while since I have been on what with mad end of school year and honeymoon and I feel so far behind with your diary!
Sorry you feel a bit rotten at the moment but not long until the kids are back to school (unfortunately for me, that means back to work) and its a new month so a shiney, new start to be made (I treat each month/term/half-term/anything else that suits as the beginning of a new chapter - bit like a new year!). Try to focus on the positives - you are not spiralling further into debt so even if you feel that its a long journey at least you have started it, rather than living in ignorance.
Hope you feel better soon,

Morning all,
HELLO to Walby (can't be bothered to find waving man so shouted it to you instead lol)...I hope you are enjoying married life, and yep i always see the beginning of sept as a new start more so than jan 1st i think! I'm trying to stay positive but stopping my old medicine so suddenly has sent me a bit doo lally to say the least. I feel dizzy, sick, heart palpitations & headaches etc and have the kids screaming for attention and it is all getting a bit muchhoping the withdrawals don't last much longer and the new ones kick in quick
DH needs £50 for a battery bill (work thing) so i had to find money for thatso have given it to him out of grocery budget which i will replace if we have enough money from tax credits int he last week. Hoping i hear from my management agency ref my house as really need tenancy money now so i can top up savings (i won't fritter it!) i'll feel better once we have the savings to where it was and perhaps have a bit left over to do the car (needs a service)
DH new job at work this year is driver of one of his bosses which he isn't liking yet but i am tbh as he drops him off in morning and then can pop back home for a few hours, which means i get help/company/break before he needs to go back out to collect him etc for lunch. It is a pretty easy / boring job but means quick promotion! Talking of which he has been doing the job 2 days and has already been told he will get to finish his jumps course (parachute) meaning he will get back pay of £200 a month from when he first started the course over a year ago- i'm not counting on this though as i've done this type of thing too many times then things go wrong and we don't get it etc....but would be nice if he did get it. ALSO he has requested the move to a regiment in Germany......so it's just a waiting game now to see what happens!
Hoping for a NSD today. But i do need a few bits for ds1 for school so depends on if i can be bothered to go get them today!Anyway unfortunately my clothes won't walk out of the washing machine and hang themselves and likewise the kitchen & living room won't clean themselves (how rude) so i best go and do some work! xxMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. Well i've paid the school fees, and the tenancy money has gone in so good news
i've transferred £400 straight into my emergency fund so i again have £1400 in there - 1 month's wages
I will get xmas paid for next, and car service before attempting to save 2 months wages.
I've hung out washing and tidied a bit but am utterly exhausted think to do with tabs again that i stopped so i think i will take it easy today and just do little and often. Need to get under bed and sort out pressies under there then i've finished compiling list of them lol, have done all the ones in the wardrobe so far and have decided ds1 has enough (less than others but far more expensive!) am going to get him some stocking fillers now and if he needs closer the time i will buy them and wrap those tooi will also give him some cash for sales rather than buy stuff just so he has something to open. Need to see if ds2 and dd have other stuff under bed. But i think ds2 needs a few more bits to equal what dd has! So easy buying for girls!! Anyway think that may be a job for when ds1 has gone back to school so i can use his bed to put it all on
and sort it out slowly and properly!
Gosh i really do ramble don't I, sorry if i'm boring to read lol, anyway another cup of tea & some biccies are calling my nameMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. Good news on the tenancy money. And as for the housework - you have already done more than I have! Became Mrs W in 2011:smileyhea Blessed with Baby boy 1 in 2013, Baby boy 2 in 2016 and Baby boy 3 in 2018 :smileyheaDebt @ 19/8/11 [STRIKE]£20,060 [/STRIKE] current £0Paid off 100% :dance:0 -
