YEY off to get DS1 from school today can't wait! This term has gone so quickly I haven't missed him as much as I usually do, perhaps because he's settled better as well, so I know he's happy & with mates and playing rather than crying to me he wants to come home?!
Can't believe he has only 4 weeks left and he will be a year 8he's growing up too quickly, I still remember his first day at reception
Anyway before I start crying (wrong time of month haha everything sets me off) i've finished all the other little jobs except the post office run, but as I have to drive out to the large depot i'll do that on way to get DS. I've received yet more bills for 2 doors down (not sure if i put on here about them before) but from npower for over a grand for the gas and electric!:eek::eek:!!!
These obviously aren't my bills, we've paid ours by direct debit, AND are not even with npower!!! grrrrrrrr! SO have found a 'prove it' letter to send them today, as they have told ME to prove i didn't live there, and i've since found out (on here of course :money:) that it is the other way round, if they expect me to pay they should prove i lived there....which of course i never have...that house is especially allocated to wounded soldiers & their families. So i'd like to see them try and prove that one!?!!!
Anyway was going to go to the zoo as have tickets and would keep my house clean till i had to leave at lunch, but it's been raining on and off all day so perhaps not! House is now a tip again :doh:but never mind, it's been hoovered, polished, washing done except last night's stuff, and washing up done so that is clean enough for me lol :rotfl::rotfl:
Off to mum's house tonight too for a sleep in an uncomfy guest bed with 2 kids in my room, lol joy! :rotfl:
Not sure if i will be able to get on the net much out in the middle of wales so hoping I go alright without my daily fix of MSE & FB & Hotmail :rotfl:! (probably not but nothing i can do!)
Have a great bank holiday weekend everyone

Bank Holiday Monday
Thanks slm, I had a great time, I just wish it wasn't a 900+ mile round trip  I am now exhausted after getting home at midnight last night....and have a feeling that I have at least one speeding ticket on it's way to meI was so tired though, and DS2 decided to wake up at 11pm (had fallen aslepp in his car seat at 8pm so thought i was ok...) and he was screaming to get out of it, I also needed the loo, as did ds1 and i was running out of petrol....so i ended up speeding literally all the way round the M25, through the 50mph, average speed checker thingy magijigy!
It was a nice few days but I also spent a fortune (really not kidding here either, just a few years ago i could have probably bought petrol for the year on what i spent over 3 days!!!) £200 quid down on petrol, which by the time i had got home was down to ....1 mile left:o i really do like to push my luck huh! £60 on clothes (I very stupidly left the bag with wellies, coats & my jeans on my kithchen table) and as my dad has a fishery I had to trudge round that on saturday (reminds me of being a child....doing something I detest just to please him lol- thankfully i only have endure it once or twice a year max now!) and as it was freezing i wasn not going to risk it in sandals! so i went into town and ended up in the charity shop buying jeans, coats.... & wellies in the local (most expensive shop ever) shop that has everything from nails, to dvds, to wellies, to make-up!
Dad's house is OLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLD (built around 1500)and BIG and was soooo cold! It kinda made me glad I only had a small house to heat and clean :rotfl: although must be nice to have a house like his if you had staff, but as they don't i really don't know how they clean it, and maintain it...again making me glad for my little 3 bed...was VERY jealous of the beautiful gardens though! My god the kids loved it! I would have quite happily taken that home with me;)
I have to drive back to london on thursday for nan's funeral on monday & nephews birthday party on saturday! Oh and the car very helpfully broke down today, not. Luckily for me I managed to get into the bonnet and fiddle with something ????? and it worked again...there is def a loose wire but if i were to take it to the garage and ask them to fix it I wouldn't have a clue which one actually fixed it as i just twisted and pulled all of them till it switched onhaha, a mechanic I am definately NOT!
Pay day tomorrow and it can not come quick enough!!!:D
I am doing a reading at the funeral and have no chance to practice it as it's down in london  so ic an see me stumbling, and tripping and basically f*ing it up royally on the day! speaking of royals, it was the same reading that one of the queen mothers grandkids read out at hers.
On the way home from dad's last night we had to divert to DH camp that he is at for the week and there was THE most village ever!!! It was just like the shire from lord of the rings, the houses were all thatched & so quaint, I wanted to stop there and not leave lol :rotfl:but alas we all here know my financial situation would not have stretched to one of those houses (perhaps a miniature version for barbies!) and i don't even remember what the village was called now lol I just know it was very near salisbury in wiltshire! Oh and it got me talking to dh (this is a rare occurance) asking him where else he could be based around England, and he said they have camps in northampton that we could go to as they have jobs there the same as his...so we may be looking into moving soon....:)!
AND my dad owns a few houses on the same road as my rental and he may give me the equity & my deposit from it and me sign it over to him so i can get rid of it once and for all...i'm hoping he doesn't change his mind, but he knows it's a good rental as he has others next door to it so perhaps a better investment for him, plus he is only down the road from it....! (fingers crossed for me) AND what this will mean is I can offer full & finals to all creditors and perhaps have enough left over to buy a new(ish) car that actually works  wow so exciting! But (and must stress, this is a BIG but!) this is if my dad ever gets round to it, he is very scattered and spreads himself so thinly on his businesses that he has no time to get ruond to doing 'favours' for me....but i will remind hima few times! until he cracks or gives in! AND then maybe I can be debt free and start to save for my little house (with the big price tag) in the shire......:rotfl::rotfl:perhaps pipe dreams, always good to have something to aim for though hey!
So all in all, a very NON mse weekend, and week to come! I am seriously hoping the budget isn't too bad (i daren't check bank) and we make it to tomorrow, I need extra money this month also as DS2 & DD birthday in july so need to get presents etc ...
ANYWAY enough rambling & nonesense from me I may be back later If i have forgotten something terribly importantbut for now, ciao

