well kids are finally asleep, the routine i kind of had in place has been knocked for six since hubby has been back
it's very tiring esp as he sleeps through EVERYTHING! it was his turn to get up with the kids the other night and i had to literally kick him out the bed for him to get up! Then i got moaned at saying well if you were already awake you could have done it ...i've only just gone and done 6 and a half months of getting no sleep, plus 6 days after he was back so he could catch up on sleep grrrrr! so annoying!
I forgot to add i made some money on ebay over the weekend, not much only a fiver or so but got rid of some bits from my cupboard, am running out of things to ebay really lol, but at least i have space (which i have filled with other bits of cr*p)
Have ordered a cheque book from bank so i can write one out for the army for the money we owe them. Then whatever is left we are buying a holiday for the summer and i don't really think there will be much money left. over a grand has gone on debts, around 1000 on clothes, days out, PETROL (GRRRRR over 150 0n this), eating out, netbook & new mobile for hubby (cheap 30 quid one). So from next month i expect to be getting back to the daily grind of searching for pennies *sigh* lol it didn't last very long did it!
Before the money totally disappears though i would like to buy a yearly pass for the local zoo as that way i won't have to pay for soft play places (there is one at zoo so would be free if i have a pass) and give us something to do when broke and it's not raining!
The car is on it's way out again, needs to go bk to the garage  and have parking brake re-set again!!! I have spent more money on this car than i paid for it! I had to add the tax bill to my CCCS DMP, so we went through the budget again, and the man on the other end was completly surprised when i told him i planned on putting £50 aside for the car each month, me on the other hand i was debating whether or not i should double this amount (joke) but the cam belt is due, there is a fog light broke, the two rear wheels only just passed MOT last yr and we never replaced them, next mot is due august so i just know it is going to fail on loads by then so i thought i was being good forward planning for all this.....i'm still planning on putting it aside whether or not he thinks it a good idea lol, i've just renamed it to 'emergency fund' to suit their budget to show to my creditors!
Still haven't signed up for any survey places, really should do this, just seem to have no motivation, need more sleep....!MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Well i went to Te$co for the new Harry Potter movie today :j:j:j it's £7 atm so i had to get there before the offer finished (life or death situ here haha) and £47 later i walked out again :doh:i thought we'd make a night of it and bought pizza, few snacks, coleslaw & potato salad etc! Not quite sure how it clocked up to that much but it has reiterated one thing to me............always make a list, always take a list, always stick to the list!!!! I seem to be in holiday mode with the budget. I know we have a little extra in the bank this month but i really wanted to stick to budget:o failing miserably atm! It's quite hard too as normally i would buy juice for example ....and it will last a week....this week it has lasted 2 days  as DH and DS1 have just guzzled it!!! I've tried to explain that the food needs to last 1 week but it's really hard (seemingly) for them to understand...and stick to this!!! What to do?>????
Anyway have a nosey 12 yr old poking over my shoulder and DH now thinks i am writing to a lover i think as i told them to stop being nosey and i was writing to a 'friend' haha. Just don't think DH would get me writing everything down to the entire MSE community & whoever is lurking! Does everyone here tell their OH? I hope it's not just me who hides it :rotfl:MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. I certainly say nothing to my DH. He'd certainly never get the idea of sharing things with complete strangers! Writing things down rather than saying out loud to DH or close friends seems easier and somehow I'm sure saves grief!GC 2024 £1445.91/£3000

all my family know I'm on here and they think it's great x x x I also got the kids up mega early and dragged them down to tesco........not a massive fan but daughter is and she hasn't seen this one lol £7 is too much of a bargain to miss xNEXT TARGET: Halifax credit card DEC 22 £0 / £4499.12POAMAYC 2011 £6378.35 POAMAYC 2012 £5000.78POAMAYC 2013 £3480.04 POAMAYC 2014 £4085.14POAMAYC 2015 £7565.24 POAMAYC 2016 £8000.90 POAMAYC 2017 £7278.80 POAMAYC 2018 £13208.18POAMAYC 2019 £13309.28 POAMAYC 2020 £15026.050

Today we went to the zoo and bought yearly passes for all of us (well 2 little ones are free at the mo) came to just over a hundred quid, but i see this as an investment into cheap days out! The zoo is a 5 min drive from us and is pretty big and we also spotted we can now gain entry to other zoos around the country too, so a bonus there :j
I've yet to try my zumba wii game that was bought for me as i won't do it with anyone watching lol, so i guess i better try and kick everyone out for an hour tomorrow ! I'm determined to get a little bit more in shape! (jeans getting waaaaay to tight lol)
Tomorrow is usually breakfast and coffee morning but think i might give it a miss as DH needs someone to wait in for a parcel (cheap refurbed laptop) as he needs to bring the car in to be looked at ()
Think we may get some use out of our free swim passes too that we have, i have only been to the garrison pool once with both kids and was a nightmare as it's a proper pool so no shallow end for toddlers lol, but we get in free and is at the end of our road so i should make more use of that one really than driving to the leisure pool which costs a tenner...it's just a shame the kids also prefer this one lol. Still we have around £80 left for our budget for entertainment this month, so can still go swimming with that, cinema (am going to attempt to take the little ones too) we're going to watch one of the kids shows though which are cheap and they don't mind little kids fidgeting so much! Will also be taking more trips to the zoo nowso this should fill up some of the easter hols!
DH and I were looking for a cheap few days away but as he is on leave until end may think i will wait until the kids are bk at school as it will be cheaper and less busy also. We still haven't decided on where to go on holiday. I am really tempted to take the money out and put it aside and just get a last minute deal before we go. I just can't bring myself to pay the prices that i've seen online  for 2 weeks in rhodes (all inclusive) it was around 3 grand for all of us!!!!! (way over my budget lol) perhaps i am just being too tight...and seeing as though my last holiday was a lastmin.com one and was around 6 years ago to tunisia perhaps i ought to realise prices have gone up :rotfl:
On a different note...desperate housewives is on tonight, oooh i can't wait. Love a bit of sillyness and wishing i was one of those glam looking mums, size 6, with perfect hair, nails, make up and house instead of being slightly overweight (well i say slightly i'd love to drop 2 dress sizes but one would be fab too!), hair scraped back as always dirty (usually baby throwing something at me) no make up as can't be a$$ed, nails bitten to pieces, pasty from british weather and skin looking not too good from too much chocolate & wine:rotfl:

lol i completely agree, my DH would think i was nuts for publishing a SOA and lots of personal things. I'm sure if a friend saw me on here they would guess who i was, i'm not trying to hide it esp well lol, but at the same time i haven't told lots of people i use this site for forums...although i think it is well known i use the site for all the fab info as i am always harping on about it to everyone i see :money::rotfl::rotfl:MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. I hope she liked it! I saw it at the cinema (was DS birthday treat) and loved it but we had some silly man & son sat near us and kept talking! grrrr! So i bought it as soon as i couldand i also have an awful memory for films, completely convince myself i've never seen it until half way through i remember something and then it's like oooh yes i remember this, but don't tell me the end i don't remember that bit :rotfl:lol selective memory at it's best huh! x
