  • morning :j

just checked quidco and have £45 due to be paid on the next payment run. I'm putting this into a savings account.I also have £1.68 on TCB payable but i will leave that for now as i'm hoping the argos cashback will confirm soon so i can get it all together :T

I am still half deaf in one ear thanks to :Tear infection but i have to say this isn't such a bad thing with the kids on holiday :rotfl::D. I just want to sleep though so still not feeling 100%. Hoping dh will take all 3 kids to his mums then i can nap/have quiet bath and get cracking with some ebay items so they can all go on this weekend. I will also put them on facebook as i'd rather sell them through there. No final fees, no p&p and customer comes to me ;)

Bank account is looking healthy-ish (its in the black lol) and i am due tax credits on monday so will be paid tuesday now i expect. I will take half to see me through this month and then put half away for next month.

As i'm not using the letting agents anymore i also need to find tenants soon and i have no idea where the current tenants bond was paid into and their deposit  so not sure if i need to get in contact with the letting agents again ???!

I'm still waiting on a cupboard to be sent from ebay -another flat pack but really don't mind about that one as it's going inside our wardrobe as extra storage so will be hidden. And a phone!

Today i would like to :
    • pack dh and kids off to his mums for the afternoon :D
    • have a nice bath in pEACE!
    • finish all the washing we have (does it ever end )
    • iron & photograph items for ebay & facebook
    • Do a nice long meditation in a quiet house...and if i so happen to fall asleep  so be it ;)
    • tidy up lounge & kitchen...not even going to tackle the mountain of clothes in my room until new cupboard turns up!
    • look into an isa account for new tax year so i can stash away some savings away from hubbys prying eyes & my reach!
    • catch up on MSE diaries!!! i've neglected mine and everyone's diaries lately partly due to being shattered and partly due to de-cluttering it has taken over my life! :rotfl:and partly just to getting out of habit!!!!
    :D that'll do for now

  • Just claimed another £10 survey voucher for brother for birthday. Still need to find a pressie for mum & sister's birthday. I don't want to give sister voucher as she will just spend on kids and mum would spend hers on something for someone else! so need pressies for them :) all birthdays are in May/ June though so a bit of time left still :D

    WELL HAPPY EASTER ALL :D

I just wrote a lovely long reply and it's gone

    So start again!

I've given DH control of the savings, am I mad? probably yes. It's gone into stocks & shares some mid risk some high risk. He has £650. I am also opening a new regular saver, £50 a month. so that is safe at least. Worse case scenario we only end up with £600 this time next year. Best case scenario we end up with last years, and this years and interest ;)

I've listed 15 things on ebay. And i've been threatened with account suspension because i listed a pair of designer shorts (that i bought from charity shop ) not sure what to do i can't prove they are real but i don't think they are fake?! eek what should i do ??!

I've signed up for reiki II in June :T although i haven't actually got the money to pay for it yet :o:eek:so i need to find £175 before June :o! Hoping ebay will prove fruitful :rotfl:

Can't wait until post resumes am still waiting on cupboard to finish off my room! There are clothes everywhere! All waiting to be put into the cupboard!!!

I may list some more bits on ebay or fb later but my mojo has disappeared at the mo!

Curry for dinner from the freezer :)

Today & yesterday were NSD's and i am absolutely gutted that i can't get to home bargains it opened on saturday :eek: but car is not really up to it until it has been to garage!!!

Anyhow battery going dead on laptop & dinner needs warming up! take care fellow mse'ers!:A

I've agreed but i'm not taking it off ebay until they show up with money in hand for what we agreed ;) i already have 3 watchers and it's been on there for 3 hours! But it is bulky in my front room and i want it gone lol so hopefully she'll turn up *fingers crossed all*

Yes good luck with the ebay. I am sure you will make enough to at least help with the course fees :) I think you are very brave letting OH be in charge of the savings. Think my OH would invest in  well who knows, but i am sure it wouldnt make money!

Hope your cupboard arrives soon as i totally understand the feeling of clothes everywhere feels. Puts you in a down mood from the start.