ok have decided to put food shopping from today on this months grocery budget even though it will take me over budget, just easier to calculate on the spreadsheet as officially don't get paid till tomorrow. Also it will mean that June's grocery budget will be back on a four week month. So final grocery total for May is £334.64/£300
I have also spent £22 on clothes in Tesco as there was 25% off so that will be coming out of the clothes budget for the month (also adding the black dress into this) so June clothing so far.....£51/60
Entertainment £7.97/£100
Am going to try and stay on top of the budgets this month as last couple of months have been very slack with the budget! And daily spend diary !!!
Have today transferred £400 into my savings account alsoas I had it left over from the pay this month (is in actual fact the money i received from my tenant, so will go towards car tax/insurances etc as want to pay for them in lump sum from now on if possible)
I also checked my post office saving card and have £105 on there - this is for car tax, not exactly enough for a whole year but I may use the money transferred over today for that also- although ideally we would like to buy a new car with the next bonus DH is due! Hmmmm....
ANyway that's it for now, am going to put 2 little ones to bed, and cosy up on sofa, need to unwind after my few hectic days! And off to watch gulliver's travels, hope it's good!

Hi DFW
Your weekend sounds as though it was chaotic, bet you're glad to be home for a rest and warmth.
How annoying about leaving wellies and warm clothes behind, thats the sort of thing that I do. I do try to be organised but can also be scatty and forgetful.
Fingers crossed for you that your Dad is able to help you out financially and theres nothing wrong with having big dreams - it keeps the mind focussed!
Have a good week xxx0 -

Thanks Choo, I've got all my fingers & toes crossed he wants to help and it makes sense for him really as he will practically own the whole end of one cul-de-sac then so all his rentals are in one place (this was my argument anyhow haha :rotfl:)

Tuesday
Well we're back from town, DS1 wanted a new x-box game and his grandad had given him £80 to buy a couple. I was particularly pleased with myself though as he was too shy to go and ask in Game if they had any second-hand ones for sale (couldn't see any out) so i did for him, and they had one that was 'pre-owned' still in its wrapper  apparently the person had brought it back after receiving two but with no receipt they had to trade it so we got it for £16.99 instead of £40+ and was brand new :T:T!! DS was very happy and has since decided he will go and ask every time from now on lol.
I finally caved to a size 12 today as well and went to the PDSA charity shop and bought 4 pairs of trousers, 2 from Next and one from M&S & one from principals oh and picked up a pair of lovely brown shoes which will look fab with jeans in winter for a fiver :T just the right size too, a 5 and half! And also from Next. I got the lot for £16.50 :T:T I was very happy with my finds....very unhappy that none of my size 10's fit me though (boooooooooooo)
Am going to look for a diet thread on here I think and join it, i need motivation to get me going!
Have also made a decision to go to Drs and get my anti- d's reduced. I think that these are the reason why my appetite is insatiable! They also make me very drowsy and tired and I hate feeling like this. I'm hoping to be at least half the dose by winter, so perhaps may have lost some weight by then also (and my huge appetite lol :rotfl:)
Have also bought a new notepad today for my daily spend diary. My other one was very tatty and getting filled up which is why i think i kinda lost track a little. I'm a bit OCD about things like that and if the book is looking messy I won't use it-yes i realise i'm odd :rotfl:-
I have a sore throat & tummy bug todayso not feeling too good, so having a quick meal tonight of jacket potatoes & beans/cheese with salad (from last night) think i'm going to try and get all the washing done, tidy the downstairs at least and hoover then after that mong on the sofa! Am exhausted all the time (another good reason to stop anti d's) and need some energy!!!!
Right-O kids killing one another so i'm off for now, ta-ta
