:TFriday Cont'd
Well what a sh*t day Friday (13th) turned into, DH and I had massive rows! Partly caused by fact he is quitting smoking (moody) and partly because I was hungover (moody, tired) and partly cos we clashed on something petty!
SOooooo I pack my bags, and kisd and head off to my mum's telling him to grow up & leave me alone (after he practically threw me out anyway), left him with the grocery money, and petrol money & entertainment money (basically all the budget money left) and i only had my cash card, so had to get petrol, and a sandwich and headed off to mums.
Got on the A road and straight away hit a big bloody bird, it quite literally had a death wish and threw itself into my windscreen, was only doing 50mph off the slip road, but i think safe to assume i killed it.
Got to mums in a terrible state about it, my nan & me & DH.
SATURDAY
Mum was at work all day till 9pm  so had to keep myself and kids busy and i was NOT in the mood to do either. Went to sister's had walk round town, got sh*t on by a bird (what is it with the birds??) and nearly lost DS in the park. Brill. Went to Nan (not nan who is ill other one) till had to pick mum up. Only to listen to them sla**ing off my father who was at his mother's bedside waiting for her to die (since mum & dad split up all they do is sl*g off my dad's side) I really wasn't in the mood.
then on way to pick up mum, right in front of me (literally missed bonnet by 2 inches) a !!!!!!! tree falls down in the road, great big 20ft tree?! Straight in front of the car, car behind me misses me by an inch! I was in shock! could obviously not pick up tree, had to wait for 3 men to move it, was really wishing i could crawl under a rock at this point! And hibernate until my next life!
Got mum, kids didn't sleep because out of routine! joy!
Sunday
Tried to book a table at a carvery for me, sisters and mum & kids, you can't book a bloody table at a blooming restaurant anymore? !!!!!!? same at harvester! so we waited an hour for a table. Got the table, kids were great, until they had finished eating. with a nice full tummy off they went crawling around the tables, tripping over waiters, helping themselves to fizzy drinks. Now you must think I am a terrible parent & sisters, but honestly we were trying to reign them in but there was 4 adults & 6 kids. And the kids won! Gits!
As we were leaving the restaurant we got a call regarding nan, she had been off life support for an hour and ventilator and was breathing on her own, but dad had another little gem of info for us. His brother & my mother's sister are married (i assure you it's not incest- i checked) and so we are VERY close in blood UNfortunately and they feel they get to know everything about our lives because of this and yet we get to know nothing about them....anyways, i digress, Dad found out that one of my cousins have moved themselves into nan's council house, acting as carer (b*llucks) and got themselves on tenancy so they can claim house ..this annoys me for a number of reasons, 1) she is still alive but as per usual they are thinking about themselves. 2) it appears everyone bar me dad & sisters knew about this. 3) cousin has a very good job & his girlfriend. Ok maybe not good enough to buy a house in london, but who does?! 4) I was homeless about a decade ago, and moved in for a few weeks whilst sorting myself out, they zoned in on this called me harrassing nan & me to move out. It wasn't 'right' i lived there, i wasn't going to get the house if they had anything to do with it ( i didn't want it??) and now they have done this.....so confused/annoyed/upset at the min it is unreal! I feel like dis-owning them but it would cause dramas, could just ignore them but i really want to tell them how much they have upset 'my' family!!!
Hoping for a better week next week! Oh and have slightly blown budget but not loads....will see how much money DH has left though when i go home tomorrow! If he has spent it all the mood I am in i will harm!!!MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Hi Abba,
God i'm exhausted just thinking about my weekend lol. One thing after the other down here! I think that is exactly what we are going to do tomorrow, call council. I remember my dad oh many moons ago, saying to my uncle (one that has now cooked up this scheme to get house) and his other brothers (there were 5 altogether bk then) saying that they could all buy the house for nan, let her live out her days in it rent free and when she passed that they could sell and split profit 5 ways ...but no greedy uncle has to have all for himself. Money money money that side of the family are, they don;t care who gets in their way either.
DH & I have spoken and our arguments kinda got lost in everything else that has happened so i'm going bk tomorrow (run out of clothes anyway haha)
I've just put kids to bed so hoping they will sleep so mum & I can watch a film in PEACE!
And no more news on nan, but tbh, dad was driving bk to his house frmo hospital (few hundred miles) and if anything happened to her i'm not sure they would call him immediately. My other nan is more likely to find out before my dad, because my mum's sister (dad's brother's wife) is also up there....sorry the science of my family is probably baffling enough without me trying to explain what a pain in the a$$ they are as well!
:rotfl:ok i am off to try and chill...i need it! xxxxMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Monday
Sent an email today regarding my nan's house- that's all I shall say on the matter! And I am hoping something comes from it!
I'm driving home today so need to get some more petrol, & no doubt when I get home I will need more food in the house, am so tired, I hate sleeping in beds that aren't my own! I sound so old lol, I used to love it when I was younger (actually that doesn't sound very good does it haha, I just mean I liked visiting friends/family)
Anyway all in all this weekend has had it's ups and downs and i've been out and about but I think I have spent only around £100 (including petrol!) so all is good so far!
And less that 2 weeks until I get DS1 from school for half term now...oh just checked and it's 11 days! that's cheered me up
and we should be visiting wales for a little holiday too (assuming all is well with nan still...)

