Wednesday
WOW i can't believe it is wednesday already, this week seem to be flying by....had a NSD today and also started on my major de-clutter of the house! I did the living room today (well most of it only one cupboard to go and most of that is ok) I emptied out my welsh dresser (omg do you know how much carp one of these things can hold
) 3 hours, 3 bin bags/recycling bags later!!!!!!! and i have a nice sparkly clean and organised cupboard....will tell DH is he DARES to mess it up  (i know it was him last time and he blamed the kids!!) i will personally sit there and watch him do the job!
Also managed to de-clutter one kitchen cupboard because i had emptied out a shelf of it to go in the dresser where it belonged! So next on my list is kids room :think: totally NOT looking forward to that one lol!
I have tonnes of books in the house, i'm not quite sure why i never noticed this before  perhaps i was in denial lol :rotfl::whistle: AND i don't really want to throw them all out :undecided so i don't really know what to do with them! If i leave them out the little ones ruin them, and tbh they now all look messy cos of thisI have lots of kids books from DS1 that i will keep as otherwise i will have to buy them all again when it comes to ds2 and dd wanting some books (lots of all ages too!) so i am thinking some sort of plastic storage boxes....does anyone know the best way to store books ???
C.D's i have come up with an idea  am thinking if I buy a hard drive with lots of storage i can then put all our music on there and get rid of ALL our c;d's we don't have a player anyway as it broke and my new radio only has an ipod docking station and radio?! then i should be able to sell to music magpie and charity shop the rest? ANyone else done this??? I'm a little worried that the music might get lost on the hard drive or it might break (i'm not very technical though so don't know how likely that is?)
And dvd's i'm going to be harsh and go through our HUGE collection and get rid of stuff that was REALLY bad (prob why it was cheap :rotfl:) so we have a bit more room in the cupboard!!! Hmmm what else can i get rid of! I am going to work on my room last as i dread going through my wardrobe  you never quite know what you might find!!! (everything gets thrown in there if there is no home for it!) :rotfl:
Anyway tonight i am going to chill out and try and get an early night. I haven't decided if i'm going to go brekkie in morning, i dont really have the money this month! Very poor after buying all those xmas pressies! OOOh and i also got a few more last night & ds1 birthday pressie which is in october! Although he is getting it as soon as it comes as he broke his last one (phone) so no pressie for him in october......although i'm sure i can find some small inexpensive bits so he has something to open
Anyway enough rambles from me! Off to get kids ready for bed! I need an early night, therefore so do theyMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. hiya over here .. your diary is one of the ones i read alot
Ive not long used music magpie, sent off a load of dvd's and cd's which I copied on to the computer - its easy once you get the hang of it and im not very technical! you dont get a lot of money per cd/dvd i was averaging 30p but its better than nothing and it all goes into the saving pot. Im just waiting fo rmy cheqes to come through which will be any day now. It was really easy service to use and i will be sending more cd's off as have loads and loads that i havent listened to in years. Also i found that the book shop at my local market will give me £1 for every book they can sell so will be taking a load down there to see what i can offload as books are my biggest downfall!! though were i find the time to read them i'll never know lol

Hi welshy
oh wow you can put dvd's on to the hard drive!!!!!!!! why did i not know this too....lol
Right that settles it thenDH will be so happy i have jobs for him to do over the summer
(NOT) after all he will go from being super busy to doing nothing for 5 weeks...now who wants that huh (mememememe)
And all can go off to music magpie wohoo! Also didn't know they bought dvd's:o really need to get up to date on this techy stuff
As for my books...I have been collecting since i was around 15 and first got into buying my own from the local bookstores (second hand :money:) and charity shops! So between hubby and me we prob have around 600 left (not counting uni books, and ds books) AND this is after a huge clear out i had before i moved here whoops! DS told me he doesn't want any more books bought he wants a kindle and all his books on there. One day we won't have any c.d's, dvd's, blu rays, books or anything just one gadget to store all of it on hmmm how boring would that be
Abba i don't think i will be doing a boot fair so best find somewhere else to get rid of iti can get up for 9am to wander round them but the 5am start time is just too much for me :rotfl::rotfl:

have been out for brekkie and back again and need to go back out again in an hour
am still receiveing threatening letters from Np*wer regarding a bl**dy bill that isn't mine :mad: SO am going to my welfare coffee afternoon to speak to someone! I don't usually go as it's full of clique stuck up cows (wish our reg was a nicer lot!) if you're not a saergant's wife or above you can basically 'jog on' in their books  oh well!
So this morning spent £8 on brekkie for everyone, had free tea which was foul (already made and stagnant bleurgh) and went to use the hive computers to save my printer :money:and got confirmation for my holiday, weekend away and also DS1 confirmation for his rugby on mondaysaved me buying an ink cartridge
Missed a parcel this morning and think it was DS1 phone so he isn't happy lol. never mind will have to get it tomorrow now as you have to leave it 24 hours before collecting! Also waiting on a few other parcels to come through toofeel like all i have done is internet shop this last week and deplete the holiday savings fund
am going to check bank again in a mo and see if the tenancy money has gone in so i can nudge saving up a bit!
Anyway nothing new here apart from that so best be off to do some jobs before i need to pop back out again!MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06.
