    Hi DFW

Sorry to hear about your Gran, as you say - its not nice but at least she's not suffering anymore.

Red hair is very daring, I think I'm daring when I go a shade lighter or darker!

Zoo sounds lovely and just what you needed to get out and about.

Defaults don't sound good, but I suppose it was inevitable for you.

Hope you have a better day today xxx

Thanks girls :) xxx I'm glad she's not suffering now, and also glad she isn't here to see how the family is falling apart over the house, stolen money from her post office account (approx 10K), her belongings being stolen/thrown away and all sorts of other things. It's really quite stressful and I can see a huge row erupting on the funeral day :(. Now I know the Irish like to party hard, and drink hard so mix those two with bad feelings and well I think it will all kick off big styleeeeeee (as my DS1 would say!)

We went to the park today, the one in town and was pleased to see they had re-developed it :) it is now HUGE and lots of stuff for older kids too as well as the younger ones....and not just those in between! They had a sandpit, LOADS of baby swings (about 10! compared to 3 in the old park) a trampoline (in the ground) and for the bigger kids loads of climbing walls, and also this zip rope thingy with a tyre and you sit on it and it goes down the wire until you reach the tyre (omg i'm not very good at explaining it haha, it's good though I had a go haha):rotfl:

I also popped to fruit & veg shop and spent £14 there, will do the whole week. Got milk & bread from Iceland & also some meat which was £12.50 and should do 2 dinners (was ready made kebabs...could have done it so much cheaper if we had made them ourselves so must do this next time)-LAZY!

DH is going to work tomorrow lunch, so i only have me & 2 small kids again so am hoping food will stretch till thursday when I go to pick DS1 up from school. Then i'm off to dad's house for the weekend after diverting to get DH (can see me wanting to sleep all weekend after that drive lol) so hopefully will cut down on food costs- although will probably be eating out instead ...

Tonight I have cider, chocolate & a film on sky to watch with DH, as from tomorrow will be back to being by myself for 6 weeks in the evenings :( ..I guess the positive of this is that I can go to bed and catch up on sleep earlier than I do now and have no worries about being branded either lazy, boring or old :p

Will update my grocery budget now...I feel I am very very close...but if i have no more spends this week I may (may) just make it!!! :rotfl:

  • oh and forgot to add that i got kids some presents on friday, was going to give it straight to them but decided to save for birthday/christmas! They had a special offer in the disney store so picked up woody & buzz toys for £20 each (usually around £40 and £35 for each so was like buy one get one free ;) )

Also ordered DS2 a birthday present, DD has one and he is always nicking it so decided to get him one when i got an email saying they had 20% off atm :D ...oh and 'it' is a didicar lol

DD wants a camera so i want to get one of those fisher price ones in pink but am determined to get that on offer too so not got one yet lol

    Sunday

Have just dropped DH off at work for the week :( *BOO* and now have just me and two tinies until thursday when I can pick up DS1. I'm quite scared of being on my own now after getting DH back for so long and being with us every day for 6 weeks :( suppose I will get used to it again though!

I've started my diet today, had a banana sandwich (toasted) for brekkie, and savoury rice for lunch. Also was going to have a nectarine for snack till DS2 nicked it decided he didn't like it and threw it in the bin before I had a chance to grab off him (grr) so just had another banana (will prob regret this tomorrow lol)

I have weighed myself on the wii fit, measured all the love handles ;) and ready to lose 10lb in 2 weeks....till the wii fit told me don't be silly this is unrealistic (did it have to p*ss on my dreams!) so have re-set target to 4 weeks....then after that time i still have another few lbs to go ...but if i can fit in my clothes i won't care ;) For dinner I am making kebabs & rice (same as last night but didn't freeze meat so may as well use up and they were yummy) then I am going to bed early so I don't get hungry (it's not cheating honest) after a few nights of this hopefully my tummy will realise i'm no longer feeding it till it bursts and will calm down on all the growling??! Also have my old slimming world book out to follow on syns instead of calorie counting as i'm not really sure on how to calorie count everything!? I'm pleased to see that I am still 1 stone lighter than I was when I started slimming world bk in december 2009! So must get back on the wagon before I get back up that high again!

If i don't need to go out for food this week we have made the grocery budget :) yey! And i've given DH the extra money i had for it anyway as where he is going it's pasy as you eat (??) and he will be re-imbursed in his wages.

Ohhhhh and must add!!!....I paid the school fees last night :D and was SOoooooooooooo pleased, as all I had to do was transfer from our savings <
love this new word in my vocab!
and hey presto we didn't add anything to our debt, and it's all paid :D Budgeting definitely pays off :D!!! SO happy about this!

Have ordered a beautiful silk black dress in the sale at HoF for only £35 reduced from £150!! It's in a size 10 though and i'm quite (very) worried it won't fit! But it was so beautiful I have ordered it anyway to see if I might be able to squeeze into it...and if not I may keep anyway as such a good price and can be my incentive to lose weight once and for all!!! WIsh me luck....! (i'll need it!)

    Hey DFW,

So sorry to hear about your Gran. Its funny how the big events in life seem to bring out the worst traits in family members. I hope it all gets sorted.

Good luck with losing weight - I need to start eating better, I have ate way too much in the last few weeks! Hopefully that gorgeous dress you ordered will be just the motivation you need!

Woohoo, look at you - paying for things out of your savings, go you! :T

  • Just a quick message will update later, I got my dress! And it is Beeeeeeauuuuutiful!!!!!! And it doesn't fit :( !!!! And i'm going to have to send it back because the only place it doesn't fit is my bust! Booooooooooooo....I never lose weight from there so there is no chance even going on a diet will fix that, dammit, dammit, dammit!!! Not happy!

But went on bravissimo website and they have a black dress, nothing fancy, in the sale so think that one will have to do at least I know it will fit the bust then! lol!