Hi DFW,
Sorry to hear your weekend hasn't been a good one but you still seem focussed and your post today seems positive. Onwards and upwards, as they say. Just looking at your signature - you have done really well so far this year! I aim to catch up with you by the end of the year, hopefully!

Wednesday
Well today I am expecting the in-laws to arrive, I was only told about this little gem last night so I have sent kids & DH out so I can clean....surely this should be the other way round but hey ho, if you saw my DH cleaning compared to mine you'd understand why (And I'm not claiming to be Aggy or Kim lol)
Also when they said they were going swimming, I had slightly nervous visions of my hair turning green in the pool water....so best i stay at home :rotfl:
Dh has put a braised lamb in the slow cooker for later, although we didn't have broad beans, nor onions so the recipe he was following will be slightly different :rotfl:-actually correction, we DO have onions BUT dh refuses to use frozen ones?????? weirdo! He reckons they don't taste the same, i say I don't care they don't go off, they are already chopped & peeled & once the sauce is on who cares, oh and they are cheaper (as we tend to throw away so much we probably average it out at £2 per onion that actually gets eaten!!!)
My ds1 breaks up from school next thurs/fri and I had promised my estranged father I would visit (:undecided) so I have been looking at the route today, from my house to DS1 school it is 150 miles, then from DS1 school to army camp to get DH it is 150 miles then from army camp to father's house it is another 172 miles....I am now beginning to regret saying I would go :shhh::think:!! I have a one yr old, two yr old & twelve yr old to pacify in the car now, oh joy.
Yesterday we did the food shopping and was pleased to say we got there at exactly the right time and loads of meat was reduced :T:j this NEVER happens to me! So we got a big bit of lamb, beef, chicken, corned beef (random) & sausages and the rest of the weekly shop for only £75 which I thought was fab! As the meat itself should have come to over £30 !!!
As DH is back at work on monday I am hoping i can get the food in quite cheap so I don't go too over on the budget! I'll update my sig in a min....today is a NSD for me so I will just leave sig as it is as I never got the one on friday that i thought i was getting!
Oh and DH is doing much better on his patches now giving up smoking, so maybe he won't be spending anymore money on cigs ever again :T that would be lovely!
Anywho, i've put off cleaning for ages, so off I go to do it! Have a great day peeps

Sounds like you are doing well DFW and I definately agree with Abba - your dad only has one person to transport so much easier for him! Became Mrs W in 2011:smileyhea Blessed with Baby boy 1 in 2013, Baby boy 2 in 2016 and Baby boy 3 in 2018 :smileyheaDebt @ 19/8/11 [STRIKE]£20,060 [/STRIKE] current £0Paid off 100% :dance:0

I agree too! But the is the reason why we never see him (at least 3 years now) and he's never met DD or DS2!!
plus he owns a fishery with log cabins so we get to stay there for free and it will be like a mini break (horrible but this is THE only reason why i have agreed!)
My father is somewhat eccentric....that is putting it mildly too!

Thursday
Well first thing this morning I received the news that i'd been waiting for, my gran sadly passed away in the night, in her sleep. In a way i'm glad because her suffering has come to an end, she can reunite now on the other side with grandad, and her youngest son who died a couple of years ago. I haven't yet cried properly (i'm surprised, i'm usually all tears at things like this) but i don't think it has sunk in yet properly & also I haven't seen her....I had to make the call to let my 2 sisters know, also my mum and then my DS1. Sometimes being the eldest child sucks, you get all the cr*ppy jobs that noone else wants to do, like being the bearer of bad news all the time.
The funeral is in a few weeks, and i'm not really looking forward to it at all
I took the kids out today to the zoo with DH & MIL & SIL whilst they were up visiting for the day. I'm glad I went now as otherwise I would have just moped around the house all day.
LSD today as only paid for hairdye (yes again *sigh*) my hair is now a lovely shade of RED-pretty close to that there colour too....!
However, I am going to need to go out at some point and spend as DH lost his mobile and is bk at work sunday on a course hours away from here so we need one for him so he can keep in touch ...also I need a black dress, I am 2 sizes bigger than the last funeral...so need to start scouting shops & ebay now!
Oh and to top the day, I got 2 more defaults in the post.....!
Hope everyone (else- barr me!) is having a lovely day!
