  • The furniture is here :D just wish i had an hour to sort all the clothes into it now. I gave up as kids were pulling it all to pieces seconds after it got here and putting juice cups & scratchy things all over the top of it! grr! so will do it when they are napping i think!

Another NSD today for me :D i'm staying in and if i do pop out it will only be to get my clothes washed round a friends house!

The sun is shining here :) hopefully all the bad weather has passed now and spring can start!

  • Well house is nearly sorted out and whilst cleaning out my old bedside table i found a load of old letters from DH to me just after i had DD (he was on tour) and they put a smile on my face :) were very sweet! And I only have a 13 days left till he is home!

My friend and I have joked we are going to leave the men and go off on a spa weekend....and the more i think about it (and listen to kids screaming at me) the more appealing it sounds. I could really do with a couple of child-free days :( am just exhausted lately. The blood test results came back normal though only iron that was slightly low. Think dr was right i just need some sleep, rest & a couple of days where i can be 'me' and not run around ragged looking after babies *sigh*

Anyhow going to spend the evening sorting out my new cupboards, and watching a film and hopefully getting some sleep...ds was up ALL night last night just crying!

Have a good evening all x

  • well it definitely was NOT a nsd today :o had to buy kids some new shoes (why do they both have to grow at the same time!) managed to get DS some in a$da for £8 but had none in DD size -well apart from wellies lol- so ended up having to go to brantano and spent £16!!! on the cheapest pair they had in her size....i was shocked to see a pair for nearly £40  considering how fast they grow you would have to have money to burn spending that on shoes IMO! I also got me a pair of linen trousers and cheap top in the sale :) and i have sandals (flip flop things) from last yr which are ok for now. I have already blown the budget majorly on clothes this month so was trying to limit damage anymore but i guess i may as well give up lol as i have spent probably over 2x the amount i budgeted!

Have also bought me some nice new shampoo & conditioner (usually use cheap shops own) but was on offer & DH is back soon ;) also bought 2 hair dyes to do my hair tonight/tomorrow so hopefully when he returns i won't look quite so like the cave woman that i look like now lmao :rotfl:oh and also bought new razors haha i have been using the same one for 3 months now :o god without a man around i properly go back to cave woman times and forget to make an effort :) but seeing as though the sun is shining(more skin on show) and DH home (even more skin on show hopefully ;);)) i am making an effort LOL

So that was my excuse for spending, and i will continue to tell myself that :rotfl:

I have done well anyway i have money left in my petrol budget, & afew other areas so have equally spread them to cover clothes, over spends on grocery etc :)

AND have decided next month I am going to revert bk to taking cash out at beginning of month, putting into envelopes and leaving debit card at home!!! I don't spend so readily then when it is cold hard cash in my hand rather than a bit of plastic ;) -all psychological with me you see lol-

anyway lovely day here again so hopefully the kids will make use of their new summer shoes before it starts raining again!

  • LOL DB, well I'm hoping it doesn't break as it was a royal pain in the a$$ to put together :p

Today i'm staying in...it seems to be that time of the month that i get absolutely exhausted for several days on end for no apparant reason :huh: i've been taking vitamins so i am hoping they will kick in soon! The weather is nice so am going to get kids dressed if i can muster the energy to get off the sofa and chuck them into the garden to play with the sand table (sand is all over the floor though thanks to them playing with it yesterday!)

My blood tests came back normal so may have to go bk to dr and ask for more tests my mum thinks i may have the same as her (and several others in the family) and the only way to diagnose is to test for everything else first :( don't really know if i want to know though lol.

Pay day next thursday it can't come quick enough really!

  • finally have some energy now the kids are in bed ;) i have spent most the morning/afternoon on the sofa and all i can say is thank god for frozen meals we had a nice hearty stew that took less than 5 mins to heat up ;)

My washing machine is still broken i can't get into it to fix it  have to take the front off and i don't have the right screwdriver piece ...My hoover is on it's way out now too, and the parking light on the car is flashing at me grrrrrr. why does everything expensive have to go at once! am hoping dh can fix them all when he gets bk! only another week to go without a washing machine & i've been sweeping up with a dustpan and brush instead of the hose on the hoover as that was doing my back in!

I nearly had a NSD too but then decided to buy some cheap bits off ebay. Got some hairdressing scissors so i can do DS1&2 & DD hair and also am going to do my own :p should be fun! Also got some straightners and a cheap dvd off amazon...spent £100 altogether :T which sounds like a lot but i got some real bargains so i'm well chuffed!

And have saved £45 by not going to the hairdressers for me & kids ( i did take a hairdressing course a few yrs bk so can cut hair honest :p)

Tonight am going to chill and watch some t.v (was fast asleep last night by 9pm!) and maybe have a glass of wine! Tomorrow should be a NSD but i have run out of choc.....hmm...so unless i muster the energy to make cookies or a cake i will be buying choc! :rotfl:what an addiction to have huh! why can't choc be calorie free!!!

  • Oh my :D I am SO proud of myself right now i had to come and tell someone

TODAY i managed to use a drill (ok not such a biggy but is one for me :rotfl:) and fix the net curtains that had fallen out the wall, I then changed a plug on the hoover to fix the old one :D (have done this lots of times so again not such a wow)

BUT I then watched half a dozen videos on youtu$e and fixed my washing machine gasket by myself!!!!!!!!!!! I am so chuffed have given myself a pat on the back :rotfl::rotfl:I have a wash on at the moment - to test it out lol- I seriously hope it is fixed now or i will be :o:o:o to say the least haha! It took me nearly an hour, not quite the 10 mins it took them on yovtube (i reckon they edited anyway!!) So now i don't have to wait for hubby to fix it nor the hoover or the nets :T

Oh am feeling very clever and smug right now :D