  • I think it's time for you to sit down and relax. You've been busy lately what with your decluttering and ebaying etc. you need to give yourself time to get over your ear and chest infections. Lecture over. :D

Well done on handing some of the responsibility re savings to your OH. I think it's a great idea and hopefully one that'll see you with a good return on investment in 12 months time.

  • :rotfl:thank you all :) i had to give him something to do or he would just keep banging on at me about how broke we are. This way if we are broke in a year he will have noone to blame but himself ;)

My buyer picked up at 10 am :D so i have £25/175 for my reiki :rotfl: I will get there slowly but surely ;) once i have my level 2 reiki i can actually be insured and do it as a job  i wouldn't want to though until i felt more confident but i can't wait to start practising on lots of people :T

Have cleaned front room & tidied kitchen this morning and i'm feeling really dizzy so i may do as fluffy says and have a rest :o i'm also beginning to wonder if my hearing loss is permanant  i'm half way through the anti biotics and still feeling ill & deaf!!! I'm usually feeling much better by now!

Need to check bank today but think it's still ok and tax credits are due in for the month tomorrow so will be ok! I really want my cupboard now am getting very impatient. They had better have sent it already!

Will try and catch up on some diaries now, it's raining out and cold so i doubt we'll be off anywhere as car not safe to drive (AGAIN)!

    xx

You sound as though you have been rather busy and possibly over doing it again.
Sit down and have a rest.

Glad you have some money for your reiki and the buyer collected the item. :j

We have lost our CTC as they reduced the money you can be paid. Plus DD leaves schol for university this year. We will also lose CHB. :(

I hope the rest of your day is pleasant.

  • Good morning :)

Dh is back to work today after the easter break. He's away tonight although i'm not sure for how long. I kind of gave up saying to him 'can you speak up dear, i'm deaf' so just nodded and said 'yep, ok.' :undecided so for all i know he could be gone for 1 night, 1 week, 1 month :o

I've ordered DD & DS2 birthday presents (the last of them) on toys r us. They had a £10 gift voucher free if you spent over £40, free delivery if you spent £50 and cashback. Plus a free box of lego worth £14 if you spent over £50 on lego. So i got dd the cinderella castle which appears to be the same price everywhere and ds2 a vet school thing and the free tub they can share ;) cost me £70 but should have been £85 and i will get 3.03% cashback wohoo :rotfl:it was all budgeted for out of birthday/xmas fund so all good. and if i decide not to give it to them it can go towards their xmas presents instead!

I'm still waiting on a reply from ebay seller. I want to know where my chest of drawers is.........! Also the phone i bought on 1st april has not arrived, now i realise there is a bank holiday to factor into both of these but still....!

Need to clean up today but tbh i cba. i'm exhausted, feel worse than i did before antibiotics and just want to sleep...which of course i can't do as i have to look after kids!

I'm debating whether to take out my cashback that is due to be paid this week and put towards my reiki course, or to do with it as i said i would and put in savings  will have a think on it but i think i will take it out. The allocated amount has already gone to savings this month so that's good.

I got a top up shop yesterday of £55 :eek::eek: yes that IS right a TOP UP and it cost £55 . All i got was a reduced joint, ham, reduced prawns & a couple of pizzas & some reduced flowers......and the rest was fruit & veg & juice............ HOW can they charge that much. I'm disgusted, really. I wish i had gone to ald1 but i went to asd@ as it was a safer route with a dodgy car (no country lanes where i could be stranded for hours by myself!) what a fool. I def need to get back into going to ald1 and getting a BIG trolley for £55 rather than a small trolley from asd@ for £55  (can you tell i wasn't happy :rotfl:)

I am also beginning to wonder if i have burst an ear drum, need to google this, and see if it is common...and hope it can repair itself  i really can't hear anything and i feel dizzy and unbalanced all day. DH thinks i am over - exaggerating and told me to stop moaning. I very nearly am ready to divorce him if he tells me i am a hypochondriac. Even if i am, (i'm not honest :p) he should love me faults and all. If i see him roll his eyes at me one more time i am going to drive over to my fathers shop & borrow his nail gun and fricking nail my husbands eyes shut. Ok maybe bit harsh. But fair. Honest :p
